5 day exercise total; 400 pushups, 300 tricep pushups, 300 back flexes, 360 squats, 600 leg lifts, 300 crunches.

I fell asleep to “The Trews” the album “House of Ill Fame”

I exercised to “Dead Sara” the self-titled debut album

This was intended to be earlier.  I got up at 7:30, the power was out from 8:00 to 9:50.  Brewster was freaking out, he has bad anxiety, we have small doses of valium for him, I didn’t want to give it to him.  Instead I spent all of that time with him on my lap, while I had breakfast & got as much ready as I could for my exercise & shower.  Even when the power came back on he was still freaking out.  We had about an hour where he’d freak out at the front closet, or approach it & I would clap my hands to make him stay out of that area, he hates loud noises so that’s what the clapping was for.

I’ve done my exercises, time to shower & have lunch soon.

I’ve decided pushups & triceps will be on Tuesdays & Thursdays, everything else will be Mondays, Wednesdays, & Fridays.

When I meet someone new, I get quiet after telling them I had brain cancer.  That’s always the first thing I tell people when I meet them.

I don’t want cancer to define me, & I’ve got no problem answering any questions they may have.  I’m just not a fan of telling my story over & over.  As much as I don’t want cancer to define me, it will always be a portion of what defines me.  I figure, there is no hiding my wheelchair or iPatch.  Might as well get that part out in the open & forget about it.

Other things that define aren’t visible, other than I wear shorts year round.  “Aren’t you cold?” is something I often hear in the winter.  If I was cold I wouldn’t be wearing shorts & a hoodie with my tuque & gloves.  I’m usually over heated, so shorts it is, who needs pants?  Pants are only for special occasions!

Other than shorts, an iPatch, & a wheelchair, there’s a TON more to me.  I do tend to shy away from large group gatherings because there are 2 things I don’t want to say to people.  “Hey, read my blog” & I don’t want to barf out why I’m in a wheelchair, with an iPatch, & why my speech is hard to understand.

The previous blog should have been titled TECHNOLOGY/BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN.

Well I’ll be glued to Netflix watching the 2nd season of “Making a Murderer”, as long as they don’t push it back to air this time.

And the plot thickens some more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Remember what happened last time Foo Fighters took a break?  Dave got bored, they recorded an album, released it, & started touring after 1 year “off”

Anybody watching “Orange is the new Black” on Netflix?  I gave up after a few episodes of the 3rd season.

How many covers do we need of the song “Shout” I have this original version by “Tears for Fears” on my iPod, but no other ones, don’t need the rest.

OK, I’m biased I REALLY LIKE Big Wreck!

Is the original lineup of Blink 182 reuniting?

“…a voice inside my yyyyyeeeeaaaadddd”

A balmy +28 Celcius inside here Wednesday & a balmy +26 Celcius in here on Thursday.

Two albums released today “Greta Van Fleet” & a 4 song EP from “Nothing but Thieves”

8 studio albums & a few live albums.  I have 5 studio albums.  I only really listen to 2 of them.  My friend Elka turned me on to them.  They’re a progressive rock band.  The singer’s voice is quite high, so I’m sure they won’t be for everyone.  I got the albums only in digital form.  They recently released “The Unheavenly Creatures”.  It’s on my iPod on repeat since it’s release on October 5th to the 14th.  Here’s a few tracks from “The Color Before the Sun” & “The Unheavenly Creatures”……

2015            THE COLOR BEFORE THE SUN

The more you share this, the more readers I get.  No, I’m not profiting from this in any way.  I can’t tell who’s reading this but thank you!

I fell asleep to “Rush” the album “Counterparts”

I exercised to “Stone Temple Pilots” the album “Core”

I ended up spending most of Sunday on the computer again.  If there are any double files, I give up.

I miss my hobbies.  I loved playing & singing in a rock band, something I always wanted to do after I graduated high school.  I was always a singer by default, since I could carry a tune & I didn’t own a guitar until I was 21.  Practicing my guitar now is not fun for me.  My brain knows what to do, but my left (fret board hand) refuses to listen to me.  So after maybe 10 minutes, I get more than frustrated.  Since there’s no baseball on at the moment, I should really hunker down & get 1 of my guitars & really work on it.

As with most things, I never really practiced guitar or singing.  In my head I’d say “Ah, good enough”.  I did get a bit better with each rehearsal or show.  I never really sat down & focused on singing or playing.  I guess there were a couple times I’d check out a song I liked, learn the meat & potatoes of it in 30 minutes & leave it at that.  I learned these songs pretty well though….

The guitar part sounds much more difficult than it sounds.

This along with the entire 2nd album by Foo Fighters & some of their 1st, 3rd, & 4th album.  I guess their 5th album too.  Then they were far too difficult to play & sing at the same time.  I also learned a few other songs on my own…….

I was good enough to fill in for Chris Messer’s band “Left Foot Louie” who played polkas, country, & rock as the older crowd were calling it a night.  When Chis asked me to fill in for Tyler, I had one issue.  “OK but, you have to do the leads & difficult stuff.  I can’t do that stuff.”

I practiced once with Tyler Wanner, Corey McDonald & David Kliman.  I was impressed that Tyler was impressed that I could play “Slither” by Velvet Revolver & sing it also.  How could I not be impressed?  He listened to the solo twice & knew it!  BLEW MY MIND!

Check out this documentary about hired musicians who play whatever is needed on an album or tour with big name musicians like Billy Joel, Alice Cooper, Rob Zombie, etc.  It’s called “Hired Guns” on Netflix.

I am a U2 fan.  I’m still deliberating if I should purchase their new album?  However I’m leaning further to saying yes to the dress/album.  Oh, how Kim loves her TLC.  Yet, I’ve learned nothing.

I never really anticipated a new “System of a Down” album

Lead singer, Josh Homme, of Queens of the Stone Age, kicked & injured a photographer during a recent show.

Will this have any effect on my issue with iTunes at the moment?

Why do the Toronto Blue Jays have to wait for somebody else to make the first move?  The home run leader from last year just got traded to the N.Y. Yankees, & they’re in the same division.  The Yankees just added a 59 home run hitter to their lineup, move!  If nothing happens, say “Goodbye” to most of your ticket buyers, then sell the team that nobody will want.  They have needs not wants.

If the Blue Jays can dump Troy Tulowitzki at short stop & get Machado to join the team at short stop, I’m all in.  I wouldn’t let Josh Donaldson go if possible, he’s a late bloomer, & a good one!
