Do you have a question about stage 4 brain cancer?  Ask if you do!

Music throughout the weekend.  “Dead Sara”, “Barenaked Ladies”, “Testament”, & “Matthew Good Band”

Friday ended with us watching “Hannah Gadspy” a Tasmanian comedienne.  It was more of a “Ted Talk” with humour added.  She spoke about what had gotten her to this point in her life, sexual abuse, 2 rapes, being a lesbian, coming out of the closet, etc.  Very entertaining.  She went on a rant at the end.  Kim was crying.  Lots of highs & lows throughout the show.  Really good show!  Quite a few “F – Bombs” throughout the show though.  None in this trailer though…

Saturday we went out in the afternoon Kim needed to take some photos for her photo class, dropped off Brewster & I.  She went for groceries.  I got this post started.  Kim came home with the groceries so I got moving & made my vegetable juice for the week.

Saturday evening we ordered in some Chinese food for supper & rented the movie “Boy Erased” about a son who is gay & his father is a pastor at a Christian Church.  The movie starts out with the son going to his first of 12 days at a conversion center.  I think this movie would be great if you also watch the movies “Red State” & “Spotlight”.  “Red State” could be difficult to watch with all of the language & violence.  “Boy Erased” is based on a true story.  I think every religious leader needs to wake up & see this movie.

I believe in God & consider myself a Christian. You know that part in the bible that says ‘…bring us your rich, poor, weak, & strong etc…’  Do we have to spell it out for others?  Do we need to adjust it to say “Everyone” including the LGBTQ community?  I really don’t care if you’re a part of a different religion, race, or sexuality or anything else.  Are you a good person?  If you are let’s hang out & be friends.

I was fired up watching that movie.  A lot of me commenting on the utter fear/stupidity of all of the homophobic characters.  It’s from 2018 and finishes saying there are still 700,000 conversion camps still in operation.  I don’t believe that sexuality is a choice, I believe it’s how you were born.  I didn’t choose to be straight, that’s how I was born.   Who makes gay people?  Straight people!

Woke up for lunch when Kim popped her head in the bedroom & said she was going to “Tim Horton’s”.  She’s done the laundry I believe, just eggs to hard boil & Kim wants to take some pictures in the house.  She left for “Tim Horton’s” & Brewster found that to be the perfect time to throw up twice once I made my way into the kitchen.  Poor guy, at least he knew to get off of his blanket & bed to throw up on the laminate floor.

Metal screaming is not easy.  You may not like it, but don’t say it’s easy!

I’ll believe it when I see it.  Does this mean Tool will start thinking about song ideas?

Just had to watch “Trivium” accept “Grammy Nominee Awards” of screen.  I’m assuming this is because they are a metal group, so they aren’t main stream music, ugh!

I will get to see them this year here in Regina!  I can’t wait!  When I was working I’d put on my iPod & just go.  One “Dream Theater” album “Systematic Chaos” was just released & “Lynyrd Skynyrd’s” double album of ‘Greatest Hits’ & I was good for 5 – 6 hours.  I’ll see them & my parents are anxious to see Randy Bachman.  I’ve been a ‘Lynyrd Skynyrd’ fan for a while, since 2006 or so.  All I have is their Greatest Hits album though.

The more you share this, the more readers I get.  No, I’m not profiting from this in any way.  I can’t tell who’s reading this but thank you! Word of mouth is the only way of promoting this.

Do you have a question about stage 4 brain cancer?  Ask if you do!

Should I be worried that I take the same black & pink pills for heart burn that “Butt Drugs” carries?  Should I take them anally?

Friday was me watching most of the Toronto Blue Jays game.  Kim thinks she’s catching a cold.  Friday she grabbed some medication & went to bed at 8:30 pm I think it was.

Saturday was more of the same.  Woke up, had breakfast.  Kim put in a load of laundry, then she & Brewster had a nap on the couch.  She woke up about an hour or more before the Blue Jay game came on, & went to bed after a Tim Hortons run for soup.

We finished Saturday watching a documentary on Netflix!

This is our lives in our late 30s.

Kim is still sick today.  Brewster was freaked last night.  He jumped off of the bed many times & whined until Kim helped up each time.  He can’t get on our bed without help, he’s vertically challenged!

I guess the power went out, so the smoke detectors were beeping, which he hates.  They beeped again when the power came back on.

I had a weird dream.  I wasn’t sure if I was supposed to go to work or university.  I was late & couldn’t find my calculus text book?  I rode my motorcycle to work & couldn’t find anybody to let me know what needed to be done?

I have never owned or had a desire to ride a motorcycle & a calculus text book is not needed for running a printing press?

Maybe order groceries & get ready for the week, as usual.  FYI I found more T-Shirts that fit!

My music over the weekend “Dead Sara”, “Foo Fighters”, “Queens of the Stone Age”, “Myles Kennedy”, “Into Eternity”, “Third Ion” & “Megadeth”

Dead Sara

Foo Fighters

Queens of the Stone Age

Myles Kennedy

Into Eternity

Third Ion

Original line up dropped out of ‘The Berkley School of Music’ to form Big Wreck & released their debut album in 1997.  3 Americans & 1 Canadian, voted to be the singer by band members.  They released their 2nd album in 2001 & broke up the following year.  During this time singer, Ian Thornley, started another group called “Thornley”.  Different label also.  2 albums were released by the group.  Big Wreck reformed with different band members on drums & bass, & original 2nd guitarist.  Big Wreck released their 3rd album in 2012.  I was still in my rehabilitation center, but there was no way I was missing their show in Regina that year.

