Do you have a question about stage 4 brain cancer?  Ask if you do!

I fell asleep to “Terrifier” the album “Weapons of Thrash Destruction”

I tallied up my exercise totals so far for this year & here it is; 4800 crunches, 5470 leg lifts, 7230 pushups, 2145 tricep pushups, 1860 back flexes, & 2390 squats.  Still a bit disappointing to me.

Kim & I went to a boxing event/fundraiser at “The Conexus Arts Center”.  The local “Lonsdale Boxing Club” where Kim used to go, with other boxers from Saskatchewan against an Irish boxing club.

I can’t watch boxing on TV but live I find it very entertaining!  I don’t know that much thought went into this though?  “Let’s invite an Irish boxing club & their fans here on March 16th, fill the Irish fans with alcohol as they get primed for St. Patrick’s Day.”  Hahahahaha!

At least we weren’t paying for the banter or music.  “Regina’s Rock Station 104.9 The Wolf” hosted the show, & now I know why I stopped listening to that radio station oh so long ago!  Michael Ball aka Ballsy from the morning show was the M.C.  Most rock fans say “Less talk, more rock”, not for me Friday evening.  “Less talk, less generic rock, more box!”  Way too much filler, not enough killer!  At first I thought Kim took me to a Nickelback show?  Pyro, lights, & Nickelback booming over the P.A. system.  I started to think “What did I do that made her mad at me?”  Nothing, 2 Nickelback songs followed by some of my preferred music.  Led Zeppelin, Lynyrd Skynyrd, & Big Sugar.  Fun night though.  I quite enjoy live boxing.  11 fights, 3 rounds of 1-2 minutes in length in total.

Sorry if you like Nickelback, I don’t hate them, I choose not to listen to them.  If you’re a fan, that’s great that you’ve found a modern rock band that you enjoy.

Saturday/St. Patrick’s day we stayed in & watched a couple of movies.  “I, Tonya” & “Justice League”.  We rented “I, Tonya” which was really good but I don’t need to see it again.  We bought “Justice League” on Tuesday, it was AWESOME!  Everyone says it’s so bad, I absolutely disagree!  I must be off my rocker, because I really enjoyed “Batman vs. Superman”, “Suicide Squad”, & “Justice League”!  “Wonder Woman” was just OK for me.  My only issue with “Wonder Woman” was that it was a period piece.  From what I know Wonder Woman did not intervene in any war?  But what do I know.  All of these other movies are works of science fiction, check your brain at the door, enjoy your popcorn, & be entertained for a few hours.  I don’t know what everybody’s looking for in a comic book/action movie, because I thought “Justice League” was among the best comic book movies made!  Superman’s moustache was un-noticeable to me.

Today, we went for brunch with my brother & hopefully future sister-in-law.  No pressure bro!  Now it’s time to hard boil some eggs, cook some fish, do some more laundry, watch a spring training game, etc. & get ready for the week ahead.

BIG WRECK

I was finally 19, legal bar age, & was able to see this band that an older co-worker was raving about.  WOW, he was right!  This band was AMAZING!  The original 4 members dropped out of “The Berkley School of Music” to create Big Wreck.  1 Canadian & 3 Americans.  Ian Thornley, the vocalist by vote of the band, was the only Canadian in the group, yet they toured Canada 3 or 4 times a year.  I always went, I couldn’t get enough of them.  If they were in Regina, I was there!  They released their 2nd album in 2001 & broke up in 2002.  2002 was the last time I saw them.  However I saw them a minimum of 10 times during those 4 years.  They disbanded & Ian Thornley started a new band called “Thornley” for me they were OK.  They released 2 albums in 10 years.  I read many newspaper articles that Ian Thornley was interviewed for & stated his unhappiness while doing “Thornley”.  2012 Big Wreck reassembled with a different line up.  3 guitarists, bass player, & a drummer.  Only Ian Thornley & guitarist Brian Johnson were in the original line up.  Not that it matters but Brian Johnson was now the only American in the group.  The 3rd guitarist left since he wanted to spend more time with his family.  Since 2012, Big Wreck has released 3 full length studio albums & a live EP with a cover of “The Cars” “Good Times Roll”.  Here come the Big Wreck songs & the last 2 are from the 2 “Thornley” albums………………….

