Well that was a bust!  The sedative did nothing for me at my MRI appointment. I think it was a placebo?  Either way I didn’t really need it.  This MRI machine was much bigger than the one at the hospital, & they were looking at my lower back, not my brain & entire spine.  We saw the MRI, I have a bulging disc, and I’ve had it since high school.  I’m guessing I have some options.  A) More physiotherapy B) More messages & chiropractor visits C) Surgery

Kim just assumes it will be surgery & then got really worried about me aka she started crying.  I held her & told her not to worry about me, I don’t like seeing her so worried, and we don’t even know what the doctors will say.  The only thing we’re pretty sure about is no cortisone shot.  They can do more damage to the bone structure than good.  Kim, don’t worry whatever the doctors decide, we’ll cross that bridge when we get there.

That was our Friday night!  No more wild parties here, we’s old!

Saturday was very lazy.  We did nothing, didn’t even breakup with Janis!  We watched the Blue Jays lose……..again.  We also rented “Christmas Office Party” hilarious R rated comedy!

Today, I’ll be watching the Toronto Blue Jays hopefully win their 2nd game so their record looks a bit better instead of the current 1W-4L.  We can all just pretend there is no problem in LF & 1B, we’ll pretend they’ll make it to the playoffs in Sept-Oct??????

If you’re here strictly for the cancer news, that’s all I have for you.  Slow/Quiet week.  Stretching everyday & many routine appointments to come by the end of July.

Instead of Stone Sour giving us photos from the studio from months ago with the album title.  How about a release date for the album Hydrograd?

Mr. Todd Bryanton.  Did I mention he’s a really good guy too!

This looks like a good movie!

Everything The Watchmen do musically is AWESOME!!!  Their new live album of 21 songs is FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!

Albums on the way Linkin Park, Queens of the Stone Age, Royal Blood those are almost set in stone that they’ll be released, & of course Stone Sour.

Movies I would like to see this year.

80 squats, 1500 crunches, 140 leg lifts & 60 pushups every day, 5 days a week.  I’d like to see 100 squats a day, 200 leg lifts a day, & 100 pushups a day. It may take a while but I’ll get there eventually.

Monday was Labour Day, the rest of the week was lost/spent on learning how to use this computer.  Wednesday & Friday I got my exercise in finally.  This is my total for two days pf exercise; 3000 crunches, 80 squats, 120 pushups, & 140 leg lifts.

You’d think with all of this exercising I’d be ripped, not the case?  I have to remember I had zero muscle on me after a year of being in a bed, waking up only for pain killers.  I truly am “Something from Nothing”  LANGUAGE!!!!!!!!!!

Nice one Todd Bryanton!

iTunes: http://geni.us/theprettyreckless

Amazon Music: http://geni.us/tpramz

Google Play: http://geni.us/tprgp

I was expecting “Highly Suspect” to have this album available for preorder also?  REALLY  “available in the USA only not in Canada on iTunes” I guess I’ll wait some more or is it a hoax?

I guess this article explains everything?

I already have 5 or 6 albums to sift through for number 1 at the end of the year.  By the end of October I’ll have 6 more albums being fully released & then there are even more that could very likely be released this year?

Matt Heafy & the rest of Trivium are one of many that could make a mark on heavy music!  Podcast link inside the link.

And happy “Sharknado: The 4th Awakens”. I wish I was joking, but I’m not. It should be on whatever science fiction channel you have on July 31st?

I fell asleep to“Pentatonix” their self titled debut album of original material. They have 3 previous shorter albums of cover songs.

I exercised to “Bad Religion” about 20 of 22 songs from the album “All Ages”, then about 5 songs from the album “Under the Table & Dreaming” by the “Dave Matthews Band”, then 2 songs from “Dire Straits” the album “Love Over Gold”

I procrastinated a bit by listening to “Foo Fighters” album “Sonic Highways”

Remember most of this is just about me bombing around in a wheelchair, currently t the age of 36, I had stage 4 brain cancer at the age of 28 & I’ve been in a wheelchair since Tuesday, February 5th 2008, & I listen to a pile of music & I have played baseball from the age of 4-17 then I quit because my arm said I had to! Stupid arm!

I know there are people out there that have a much larger music collection than I do. I backed up my iTunes files the other day & I currently own 1180 albums on my iTunes + roughly 300/600 CDs I have yet to put on iTunes.

