Do you have a question about stage 4 brain cancer?  Ask if you do!

5 day exercise total; 800 leg lifts, 750 crunches, 550 squats, 400 back flexes, 100 pushups, 800 curls (10 pounds on left arm & 7 pounds on right arm), 300 tricep lifts w/5 pound weight, 300 shoulder raises w/5 pound weight,  stretching, & yoga.

I fell asleep to “Pink” the album “Hurts 2B Human” followed by “Sum 41” the album “Order in Decline”, & finally “Megadeth” the album “The World Needs a Hero”

I exercised to “Green Day” the album “Nimrod”

I will now begin some house chores to “Foo Fighters” B-Sides

I did it, I made it!  Friday, I’ve been waiting for you, for what feels like a month.  I’m exhausted, but I reached & possibly exceeded my exercise goals.  Actually this morning & afternoon thing makes the day pass by REALLY fast, I’m exhausted by the end of the day, but I don’t think that’s a bad thing!  My arms feel like jello on Tuesdays & Thursdays now, in a good way though.

When people tell me to be careful with my exercises, I am.  If something starts to hurt, it’s a sign to stop & bring it down a notch next time.  I don’t want to end up with a bulging disc in my back again for the 14th time since 1997.  It comes & it goes as it pleases, stupid back.  It comes just long enough to mess with my week or a few days.  Lifting the paper into the printing press took it’s toll on my back a couple times, although I think it was only a couple of days the 2 times it happened?

The first time it went on me was grade 11 in 1997 right before lunch.  I twisted in my seat to borrow a pencil from the person behind me & POP went my back.  I drove home for lunch, laid on the kitchen floor, & asked my mother to call the school to let them know I wouldn’t be there in the afternoon.  I had to call work & tell them my back was hurting & that I couldn’t make it for my shift that night at the hotel.

I REALLY like “Tool” but having a few longer good songs is good enough for me.  One very long song for an entire album wouldn’t work for most people.  At least break it down into some movements.  I’m glad the rest of the group didn’t agree to this.

https://loudwire.com/danny-carey-tool-album-one-giant-song/?fbclid=IwAR3hgmvSdBaXyaok5efM5KA8m0Jj93Zn-vGuDkUxrrvgQSZgonLiwcdNUYQ

This is what happens when you put most of your albums on all digital formats.

https://loudwire.com/tool-first-act-top-10-rock-digital-songs/?fbclid=IwAR2RS9lf3IwDJheVYjd4sEwmDZ5u5FMyHzuuKaORdRL6D9Eete0F_ZnbXa4

Sorry, there’s a TON of “Tool” news right now.  Especially after a 13 year wait & now that they’re on all digital formats.

This is what will happen on August 30th.  The digital/online version of the album will have 7 songs & 3 interludes aka 10 tracks.  The physical copy, CD/Vinyl will contain the 7 songs only.  Why this is happening, I have no idea?

“Metallica” can be really good people if & when they choose to be.

https://loudwire.com/metallica-pediatric-hospital-donation/?fbclid=IwAR2NsCN6SiJXD7_DqjRe2Rl9oF0QHSbvR3aCwaLJlK4BC-XwsMCYR5irMMY

I’ll openly admit that I made jokes in bad taste about the “Tool” album taking “10,000 Days” to be released.  Their last release in 2006 was titled “10,000 Days”.  I didn’t realize it at the time but I believe that was the amount of time “Tool” singer’s, Maynard James Keenan, mother dealt with the effects of a stroke until she died.  My deepest apologies to fans I offended & to Maynard as well.

WOW!  Ashton Kutcher’s ex-girlfriend was murdered?  News to me & not the good kind!

https://www.rollingstone.com/culture/culture-news/hollywood-ripper-ashley-ellerin-ashton-kutcher-guilty-murder-872360/?fbclid=IwAR0jhxwYoMU1GplImAd-GREvQURiQTsmMsU9QjXZngBqCnGbjZjmEhyq08o

Lots of people give “Rob Zombie” crap because of his music, he’s not heavy enough to be included in the metal genres.  I would have liked to see him handle this differently, but what makes it OK when Maynard uses his black belt training to tackle a fan that walked on stage?  “Rob Zombie” is a modern day “Alice Cooper”, but his music is more of a “dance metal” type.

What albums are yet to come this year or have been reported about for us rock & metal fans.