Here’s one song from each “Thornley” album.  He makes it very clear that this was a band, not a solo project.

This is well done but don’t mess with classics, like an Elton John song.

I fell asleep to “Stone Temple Pilots” the album “Stone Temple Pilots (2018)”, followed by “Myles Kennedy” his solo album “Year of the Tiger”

Friday is release day, so I get my albums at midnight eastern time, one bonus to daylight savings time!

I exercised to “Pink” the album “Beautiful Trauma”

LANGUAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Exercise weekly total; 1000 pushups, 700 leg lifts, 500 crunches, 300 tricep pushups, 300 squats, 200 back flexes.

I don’t think of myself as disabled.  Waking up in the middle of the night to pee has become a normal thing since I drink so much water every day. I wake up, I immediately get moving, I get in my wheelchair, roll to our en suite bathroom, get out of my wheelchair & sit down to pee.  No big deal.

I like to get up by 8:00 am at the latest & get my exercises done first thing in the morning.  For me I prefer quality over quantity.  Everything is pretty good for me right now.  I’ll be doing this total next week.  The week after, who knows?

Out of all of the exercises I do, back flexes & leg lifts are by far the most difficult.  Leg lift amount I don’t see moving anytime soon.  Things don’t increase to an astronomical amount ever.  If I think I should raise anything I usually add 5 to each set I do of that exercise.  If it’s still difficult, the number won’t move.  I can see both types of pushups going up slightly.  Hopefully the squats eventually also.

If I don’t do some type of exercise during a week day, it feels like a wasted day to me.  If I hit my goal for the total at the end of the week, I’m happy with that.  I know that eventually, I can do more!

I had 2 shares of the Wednesday post, HUGE difference!  Any help is greatly appreciated!  Spread the word please?

Yes, this is pre-written & now I have some stuff to do around the house.  I’ll be back but it might be a while?

RADIOHEAD

Radiohead made 1 OK album followed by 2 masterpiece albums, then noise from then on beginning with the album “Kid A” & have since continued to make very bleak albums with 0 sense of a time signature or melody.  The singer (Thom Yorke) has a fantastic voice but prefers to warble into the microphone now.  Each album is pretty much a guitar player strumming one string & playing with his effect pedals.  During the first 3 albums, they were on my bucket list to see live, but not anymore.  Foo Fighters were on tour with Radiohead & got to watch Radiohead create their masterpiece “OK Computer” the album Rolling Stone Magazine claimed to be the best album ever recorded.  It’s a great album, but that seems like an overstatement to me?  I’ve heard that Radiohead were never fans of their song “Creep”, the distorted guitar that comes in just before the chorus was the guitar player striking his guitar in rage, not sure if that’s true though?  Anyways here are 2 songs from the first 3 albums & one from a future album…………………….

Myself & my friend continued to load up my “Radiohead” CD collection, why I don’t know?

I haven’t watched the “Justice League” yet, I got it on blu-ray to watch it this weekend.  What I find odd is that this ruined the movie for them?  I guess people just really enjoy complaining.

Spring training for baseball is drawing to a close.  Regular season games start Thursday, March 29.  What would really impress me is if the Toronto Blue Jays could move Troy Tulowitzki & his remaining $60,000,000 contract ($20,000,000 a year)!!!  He’s great defensively but his offense is nowhere close to what it used to be.  There seems to be a back load of AAA players ready to take over his spot (short stop).  They’re cheaper, younger, good infielders, faster, & they can hit.  Tulowitzki won’t even play until the end of April.  Big contracts are hard to move, I get that.  What might be more realistic is give him $30,000,000 – $35,000,000 next year, buy out his contract & cut him loose.  He hasn’t touched a baseball field in a game since May or June of last year.  So the Jays are paying him $20,000,000 to be a “cheerleader”?