The majority of info on here is mostly stuff I’m interested in, there’s a lot more info out there that I’m not necessarily interested in. I urge you to look for info you’re interested in &/or let me know what you’d like to see here more & if there’s an artist or group I should know about? Feedback is always welcome!

The rest of our Sunday consisted with butternut squash soup for supper, along with Kim & I watching recorded “Shark Week” shows on our PVR. I think we have 2 or 3 to go still?

Upcoming bands we need to know about? I think I’ve shared this before as well? Sorry if I have?

Yep, I’m pretty sure I’ve seen this before & there wasn’t anything that “caught my eye” or ears

Best Dave Grohl drumming moments 1985-2015

Dave Grohl released the album “Foo Fighters” 21 years ago today in 1995. He recorded the album by himself on every song, one portion of a guitar part was recorded by someone else.

http://www.rollingstone.com/music/features/foo-fighters-19951005 Both articles are quite interesting!

Easily my favourite song on this album!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Below……

I hope this “Alter Bridge” recently signing with a new record company, “Napalm Records”, doesn’t delay the already recorded 5th studio album?

Ah, well played Soundgarden…..

I just don’t like the idea of free music. Yes, I download torrents before I was sick. Then when I was able to leave the rehabilitation hospital for a few hours, Kim would take me to a store to purchase a couple of CDs. “Don’t you have this already as a torrent download?” she’d ask me. “Yes, I do but I just don’t feel right by not paying for it” was my response.

Now the majority of torrent sites are gone as is Napster which started this entire thing. So what would I do if I was a member of an upcoming group? Record the first successful album & put it everywhere, then tour like mad anywhere & everywhere. Record the 2nd album, keep it as hush hush as possible. Announce a tour, sell the CD only at the show. Once the tour is over, then put it on everything, streaming sites, iTunes, CD & Vinyl. From then on tour first, then release the album on the artist(s) website for $19, once the group is well known.

Why did you start playing in a band or singing as a solo artist? Because most of those people wanted to hear something a little different than what was out there or that’s just what they want to do for a living & not have a 9-5 job.

I haven’t thought this whole thing through yet. Somebody will upload the album to a site for everyone. I’m not a famous or unknown musician as it is. This is more than likely not going to work, but it’s all I’ve got off of the top of my head.

The Blue Jays won last night in San Francisco 4-0 terrible batting, AWESOME pitching by left handed starting pitcher J. A. Happ. He almost finished the game, just couldn’t get the last out of the game, but he did get the first 26 outs of the game with only a few hits allowed.

Jose Bautista is rumoured to have said he wants $217,000,000 over 7 years and Edwin Encarnacion is rumoured to have asked for $119,000,000 over 7 years. Both of their contracts are done at the end of the year. I say let them test the free agent market. They both had better start showing why they’re worth that much? At the moment I’d shave off $8,000,000 a year from what they want. A really good batting average is .300. Jose Bautista is currently hitting .207 with 6 home runs. Edwin Encarnacion is hitting . 306 with 6 home runs. The Blue Jays will show them the money when they start producing more! Before this afternoons game the Toronto Blue Jays are treading water with 18W-17L. I don’t know what’s wrong with them? Well I know their big problems are the bullpen/relief pitchers & their offense, I couldn’t tell you how to fix those problems though.

The Agonist are back in the studio already & recording vocals? AWESOME!

“Time to track some vocals!

I exercised to “Fine Young Cannibals” the album “The Raw & The Cooked”, then a portion of “Dire Straits” the album “Brother in Arms”

I watch some sports. Mostly Toronto Blue Jays baseball & the Canadian Football League. Never the NFL/National Football League, the NBA/National Basketball League & very little NHL/National Hockey League. The NHL, for me, has gone on a steady decline since the mid ’90s when the New Jersey Devils created the neutral zone trap, a fancy word for a style of defense. Ever since that time & whatever commissioner Gary Bettman has done to the game, just sucks. It’s all about fist fighting and really hard body checking. I think I could count on one hand, maybe 2, the amount of periods of NHL I’ve watched since the recent strike/lockout. Parts of games, never an entire game.

They’re doing this shoot out thing now after 1 period of overtime. I don’t get that at all, it’s just like watching the skills competition at the All-Star break. If they did the same thing in baseball it would be like the home run derby the day before the All-Star game. 1 pitcher, 1 back catcher & pick 3 or 4 hitters from the other team. No defense at all. If it’s not a home run, it’s a strike. 3 batters in the top & bottom of one inning. Now that would be BORING!!