“Anthrax” was said to be releasing a new album this year.  I’ve heard nothing from “Anthrax” about writing or recording a new album.

“Megadeth” are working on a new album that’s supposed be released this year.  Singer Dave Mustaine is dealing with throat cancer at the moment.  I can see this album being delayed for this reason.

“Lamb of God” was reported to have a new album out this year.  With the departure of drummer Chris Adler & the farewell tour of “Slayer”, no time has been spent writing or recording a new album.  They will carry on with their current drummer & will likely release a new album next year.

“Chevelle” has recorded a new album, likely in the mixing process.  No news on a release date yet.

“Tool”, “Big Wreck”, “Alter Bridge”, “Opeth” & “The Agonist” have all released preorder singles from albums to be released this year.  “Tool” & “Big Wreck” are first on August 30th & “Alter Bridge” is the final release of these albums on October 18th.  TONS of new music for me this year!

I now use Apple Music in some manner.  When the finances aren’t available, I get the album on Apple Music.  Once I purchase the album, I delete the Apple Music version.

Do you have a question about stage 4 brain cancer?  Ask if you do!

CATCH YOU FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Music throughout the weekend.  “Trivium”, “Foo Fighters”, “Iron Maiden”, “Lamb of God”, & “Billie Eilish”

Great weekend!  We celebrated my parents’ 120th birthday.  My parents were high school sweet hearts from grade 9 on at the same high school both my brother & I attended at separate times, he’s 7 years younger than me.  I was in grade 7 when he was in kindergarten.

Anyways, my parents got married at the age of 19 in November of 1978.  I’m not a child that was born or consummated out of wedlock aka I’m not a bastard.  I was born in January of 1980, yeah I’ll be 40 next year.  I was born the year my parents turned 21 but I have the first birthday of the year in our immediate family.  When I started going to school my parents were the youngest parents around.  When my brother was born 7 years later, they fit in with other parents, age wise.

My parents celebrated their 40th anniversary last year & their 120th birthday party this year with family & friends.  They both turn 60 this year.  Dad’s birthday was in April & Mom’s birthday is near the end of the month.

It was a backyard BBQ at their house.  My cousin, my brother, Kim, & Rachel all planned it with a list of requested guests from my parents.  Hello social media!  My brother is somewhat out of commission after intense surgery on his spine for the bone spurs on his shoulders that could have caused other serious issues.  He & Rachel were occupied with that.  He’s good, just a long recovery.  His surgery was a month or two ago.  My cousin & I helped by inviting people (40+) & making the list of supplies needed.  Kim & a team of other family members did party & food preparing.  Other family members bought the supplies.

We tried to make it as easy, relaxing, & enjoyable as possible for my parents.  My parents bought alcohol, condiments, & had (disappearing) plastic cutlery aka we couldn’t find it when needed.

All my cousin & I did was click a few computer buttons.  Everybody else made the party happen.

I didn’t sleep well Friday night with the party on Saturday!  I was awake until 2:30 am thinking I forgot something or I forgot to invite someone, then I fell asleep only to awake at 5:00 am thinking the same thing.  Back to sleep from 6:00 am until 9:00 am.  Party from 3:00 pm until we left close to 11:00 pm.  Sunday we went back to say goodbye to a few family & friends from out of town or province.

The party was a success!  Who made the party a success?  Everybody that could make it there who was invited, THANK YOU ALL!

Sunday, today, & the rest of the week is recovery for my muscles & now my lack of sleep.  I was planning on being a couch potato this week anyways.  For some reason I woke up at 5:00 am today?  Did the dishes & wrote this.  Is it nap time yet?

I’m a Canadian, living in Canada.  I couldn’t agree more with this REPEATED statement!  The gun violence in America is FAR BEYOND #$%@#@! REDICULOUS!

Sounds as though “Tool” has made a ½ marathon album in playing time over the course of 7 songs!

SUM 41

I know what you’re thinking, “Why review a Canadian punk band that’s so over rated?”  When was the last time you actually listened to them?  Before the release of the album “Screaming Bloody Murder”?  Well this review includes “Screaming Bloody Murder”, “13 Voices” & the newest album “Order in Decline”.  Prior to these 3 latest releases they were just a band that was around.  They did start off as more of a punk band, but their lead guitarist has always been a metal fan.  They’re not as popular as “Anthrax” by any stretch of the imagination, I would put them in that category though as a good mix of punk & metal.