I fell asleep to “Queens of the Stone Age” their 2002 release “Songs for the Deaf” followed by “Trivium” the album “The Sin & the Sentence”

I exercised to “Bush” the album “Sixteen Stone” way back when they had to call themselves “Bush X” in Canada.  There was a Canadian called Bush, never heard them, my CD says “Bush X” released in 1994

500 crunches, 590 leg lifts, 700 pushups, 245 tricep pushups, 200 back flexes, & 240 squats.  That’s my week of exercising.

I figured out today how to do my exercises & not be completely exhausted after.  50 squats, 50 tricep pushups, 40 back flexes, 100 pushups, 100 crunches, 50 more pushups, & 130 leg lifts.

Thursday I was lacking energy & knew I wouldn’t make my totals after doing my squats.  I did everything just dialed the numbers back a bit.

In reference to Brewster’s teeth, he’ll be fine & it won’t cost nearly as much as I had anticipated.  That’s our kid, our little boy.  Might not make sense to some of you but you’d do the same for your human child I assume.  If there is something Kim or Brewster needs, consider it done, especially after what they’ve done for me!  When Kim looked at his teeth, I didn’t think twice “How soon can it happen?” Was the first thing I said & “What’s it going to cost?”

All of this exercising is almost too much for me.  I’m not stopping though.  The sets/numbers have gone up, which has made it more difficult.  I can do all of them, by the end I’m tired & seriously out of breath.  I roll over on my side or have some water as I try to catch my breath for a few minutes.  After that I roll up my exercise mat & carry on with whatever I can do around the house.  My exercise time is a minimum of 2 hours.  In the evenings, 3 days a week, I do some cardio.  Walking with my walker or riding a recumbent exercise bike.

The cardio I’ll tally it up at the end of the year or possibly in June & then the end of the year.

This looks like the year for Marvel to rake in a few billion dollars!

When you see me mention Deadpool, just always assume there will be language involved.

Deadpool 2 is locked & loaded for release on May 18th!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LANGUAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Black Panther is set for release on February 16th!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Avengers: Infinity War also hits theaters this summer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Venom hits theaters in October.

Ant man & The Wasp will be in theaters in July

Aquaman comes to theaters December 21st!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Han Solo comes to theaters this summer.

Other than “Aquaman” & “Han Solo” looks like Marvel wants to get crazy rich this year.  I still have yet to see “Thor Ragnarok” & “The Justice League”.  Looks like I’ll be busy this year, baseball starting shortly, the CFL, these movies, working out, & some TV thrown into the mix.

Paramore, Nothing but Thieves, Fall Out Boy, Pink, & Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds all seem to be getting a LOT of air time from me.

I’m sorry, I can’t stop laughing at this.

Friday ended with us watching our recorded shows on our DVR.  Saturday I slept in while Kim started cleaning since Brewster & I were still sleeping.  When Kim cleans, it’s always best to stay out of the way.  On top of that she went grocery shopping!  Then we cleared off the DVR & watched the Demi Lovato documentary on www.youtube.com REALLY good, I recommend it, it’s called “Simply Complicated” phenomenal voice too!

Full movie here – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZWTlL_w8cRA  or below.

Sunday I went to my parents’ place to watch the Saskatchewan Roughriders play the Ottawa Redblacks.  Roughriders crossed over to the eastern division & we won!!!!!!!!!!  Next week we play the Toronto Argonauts.  We also watched the Edmonton Eskimos beat the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in the western division.  They play the Calgary Stampeders next week.  I cheer for 3 teams the Riders, anyone against Calgary, & anyone playing against B.C.  Yes, that’s how I’m gonna be.

Today is more getting ready for the week, & Kim will go to the gym.

I fell asleep to “Our Lady Peace” the album “Happiness is not a Fish that you can Catch”, “The Tragically Hip” the album “Trouble at the Hen House”, “Led Zeppelin” the album “Physical Graffiti”, & finally “Dream Theater” the album “Black Clouds & Silver Linings”

I exercised in silence today.  I’ve been having issues with my iTunes library, but may have it fixed today, I hope.  The guy I’ve been dealing with in the Apple customer service is FANTASTIC!  I’ve never been this impressed by any customer service person!  I’ve been working with him & the engineers at Apple for about a month.  He’ll call me out of the blue just to let me know he’s still working on my case.

