I got up to pee at 6:00 am.  That’s when we get up anyways so I started my exercises by about 6:05 am.  When Kim left for work, I had finished my squats, ½ of my leg lifts, & had done 870 crunches.  I finished my exercises by 8:30 am.  I was “exhausted”.  I sat on the couch where I had my coffee, juice, hardboiled egg, a Mandarin orange, & another full bottle of water.  Stayed there to watch 2 one hour late night talk shows.  Then I showered & now I’m here.  Yesterday Kim had to wake me up 3 times before I would get up.

Disclaimer you do whatever you want to with the internet, except cell phones at a live show, TURN THEM OFF please!  It’s annoying to others and will sound like garbage when you watch/listen to it on your 4 inch screen on your cell phone at home or on your tablet, iPad, or computer.  Wait a few months for a concert DVD or Blu-ray release.

Why do I choose to attain my music, DVDs, & Blue-rays via a purchase?  Here are a few reasons.

I pay for my music so that Apple can’t take it away if Apple Music shuts down.  I can’t replenish my music library all at once by spending $900 at once on digital music.  We pay for Netflix like everyone else does.  We were paying an extra $4 a month to a website so we could use both Canadian & American Netflix.  Before that site was shut down 3 TV series I was partially through disappeared.  I was watching “Criminal Minds”, “The Wonder Years”, & “Quantum Leap”.  All 3 vanished from Netflix weeks before the website disappeared.  If it’s a TV series I really like & don’t have access to I buy the DVDs.  “Criminal Minds” is one of my favourite shows on TV, I already had the available seasons, 1-9 I think it was, on DVD.  Good thing I had the DVDs or I probably wouldn’t have access to older shows.  We don’t have HBO because it’s an extra $20 a month for 3 channels so I bought “Sonic Highway” the Foo Fighters’ miniseries from iTunes.  It’s mine.  I paid for it legally & yes I’ve watched it multiple times.  Streaming sites for actual shows will likely be common practice in 15 years if not sooner.  Sporting events, news, & maybe talk shows won’t be on streaming sites.  Cable & DVDs might be more money, but no one can legally take them away from me.  I haven’t seen the FX series of “Fargo” our cable company does not have that channel as an option.  I’d like to see it, but it’s on another streaming site.  Those multiple streaming sites will add up to paying for cable or “satellite”.  Our streaming sites don’t include Hulu either, so I have no idea what’s on there other than “The Path” starring Aaron Paul from “Breaking Bad”.  I’m in no dire need to see it.  If it shows up on Netflix or our digital cable sure I’ll watch it.

I’ve watched the older shows when I was younger, they were available on cable in Canada, but not now?  I don’t NEED to see them again but I’d like to have the option to see them?

Once I’ve purchased an item, it’s mine for as long as I want it.  Nobody can legally take it away from me & it will always be right where I left it.  Does anyone still have Napster files that were downloaded when it first came out in 1999?  I don’t?

Radiohead’s 4th album ‘Kid A’ turns 15 today, which means 15 years ago tomorrow I stopped listening to any future Radiohead release, other than ‘In Rainbows’ which I wouldn’t recommend to anyone, you’ll hate it or think it’s OK. If you’re hard core Radiohead fan you’ll love it.

I think “Asia” should cover “Toto’s” Africa, just to confuse people?

“Uh………Rush doesn’t have time to play at Wembley Stadium” someone said this to me before I became a fan of Rush. REALLY in 40 years they haven’t had time to play one show to 85,000 people at Wembley? Foo Fighters will have played Wembley 4 times by the end of this tour cycle in 20 years. Foo Fighters 1st album 1995, Rush’s first album 1974. 21 years difference but Rush is so busy……………? And when did art/music become a competition? Sure Rush is quite likely more talented in a technical sense than Foo Fighters. I don’t care.

Album review of ‘Tremonti’s’ “Cauterize”

Isn’t every song on every album supposed to sound different than the previous song? You can’t make one song with the same guitar riff, beat, bass line, chord progression, keyboard part, horn part, etc. That would be a very boring album for me anyways.

I have some problems listening to an album that has little to no dynamics. Every album can’t just coast by at 10 on every song. I usually want to hear something that is unexpected for the album. Sure I like metal & yes it’s usually the same dynamic throughout the album. There are many different genres that stay at a certain comfort level & that’s fine. Personally after x amount of time, I get bored with it & need something different. Something that makes me feel human. Something that will shake me & make me feel all of my emotions. That’s what music does for me!

Power’s in a brown out. No internet, TV, Phone, Fridge, Freezer, lights work if it’s dim in the kitchen, etc. just weird? I can do stuff on my computer but not connect to the internet? It’s 1:11 the brown out began a few minutes after 12. When all is working I’ll “…..carry on…..”. 2:00 I’m back!

Everybody has iTunes. It comes installed on most computers or the software can be downloaded. So many artists seem to be switching to Amazon? Great, good for them! I’ve got an iTunes account, not an Amazon account, so when your album hits the iTunes store I’ll buy it hassle free. If I order a physical copy/CD it will be from Amazon, I’ll put it on iTunes and forget about the case it came in completely.

There’s one studio song from each album including “Wheels” from The Greatest Hits album, as well as “Best of You” & “Virginia Moon” from the double album