This was all over Much Music in 2001.

Fair enough.  I get the generic pop/punk stereotype with that.  I wasn’t a fan then either, I’m a fan of their current stuff now though.  FYI-All of this is just my opinion.  Here are 2 songs from each of their last 3 albums in order of album release.

2011   Screaming Bloody Murder

2016   13 Voices

2019   Order in Decline

Do you have a question about stage 4 brain cancer?  Ask if you do!

I fell asleep to “Iron Maiden” the album “The Final Frontier” & “Sum 41” the album “Order in Decline”

I exercised to “Billie Eilish” the album “When we die, where do we all go?” Kim & I saw her on Ellen & were both hooked!

No, I don’t hear voices in my head or anything else like that.  More often than not I overreact when something goes wrong.  I’m not perfect & I’m EXTREMELY critical about myself.  Lately I’ve been more conscious about relaxing in any instance when things go awry.  I could flip out about our A/C.  What good would that do?  I could have thrown a tantrum about having to redo our iTunes, what good would come of that?  I’d throw a tantrum, then feel just as small as the people who heard it.  Nobody deserves that.  I’ve made mistakes, & I learn from them.  Mostly I think to myself “How could I have handled that situation better?”  Much like when I was working.  If I made a mistake on a certain job, the salesperson or bindery workers would let me know & I’d approach it a different way.

At the end of the day, I just want things to be done right the first time, which doesn’t always happen.

I know I’m not perfect but that’s not going to stop me from trying to be better every day.  A guy with glasses, in a wheelchair, who is also weak with his arms, & who has anger issues, is not a guy to look up to.  I probably still have a long road ahead to address the effects of brain cancer, but it could be much worse.

I don’t take criticism well, why?  I know my speech & my strength aren’t anywhere near perfect.  I’m hard enough on myself.  If you can’t understand me, ask me to repeat what I said, I may say it louder, but I’m not yelling at you by any means.  I’m trying to speak clearly & a bit louder, just to make it clearer for you.  I’m sorry if anyone takes it as anger.

It was incredibly wrong of me to pick at people & point out, what I considered to be, their flaws in the beginning of this entire thing.  I did that to too many people, even one would be too many, my sincerest apologies to all.  Anyone could have turned the table on me & pointed out my MANY flaws.

I spent Tuesday with my parents in case the A/C went out again.  The guy was looking at it when I left, he’ll be here today with a valve rush ordered from B.C.  I guess the one they’ve replaced once is sticking & not able to allow the coolant through when it should.  Makes sense to me.  I hope this does the trick.

I’m usually hot anyways, but with it being so hot in here lately, I was cold at 3:00 am Monday night.  Kim had the comforter & I woke her up.  “What are you doing?” she asks, “Trying to get some of the comforter.  The sheet isn’t enough with the A/C working overnight, I’m cold.”

My parents were making a trip to the cabin to drop off some stuff.  Brewster & I tagged along on Tuesday.  We were there long enough to have a bathroom break, drop off a few things, & for Brewster to get covered in burs.  I tried to get some off but he yelped in pain.  He needs to see the groomer anyways, hopefully she can buzz most of them off, poor guy.  He sat on my lap the whole way back he just couldn’t get comfortable.

Great way to start the week, turn on my computron to see that a new “Big Wreck” album is set for full release on August 30th.  The tour hits Regina on Wednesday, November 13th!

Now if Tool does what they’ve said they will do, that makes 2 VERY anticipated album releases on the same day!

Speaking of “Tool”, here’s the artwork for the new album!

https://loudwire.com/tool-new-logo-teaser-album/?fbclid=IwAR0DAjQMCSMWEG0YT1LUAP9JjSWMlzxuqTPoHW_fSPrD-qih438JP5h2BWI

I don’t think “Tool” will release a single or preorder.  They prefer the listener to take in the album all at once.  I preorder on iTunes, however I’ll listen to the single at most 3 times.  I also prefer to listen to a full album.

1,200  That’s a TON of metal shows  I’m guessing I’ve been to roughly 300 shows in general, some metal, most aren’t.

I hope “Breaking Benjamin” fans are up for an acoustic album because here it comes.