500 pushups, 500 crunches, 500 leg lifts, 200 back flexes, 100 triceps pushups.  I achieved all of my exercise goals this week.  That always puts a smile on my face!

I could use a smile this week.  I’m getting stronger physically, which means I’m able to help out around the house more.  Kim is working herself way too hard, work & exercise for her boxing charity.  I try to get as much as possible done before she gets home, dishes, dishwasher, cooking, cleaning, etc.  Trying to do regular stuff at top speed gets me extremely stressed out!  By 3:00 pm I’m very hot/sweaty & tired.  I can’t tell you why or what I’m stressing out about, but I am.  Mostly it feels like there isn’t enough time in the day.

The reason I’m in a wheelchair is because I cannot walk without something to hold on to.  My legs work, I can get into our walk in shower after I carry my shower seat in there, I can walk with a chest high walker, I can reach the top shelf of our pantry by using the door frame to stand up, etc.  Our place has grab bars in each bathroom, & I have transfer polls I use to sit on the couch & to get into bed.

I don’t know if it’s because I’m getting older or just because I’m doing more stuff now that I’m able to?

November 11th is Remembrance Day in Canada.  A day when we take a moment to honour, thank, & remember previous veterans & current soldiers keeping us safe.  I think this year is what us forgotten Canadians really need!

THANK YOU TO ALL WHO CONTINUE TO KEEP US SAFE & THANK YOU TO THE VETERANS & THOSE WHO HAVE LOST THEIR LIVES KEEPING US SAFE!

THAT’S ALL FOR THE CANCER TALK FOR NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This type of thing should happen at every public event!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I can’t tell you how onboard I am with this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Right at the door someone should send anyone with a cell phone back to their vehicle.  It happened to me years ago, & made total sense!  I had it turned off anyways.  You have to turn it off in a movie theater, why not a concert.  Have some self-control.  Take a picture & a video of your favourite song, then put your phone away.  If you can’t do that, leave it in your vehicle or at home.

No, I don’t listen to Marilyn Manson, but he makes a valid point here.

Paramore is actually selling cassettes online, odd.

When the Toronto Blue Jays start spring training I have a wish list for the team.  3 new everyday outfielders, new everyday short stop, and possible new 2nd baseman.  1st base, 3rd base, & DH can & should remain the same.  Biagini, Osuna, Tepera, & Ramirez all in the bullpen with others.  Estrada, Stroman, Sanchez, & Happ as starting pitchers.  If all of this is possible that would be great!  Any of the new players should have speed, bat left handed, & have a good batting average & on base percentage.  Mr. Atkins & Mr. Shapiro, please don’t put the fans through another 2017?

When Corey McDonald started SIAST shortly after me.  He showed me the path to what is now my favourite “Soundgarden” album “Badmotorfinger”.  I pulled out the “Superunknown” album, & Corey asked if I had heard “Badmotorfinger”, I hadn’t, so he lent it to me the next day.  Since then that album it’s my go to “Soundgarden” album.

After hearing that album once, I was hooked & bought it ASAP.  Corey then opened my eyes to “Pantera” & I got hooked on “Into Eternity” the album “Buried in Oblivion”

This was in the early 2000s.  I started SIAST in September of 2001, my 2nd week was when 9/11 happened.

I’m not crazy, someone else just praised “Batman vs. Superman”!  Others have seen “Justice League” & found it to be the best movie in the DC universe!

I have “Thor Ragnarok”, “Justice League”, & “Star Wars VIII” to see.  I see good times ahead!

Nooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!  This is MY dark side of Rush.  Foo Fighters & audience fan.  LANGUAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I fell asleep to “Big Wreck” the album “In Loving Memory Of…”

I exercised to “Foo Fighters” the album “Concrete & Gold”

It doesn’t bother me if you watch Reality TV.  I get sucked into it at times when Kim watches.  However it’s not reality, it’s “reality”.  They’re mostly talent contests & game shows.  They all have rules & restrictions to them.  Real life has no rules or restrictions other than breaking the law.  A writer or creator has a blank page & can take the TV show, movie, or musical anywhere.  “Parenthood” was probably the best example of this & much more realistic than any “Reality TV” show.

“Survivor” first aid is right there if you need them, “The Amazing Race” it’s a race, “America’s Got Talent” talent contest, “American Idol” singing/talent contest, “The X Factor” singing/talent contest, “The Bachelor”/”The Bachelorette” a contest to date & possibly meet your future spouse…etc.  At the end of these shows the winner gets a prize.  So where’s the real part of these “Reality TV” shows?  When did life become a completion?  At the end of real life you die.  You don’t necessarily win something, or did I miss the memo.  If you watch them or not, that’s cool with me.  I get sucked into a few that Kim watches, & then I become invested in the show.

My grandmother died of breast cancer on December 5th 1999.  Everyone in the family came to my parents’ house.  I was 19, Mitch was 12.  I went to my room & listened to I Mother Earth’s 3rd album “Blue, Green, Orange” turned up to 11 through headphones!

I was in university at the time when final exams rolled around, I was not in a good place mentally.  I’d drive my car to Moose Jaw, 45 minutes away, & back blasting Foo Fighters 3rd album “There is Nothing Left to Lose” both ways.  That’s the year Foo Fighters & Big Wreck became my favourite bands.  I turned 19 “Bar age” in January of 1999, and was able to see Big Wreck live.  Big Wreck would play Regina 3 – 4 times a year, I always went to see them.

From then on I was really expanding my musical preferences.  Any 80s hair metal band has been & likely will be a big NO from me.  They all seem to have that same 80s sound.  Don’t get me wrong they are really good musicians, just not something I’d listen too much, if at all.

Finger Eleven, I Mother Earth, Big Wreck, Foo Fighters & the grunge explosion stuff became my preferred listening bands.  Moral of this story do not go in a mosh pit, break your nose & lie to the First Aid guy at a festival so you can catch the end of the Big Wreck song you broke your nose to & be covered in blood half way through the day.

Finger Eleven & I Mother Earth were Mitch’s bands, & I Mother Earth, Big Wreck, & Foo Fighters were my bands.  We both like Finger Eleven, I Mother Earth, & Foo Fighters.  The difference is Mitch adores his 2 favourites more than me.  I’m all about Foo Fighters & Big Wreck.

2 movies I’m anxious to see in theaters this month.

EVERYBODY will likely encounter some type of roadblock in their life, there’s no need to hide it.  It is hard to talk about & deal with eventually, just do your best to get over it & put it out there!  I was the same way, I didn’t want people I didn’t know to see me in a wheelchair with an iPatch.  I can’t be in the house & not have new friends for the rest of my life.  I had to get over that.  Since about the middle of 2014 I just let that go, one less thing for me to stress about.  If people want to look, that’s fine by me & questions are more than welcome, even encouraged.

No matter what it is, you can’t worry about it for however long you have a mental, physical, or internal issue.  Let it go so you don’t have to carry that weight with you forever, it will get heavier with each second & once you’ve figured out how to deal with it, you no longer have to worry what other people think.  Most people probably don’t notice it in the first place!

I’m pretty sure I have a bit of OCD in me.  We have 2 bathrooms, both must have 3 extra rolls of toilet paper.  I always stack them on the back of the toilet, in a pyramid.  2 on the bottom, 1 on top, & whatever is currently in use.  I also don’t like a pile of dirty dishes in the sink.  I put what I can in the dishwasher, & %50 of the time I’ll do the hand wash dishes.  I also like to finish a task before I go to bed.  If I don’t I’ll be awake for too long thinking about it.

THAT’S ALL FOR WHAT’S ON MY MIND & CANCER TALK!  HERE COMES THE POPCULTURE STUFF!