In total ‘Big Wreck’ has 5 studio releases & a live EP with a studio cover of ‘The Cars’.

GHOSTS    2014

GRACE STREET       2017

I consider myself a metal fan, well some metal.  As you might know by now, there are other genres I like.  I am a pretty loyal fan of whatever group I’m listening to in most cases.  If I really like them, I’m always willing to listen to or purchase their entire catalogue when possible.  I’m on a monthly iTunes allowance.  Now I know who’s worth $9.99, which helps quite a bit!

What does this mean for the surviving members of Soundgarden?

Metallica’s Robert Trujillo & Kirk Hammett give “Ah ha” a try.

From what I’ve seen online, people HATE this album with a passion.  Were you expecting “Mer de Noms” part 2?  Different strokes for different folks.  I REALLY like this album!

I don’t mind some “Jimmy Eat World” every once in a while.

New “Alice in Chains” song

I’m so glad I found “Dead Sara”!

Hard rock fans, buy this “Red Dragon” album by Room 333, which is compared to “La Gargola” by Chevelle!

I really like Tool, a LOT! The entire “Undertow” album is an album that for me is easily forgettable

Green Day albums ranked worst to first

Not my order at all. “Dookie” would easily be my no.1 Green Day album. American Idiot wouldn’t even register on my list.

Jimmy Fallon & Jennifer Garner play rock, paper, scissors, pie.

It’s not just me that likes “Halestorm”

ANYBODY THAT’S AGAINST GAY MARRIAGE NEEDS A SWIFT KICK IN THE HEAD!!!!!!!!!!! I’m not gay, if I was, how would it affect you? Oh, right it wouldn’t unless you’re a part of Kim’s immediate family.

Third full length album from “Halestorm”. Release is April 14th . I have it preordered on iTunes. I have 3 songs since I’ve preordered the album here they are.

I’m still listening to Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds album

Into Eternity & Third Ion should be releasing new material this year. Third Ion’s first album & Into Eternity’s 6th I believe (both are Regina based metal bands)

I don’t understand why Foo Fighters & In Flames seem to be catching so much heat for their recent albums? Do fans just want them to remake the first album they ever heard? I wouldn’t that would get boring & predictable FAST! I love that some writer assumed each song on the Foo Fighters album would be completely different since they were recorded in different cities. At the end of the day it will sound like a Foo Fighters album with extras, they did change their sound. I’ve never ever heard a horn section on any Foo Fighters album

In Flames made a mellow metal album & the fans got angry, why? The concert in Saskatoon was more then FANTASTIC. I think it was sold out? The lineup to get in was down the block almost around the corner? I haven’t looked at the number of albums sold this was the first “In Flames” album I bought on iTunes. The rest were either borrowed or purchased on CD.

I know I have 5 or 6 CDs & a pile of borrowed EPs & a few full albums.

I think we won the Netflix lottery? We have a North American Netflix. We don’t have to switch between the 2! I don’t know what happened but we have it. I can watch both American & Canadian Netflix without doing anything!

KISS Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame induction from Paul Stanley’s perspective

The Muse album will be released on iTunes June 9th. I also have that preordered on iTunes & have one song from the album.

Halestorm, Muse, Into Eternity, Third Ion, likely a Tool album, Incubus, etc. Yes Gene Simmons rock is dead you’re right as usual, except 75% of the time.

Dave Lombardo explains why he doesn’t want the Megadeth job & why it didn’t happen in 1986. I really like Megadeth!

Top 100 albums from the ’80s by Loud Wire. I was born in 1980 but never listened to ’80s American rock or metal. I was listening to mostly my parents music which I’ll post below.

^^I can listen to this album from front to back without missing a song.

I’m going to take a moment here to listen to Billy Joel

I don’t remember if my parents ever played “The Police” around Mitch or I? When I heard “Roxanne” for me it was like “Whoa what on earth was that? That’s AWESOME!”

Tremonti album teaser

New My Morning Jacket songs? AWESOME!!

Here’s a much older song from when I saw them opening for Foo Fighters in 2003.

Bad song in my books to rip off Pharrell

Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame inductions of 2015

AWESOME! What to do when a telemarketer calls

I like the majority of this festival line up. Not all of them but most of them!

Possibility of a second “Sonic Highways” based in the UK?

Mash up of your favourite dance scenes from movies

My favourite dance scene starts off with some bad language so WARNING!!!! Then “ABC” by the Jackson 5

Motorhead fans who want to travel. This is for you! I like Motorhead, can’t say I like traveling outside of Canada. I’m 35 years old & have traveled to Boston once for a week in the summer of 2007.

Lollapaloza festival in Chile

Madonna & Justin Bieber on The Ellen Degeneres show

Amon Amarth drummer leaves band after 17 years

It was good to see Lars Ulrich reel the Napster lawsuit in 13 years later. Now Metallica offers free downloading of music.

If we ever go to a Starbucks, I tell Kim I would like a cappalappafrappaariana grande! Which means usually no thanks. I prefer Tim Horton’s dark roast with no cream or sugar.

Why does Pearl Jam look so angry?

Songs I like. “Clutch” I couldn’t ramble off specific titles of songs from “Clutch” but I do like their groove.
