I fell asleep to “Trivium” the album “Ascendancy”

I exercised to “The Struts” the album “Young & Dangerous”

The Struts are getting a TON of playing time here as well!

Kim had a hair appointment after work on Monday.  Our vehicle wouldn’t start.  My dad took her to her appointment, picked her up after, boosted the vehicle, she took it in to the dealership Tuesday morning.  It’s a 2014 Santa Fe.  I think this is the first time we’ve had any problem with it?

She was going to come home between work & her hair appointment, but no go on that.  I was fine, made myself some soup.  I think that’s the first time I’ve used the stove top without Kim around.  I’ve used the oven many times on my own.

Streaming music stress’ me out WAY TOO MUCH.  I’ll be fine, I know.  Everybody’s using it & it has a place.  I would prefer the option to stream or download music.  Make an album of 10 or more songs $0 – $15 & the price decided by the musicians.

I don’t like that Apple Music & Spotify pay musicians a fraction of $0.01.  That doesn’t seem fair & if any streaming goes bankrupt, kiss your music from that site goodbye.

Where does it fit appropriately?  Do you have kid(s)?  Great, go for it!  A child won’t be listening to “Baby Beluga” forever.

My in-laws live in a small hamlet.  They have Wi-Fi but no internet.  They can stream anything but not download it.  If they want music, a streaming site is their only option.

We don’t have kids, so I use iTunes & Kim uses Apple Music.

We pay $27.99 a year for iTunes Match which means we can stream my downloads on Kim’s cell phone.  If iTunes goes down, I’ll use the old iPhone sitting in a drawer here.  The number won’t be activated, it will be used as an iPod only.  I can’t afford a record player or start a vinyl collection.

My iPod classic works fine for downloaded music.  Unfortunately it won’t work for streaming music.  I got it in late 2011 or early 2012.  Before I was out of the Wascana Rehabilitation Center.

The way I see it, Apple would be doomed either way in deleting either service.  Apple Music users would have to join another streaming site & those that use iTunes are hooped.

I can find multiple links confirming this & one link denying this.  There are bands already not putting their stuff on iTunes, just streaming sites?

Please remember this only my opinion.  You’re always entitled to your own!

“…And Justice for All” why did, drummer Lars Ulrich, approve this terrible mix with no bass?

Let’s play “Where’s Waldo?” but we’ll call it “Where’s the bass?”  Clearly Metallica’s not “All about that bass” at least not on this album.

I must see “Bohemian Rhapsody” soon!!!  I hope she has a cameo!!!  Hahaha!!!!

YAY!!!!!!!!!!!  Triumph the insult comic dog in Texas at the polls!

DEAD SARA   (I can’t stop listening to this group!!!!!!!!!!!)

I know I did a quick review of them, but not a thorough one.  They are based out of L.A., with 4 members.  They formed in 2003.  2 females & 2 males.  I believe the 2 guys are the rhythm section, drums & bass.  The lead singer, Emily Strong, also plays guitar.  Siouxie Medley is the other guitarist.

I was so glad I found out about this band.  When I went to iTunes it said others had also bought Nirvana & The Pretty Reckless.  Then they’d be right up my alley!  It’s hard for me to not listen to them.  They have 2 full length albums, a single which is a cover of Nirvana’s “Heart Shaped Box”, & 2 EPs.

I’m guessing if they started their career during the ‘grunge’ explosion in the 1990s, they’d possibly be VERY popular?

I fell asleep to “Lamb of God” the album “Sturm Und Drang”

My in-laws were in town for the weekend, & I was doing some stuff offline on the computer.  I needed a little break from the computer, didn’t feel long enough though!

Kim’s parents & aunt got here about 3:00 pm or so on Friday coffee for the afternoon & pizza for supper.  The day ended with me staying up way too late, trying to clear the DVR.  We’re behind since I was at a concert on Tuesday & Kim’s taking a photography course once a week from 7:00-10:00 pm.