ED SHEERAN

Ed Sheeran is quite popular so I shouldn’t need to give you much, if any, background on him.  Kim & I saw him in Regina, on tour just before his 2nd of 3 albums was released.  Cool to see him live, but the sound here at the arena sucks.  Whenever he turned on his digital pedal with pre-recorded stuff to make it sound like a full band, everything became slightly distorted.  Not how you want to experience Ed Sheeran, a guy playing acoustic guitar!  This is the show that broke me.  Ended up watching 50% of the show through someone’s cell phone & what was released a few months later?  A concert video of his show at Wembley Stadium!  So glad I paid to watch the concert on a 4 inch screen.

I’m a big fan on his stuff.  Big Wreck & Foo Fighters have been my 2 favourite bands for a long time though!  Nothing has changed that.  Big Wreck & Foo Fighters both released an album this year.  Ed Sheeran hasn’t received my attention as much as he deserves it.  He “fell through the cracks”.

You shouldn’t need much background, but here are two songs from each of his first 2 albums.

I fell asleep to “Stone Sour” the album “Hydrograd”

I exercised to “Ben Harper” 8 albums on shuffle

YAY……………………NOT!  Tuesday was back to reality & the normal everyday grind.

I thought briefly about starting a record/vinyl collection & quickly realized that would be a terrible idea for me.  The cost alone is something we can’t afford.  Then I’d have to find a place to keep the albums.  All of that hassle for us, just to buy vinyl albums, iTunes is fine with me.  Especially now that I’ve figured out what bands/artists I’ll pre-order & who I’ll wait to check out on Apple Music.  I don’t agree with free music (for myself) you get it however you like.  I don’t like the fact that musicians spend so much on studio time only to receive pennies on a streaming site?  I don’t get how someone woke up one day & decided musicians should work for free?  Great for the consumer, terrible for the musicians.

If you’ve made your millions as a musician this shouldn’t matter as much as it does for a new musician trying to rise to fame.  Either way, it just seems wrong to me?

My last 2 weeks (maybe more) of physiotherapy, before my final test, were outside in the park.  Learning to sit on a blanket.  It was in July, my back was soaking wet with sweat because it took a lot of energy.  Get out of my wheelchair & get back into it.  To make matters worse, that’s when a bird missed the target on my head & pooped on my shoulder.

My final “test”/physiotherapy session was out of my chair onto the floor.  Crawl over 1 obstacle, 10 pushups on my knees.  Crawl over a 2nd obstacle, 10 crunches, crawl over a 3rd obstacle, return to my wheelchair repeating the exercise on the way back.

And finally on Friday October 20th

I’m sure there will be more that will pop up out of nowhere between September 15th & October 20th.  This would break us if I bought each of these on vinyl.  Halestorm was rumored to be releasing an album this year…who knows?

Might as well start your complaining now.  I’ll see it & likely buy it when it’s released on Blu-ray.

The Ellen Degeneres Show began on Tuesday & hit a nerve for me, an important one.  The terrible event in Charlottesville.

To the Nazis, KKK, & racist group.  You are “religious” not truly religious.  I don’t know what book you’re reading, it’s probably the same book that international terrorists are reading & misinterpreting.

Well that was a bust!  The sedative did nothing for me at my MRI appointment. I think it was a placebo?  Either way I didn’t really need it.  This MRI machine was much bigger than the one at the hospital, & they were looking at my lower back, not my brain & entire spine.  We saw the MRI, I have a bulging disc, and I’ve had it since high school.  I’m guessing I have some options.  A) More physiotherapy B) More messages & chiropractor visits C) Surgery

Kim just assumes it will be surgery & then got really worried about me aka she started crying.  I held her & told her not to worry about me, I don’t like seeing her so worried, and we don’t even know what the doctors will say.  The only thing we’re pretty sure about is no cortisone shot.  They can do more damage to the bone structure than good.  Kim, don’t worry whatever the doctors decide, we’ll cross that bridge when we get there.