I miss hockey from the 1980s & the 1990s. Play however many sudden death periods of overtime until someone scores. Sure it takes longer, but that’s more exciting to me. Maybe the game goes until midnight, oh well? If a professional athlete is making $100,000-$12,000,000 a year they should earn their paycheck. Overtime isn’t an everyday occurrence in the NHL. Tie games in baseball don’t happen during the regular season or the playoffs they play until someone wins!

And that’s why I don’t watch much hockey at all. Most of the NHL I watch is because it’s on a TV at a bar or restaurant right in front of my face.

I felt like yesterday should have been Friday, probably because I’ve been doing more exercise.

Yes, we didn’t go walking this. We’re both tired at the end of the day. So we’ve made a schedule to go walking twice a week, & for me to use the recumbent exercise bike for 45 minutes or more once a week. The squats make a huge difference though. I’ve been doing those all week.

Pre-order on this Friday. Album release April 29th.

Halestorm shared it…..

This is the problem with the music industry at the moment. Now you not only have to be talented, which is no longer what music labels look at necessarily, you have to be rich, before you get a shot to be famous. If you don’t have the money, it’s likely going to be a long uphill battle if you want to be a musician.

Pitcher Marcus Stroman on his former team mate David Price.

The Toronto Blue Jays have a new President who hired a new General Manager. They worked together for many seasons in Cleveland for the Cleveland Indians both in the same roles. Yes, Cleveland has been a very mediocre team the last X number of years. If you look at the attendance of Cleveland or their win-loss numbers, both the new President, Mark Shapiro, & GM, Ross Atkins, have terrible resume’s. Mark Shapiro should hold a press conference so the fans get to know him & what he’s going to do with Canada’s baseball team? Right now the majority of Blue Jays fans are throwing him under the bus. Why not wait & see what happens in 2016? If the Jays don’t make the playoffs, then judge him. They had more revenue last season than ever before. Money should not be an issue, the budget is set at the same amount it was last year $145,000,000. If more money is needed, it shouldn’t be a problem. Mark Shapiro is being painted as a villain at the moment, give him a year THEN whine & complain if you want to? If the team doesn’t make the playoffs, don’t buy the merchandise, don’t watch the games, & don’t go to the games. He’ll be on a very short leash. I’m guessing 3 years at most if the owner doesn’t see any improvement. It’s December 23rd at the moment & we’re talking about baseball, that’s a good sign for the city & organization. I feel sorry for Bob McCown every Monday & Friday when he takes calls that are 95% irate Blue Jay fans asking questions he doesn’t have the answers to. Sit back, keep quiet, & wait to see what happens? It’s a transition period for Mark Shapiro & Ross Atkins, at least give them a full season instead of a 2 month off season?

Completely different topic. My father & his co-workers all (8?) an Apple Watch from their employer as their Christmas gift. That’s awesome, that’s great! My dad works at a home theater/technology installer place. He designs whatever is being installed, does the estimate & sends out the installers with all of the info to install the speakers, TV(s), security system, network, USB outlets, etc.

They sell HUGE TVs like 84 inch curved HD TVs, yet every mobile device is getting smaller? There were laptops, tablets/iPads, iPad air, iPhones 1-6, Google glasses, & now a ½ screen on your wrist that you squint at to see & now you say to yourself “Ooooh, I got an email! I’ll have to check it on a larger device”. I’m not discounting the Apple Watch, I’m sure it has it’s pros & cons, but now you have a watch that will let you know you’ve received an email, facebook PM, a tweet, text, instagram, linkedin, etc. but it’s really small, so you’ll have to check it out on a larger screen? Pros & cons for all of these advancements in technology. Maybe it’s because I have one eye, but that watch screen is tiny? Weird?

Halestorm shared it on facebook. I REALLY like this band!

Will this idea save “Columbia House” or kill it?

Surprise! I have another question for whoever is reading this. Does cover artwork really matter in the case of digital music? I like having a tangible product like a CD in my hand, but I’m out of physical space for it. I now get almost all of my music from iTunes. The only time I see the artwork is when I purchase the album & before my screen saver kicks in on my TV after 1 ½ songs? If I’m listening to my iPod, I rarely look at the artwork. Into my pocket or beside me on the bed it goes. How much does the artwork on an album matter to you in this digital era of music? Artwork is likely a reason I became a printing press operator. At the end of a shift I could hold a piece of paper & say “Hey, I helped in the making of this product!”.