Saturday Kim & Sherry took their mom to a craft show & then grocery shopping.  That night, Kim cooked ham, hash brown casserole, & carrots.  Dairy Queen for dessert.  Later on was a showing of the movie “Wonder”.

This morning we went to Sherry & James’ for Brunch & a “goodbye” to the 3 headed north.

Nobody sang anything.  This has just been in my head!  They should be home very soon.

We came home Kim’s tending to the laundry, I’ve made my juice & cooked my fish for the week.  Once the dishwasher is done I’ll empty it & Kim will hard boil some eggs for the week.  Pretty tame weekend.  Nice to have Kim’s parents down, we haven’t seen them this year until today.

We still haven’t been to there house since 2007, we’ll likely drive up on a weekend this summer & likely out to the lake a few weekends.

6 studio albums, 2 live albums, & a few singles.  They have said that their plans for 2018 is to release a full album & a few singles.  I really got into them in 2006.  I was at a band rehearsal at Todd Bryanton’s house.  He had “Muse” playing as we set up our gear.  I heard it & asked “Is this some new Radiohead I’ve missed?”  He told me it was Muse’s album “Absolution”, their 3rd studio album.

I believe they’re from England.  The comparison to early Radiohead is valid, just don’t tell any member of the Muse super trio (Shhhhh).  I was hooked instantly.  They’ve sort of lost my attention with 2 of their releases though.  They’re both good albums, but they could be better.  Their last 2 singles are great though. “Dig Down” & “Thought Contagion”.  I hope this leads to a great album in the near future.  Here’s a song from each album followed by the two standalone singles…

Now the 2 singles I own.

An article with Patton Oswalt.  Life, legend, & how a serial killer could be brought to justice.  His wife was murdered.

I’m not much of a fan of “Godsmack”, here’s a review of their new album though.

A Million Miles Away Blog on facebook.

Give the site a moment to load all of the links. It takes a bit for my computer & it crashes on Kim’s cell.

Tuesday night, baseball, peanuts, grapes, water, & beer. Pretty good life! I don’t really touch alcohol during the week, but sometimes you just have to have a beer while watching a sporting event from the comfort of your couch.

Tuesday was my back to reality day exercise & trying to eat healthy. 420 crunches & 30 minutes of yoga. Today, 420 crunches & 40 push ups. Thursday, who knows?

Off the top of your head, how many songs can you think of that weren’t singles that made music acts huge or had to play them live at every concert? I thought of 3 B-Sides & 1 album track instantly.

I’m sure there are more but these are the 4 I thought of instantly. I didn’t cheat & use google, this is just what I thought of. Weird that the first 3 were B-Sides to singles, that means radio D. J.s either turned the vinyl over or skipped through the 3 or 4 song CD to grab a B-Side.

Barenaked Ladies just played their song at every show, got hit by a pile of Kraft Dinner & eventually told fans to bring Kraft Dinner to the concert to donate to the Food Bank.

2 of my many favourite songs by Foo Fighters are a B-side & an album track!

This “Iron Maiden” tune sounds good. I haven’t preordered it yet. iTunes release September 4th.

No albums on preorder at the moment other than Trivium & Clutch release on October 2nd for both albums.

Ryan Adams finishes cover album of Taylor Swift’s 1989

This song seems to be EVERYWHERE since Tom Cruise did the lip sync battle on Jimmy Fallon?

House for sale!!! I can no longer watch anything with Anthony Hopkins after seeing “Silence of the Lambs” & the sequels!!! Freaked me out!

Dave Grohl says he has some “social anxiety” at the Emmy Awards. LANGUAGE!!!

I don’t own this since it’s a single. Both voices are AMAZING though!

Really? Bill Hader & Fred Armisen (SNL) form fake band but are releasing a 5 song EP

I guess Ian Thornley (Big Wreck) is recording/releasing a solo album? I missed that one? My bad.

Songs I like, “The Nylons” I began singing the lower/bass part along with this album when my parents moved into their house. My voice is very different now, there is no way I could sing that low now.