That was our Friday night!  No more wild parties here, we’s old!

Saturday was very lazy.  We did nothing, didn’t even breakup with Janis!  We watched the Blue Jays lose……..again.  We also rented “Christmas Office Party” hilarious R rated comedy!

Today, I’ll be watching the Toronto Blue Jays hopefully win their 2nd game so their record looks a bit better instead of the current 1W-4L.  We can all just pretend there is no problem in LF & 1B, we’ll pretend they’ll make it to the playoffs in Sept-Oct??????

If you’re here strictly for the cancer news, that’s all I have for you.  Slow/Quiet week.  Stretching everyday & many routine appointments to come by the end of July.

Instead of Stone Sour giving us photos from the studio from months ago with the album title.  How about a release date for the album Hydrograd?

Mr. Todd Bryanton.  Did I mention he’s a really good guy too!

Movies I would like to see this year.

Don’t feel as though you need to open every link.

Yep, I had my 2nd physiotherapy session in 3 weeks last night.  He basically gave me a few more stretches to add to the ones he gave me the first time.  Nothing too strenuous.  I was actually doing more of some of the older ones, & totally forgot about 2 older ones.  I moved the papers he gave me so I’d remember them!  They helped quite a bit this morning.  My sciatic nerve pain is slowly going away!

When I go to almost any treatment, even in the hospital, I try/tried to keep things up beat.  Kim takes the brunt of it.  Needles don’t bother me one bit.  When I have a blood test before a cat-scan & whoever is taking my blood, pulls out the needle, I ask Kim “Would you just hold me please?”  Doesn’t work at all, but the 3 of us are always laughing.

When I was in the Wascana Rehabilitation Center, I think there was a small opening on my chest by my collarbone?  There was a black goo coming out of it.  Kim got one of my nurses to check it out.  It was dead/rotten blood.  It didn’t hurt, I just thought it was cool.  When I said that, only I laughed.  I love it when a joke bombs & there’s an awkward silence!  Do I laugh, encourage him, is he done?

Life changed instantly for myself & a TON of other people.  What did Kim & I do?  With a lot of support we just addressed what we needed to!  It took me longer obviously.  I don’t necessarily like where I’m at personally.  At least I’m alive to work on things!

I fell asleep to “Taylor Swift” the album “1989”, woke up early listened to “Sum 41” the album

“13 Voices”, then “Queens of the Stone Age” the album “….like clockwork”

I exercised to “Iommi” the album you can’t find anywhere which I bought the day it was released.  Each song has a different singer on it.  Phil Anselmo (Pantera), Ozzy, Billy Corgan (The Smashing Pumpkins), Serj Tankian (System of a Down), Dave Grohl (Nirvana/Foo Fighters), Henry Rollins (Black Flag), etc.

I get it.  Superhero movies & TV series are everywhere.  You’ve got “The Avengers” & all of the spinoff movies.  Now we have “The Justice League” along with other spinoffs.  “The X-men” movies, “Star Trek” movies, the revitalized “Star Wars” franchise with new spinoffs.  As for TV we got “Supergirl”, “The Flash”, “Gotham” & “Arrow”.  I like the majority of them, I totally see the reasoning of others who don’t like them.  It’s a lot of stuff people aren’t into, so your hands are tied if you want to watch a movie.  Whatever other movie you choose to see had better be mind-blowingly AWESOME!  Since you probably don’t have a variety of movies to choose from?

Kim’s not really a fan either.  She doesn’t mind the “Marvel”/”Avenger” movies though.  I’m all in for the “Marvel”, “Justice League”, & “Star Wars” movies.  Along with “Supergirl”, “Gotham”, & “The Flash” TV series.  I’m good but I know others that are not on the wagon for this stuff.

Am I a Star Wars fan?  BIGTIME!  Ever since I watched the original trilogy as a kid with my dad.  I’m not a huge Star Wars buff, but I know enough to watch any Star Wars movie & know which one it is.  I just like these movies & TV shows.  “Arrow”, “The X-men”, & “Star Trek” I’m not into though.