I guess all of this Guns n’ Roses reunion talk could likely be true. They can do their thing, pretend it’s 1987 & I’ll be way over here in 2016 when it happens. I was so happy when the home town Roughriders started playing a song from 2013 instead of 1987’s “Welcome to the Jungle” at kickoff!! I’m likely the odd one on this though.

The BIG sports story of 2015. 22 years with no playoff games. Yeah, but baseball sucks. “Oh, there’s a bandwagon, where do I jump on?” I’ve been watching the Blue Jays since 1990, that’s when I jumped on & stayed on. ALL bandwagon jumpers are more than welcome!

I woke up today & thought “OOOOO, it’s Friday!!! NOPE, it’s Tuesday!” I did that weeks ago as well. Very disappointing.

Here it is 8:26 am & 3 people in the USA have viewed my blog 10 times each for a total of 30 views already. It doesn’t tell me who they are, just the country & how many people have viewed the site however many times. Thanks, hold your horses, I don’t post this until the end of the day around 5:00pm.

I don’t really know what Facebook means, but it says this blog had 2800 readers yesterday? It must mean I’ve had 2800 people in total from 2012-now! Thanks!

316 friends on Facebook for me, & I rarely get a PM, usually only if I initiate the conversation same with email. I don’t have the time to talk to each individual despite my effort & me being at home all day. I’m not leaving Facebook but maybe don’t speak publically about a trip or vacation until after the event happens & you are back home? Just a thought? Use the internet however you like. For me it’s more for tagging others or joking around, but that’s just my view. If you’re cool with email, know me personally, & have something to say to me, an email won’t kill you REALLY? I use email & survived stage 4 brain cancer??!!! Did I just blow your mind? Hahahahaha!

EVERYBODY has email, not all people have Facebook or twitter? I’m not on twitter, so I use email to stay in contact with people. I’m basically on Facebook for the information & the 6 or 7 people who have issues with their email. One day I’ll pop up & say “I’m canceling my facebook account”. You could argue the pros & cons of each.

Monday’s Rock It Out Blog. I see a commercial for this game & multiple times I think “Cool a new Batman movie!!!!!!!!!”! Then I see that it’s a video game?

I learned how to jive in high school gym class. It & The Polka were my two favourites. No, I was nowhere near this good, nobody ever left the ground. I could listen to “jive”/”swing”/”upbeat jazz” any day!

So I bought this last week, then yesterday I bought the following . Both from iTunes & I’m done for the month or I’ll go over my allowance, since I have 2 pre-orders left this month “Lamb of God” on Friday & “Finger Eleven” on the 31st . For me these are both catchy.

All while listening to my Friday pre-order.

I can be very cheap at times, but I’m also terrible with money for music! Before I buy something or pre order something on iTunes I always ask Kim. I know my limit, as it gets closer I ask!

Sufjan/Cat Stevens Tour dates. Notice nothing in Canada, as per usual.

I think I know what I should do? Put a basket at the front door. When people come over I’ll have them put their phone, tablet or iPad in the basket when they’re under my roof visiting Kim & I. If it’s not a possible emergency, then why is there a phone here? I don’t have/want one. Do you need one at the moment when you’re here for a visit?

Blog by iTunes Match user & other Apple products.

I don’t have the patience to tell you how many iTunes Match users there are in the world or how many have unsubscribed from this service, but we’re taking our $25-$28/year & leaving, as many people have done. I don’t want big brother/Apple looking over my shoulder knowing what I listen to & judging me on that. The rich get richer & now the poor “……taketh away……”

Why bigger budget’s for movies don’t always make the film better.

Today’s Rock It Out Blog. Me either since the 4th album, “Kid A”. “Pablo Honey”, “The Bends”, & “OK Computer” especially the latter 2 are AWESOME to me. 2 must hear albums, like them or hate them. I think Radiohead lost a lot of fans with the release of “Kid A” but gained different fans also!

Little bit of Todd Bryanton’s work?

Songs I like. “The Mayfield Four” Myles Kennedy’s previous band I saw in ’99 opening for “The Watchmen” & headliner “Big Wreck”. Now the singer for “Alter Bridge” & Slash’s solo albums.

“The Fallout” album is not on iTunes, I had to download it as a torrent before I was sick or pay over $160 on Amazon for 1 CD?

Sorry, I love his voice!

On backing vocals.

Alter Bridge!