DEF LEPPARD

I only have the one album everybody’s heard at least one song off of.  “Hysteria”.  Years ago before I was sick, I hit the “Autofill” button on iTunes & was flooded with random music, most of which I didn’t want & deleted ASAP.  Sorry Anne Murray, great voice but I don’t listen to your music.  “Hysteria” was among the 6 or 8 albums I kept.

1987   HYSTERIA

No, I don’t listen to this much at all.  Most 1980s rock & metal aren’t for me.  I was born in January, 1980.  My parents didn’t listen to hard rock or metal from that time, well, never metal.  I grew up on Jimmy Buffet, Dire Straits, Glass Tiger, The Monkees, The Partridge Family, Fine Young Cannibals (which I own on CD), Queen, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, etc.

Do you have a question about stage 4 brain cancer?  Ask if you do!

Music throughout the weekend.  “Ed Sheeran”, “Sum 41”, “Foo Fighters”, & “Iron Maiden”

“Foo Fighters” released a live EP with 6 songs from this show, only available on streaming sites?  I got it, despite my personal opinion regarding streaming sites.

Just when I think I’ve got our iTunes fixed, I realize there’s more work to be done.  On top of that, the A/C is back to where it began on June 28th, broken…again!  Too late to call now about it, I guess we sweat some more until Monday?  I noticed all of this Friday evening around 8:00 pm.

Wake up Saturday morning, Kim makes a trip to Tim Horton’s for coffee & I asked for a bagel.  I have my breakfast & she gets right to painting.  She turns on the A/C & it actually went down a degree.  Is it broken or is it fixed?  I may live “…in the land of the ice & snow…” in the summer in Canada it gets HOT outside, & just as hot inside our place.  In the winter we can’t turn on the A/C but our windows face south.  So if you’re cold in the winter, bring a bottle of rum, we can share it & pretend we’re in Jamaica.

Saskatchewan Roughrider football game Saturday night.  A win for the home team after a dreadful game 2 weeks ago.  While we’re discussing the Roughriders, I’ve made a decision.  I’ve been attending every home game since before I can remember.  Whenever I was old enough for my grandfather to hold me on his lap, before kindergarten I know.  I’m know 39 years old & of course I missed the games while in the hospital.  It’s very sad to say, but next season will be my last as a season ticket holder.  If the Grey Cup/Championship game wasn’t here next year, this would be my final season.  It’s become a financial burden what with the rise of ticket prices, food & beverages, all for the new stadium.  I like being in the stadium, it’s just too much money for us in our situation.  I can watch the games on TV & a pop won’t cost $6 or $9 for a beer.  At least at home the beverages & food are prepaid.

Finished fixing my iTunes finally & we’ll call the plumbers first thing tomorrow.  Kim & her sister drove to their aunt’s place in Kinistino, 3 hours north, for a birthday party & are back this evening.  Brewster & I did our thing, he slept & I watched baseball.

Our air conditioning is being weird in that it shut down Friday evening, yet today it works fine?  Then stops working around 2:30 in the afternoon.  That’s our weekend in a “….nutshell….”

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I will now cry & take a moment for myself & Chris Adler.

Not a great way to end a Friday^^.  L

October 15th says Kevin Smith.  I can’t wait, I’m all in!  “Jay & Silent Bob Reboot”!!!!  LOTS OF LANGUAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I still think this is the most over rated album of all time.  I understand many people love it, & I’m the odd one out.  Could be that I’ve heard the opening of “Welcome to the Jungle” at every Rider game since it was released in 1987?  I stopped listening to the rock radio station because they play songs from this album & early “Rush” songs full of synthesizer.  I own this CD, it’s in a box behind me & not on my iTunes or iPod.

https://loudwire.com/guns-n-roses-appetite-for-destruction-facts/?fbclid=IwAR0aBVAfsowaH6VvZ6reAnk5Y_4TfOa6QRhMdFrD9W0_tMVDAAkVTP88P8o

I do listen to quite a bit of “Rush” post 1980 only though.

ADELE

I have her album “21”.  That’s all I have for her music.  I very rarely listen to it though.  Despite having a FANTASTIC voice, it didn’t stick around for very long with me.  I guess it’s more of the fact that she’s out of my typical listening area.  Too far out of my little box despite her talent.

4 day exercise total; 400 leg lifts, 300 crunches, 300 squats, 200 back flexes, 500 curls 10 pounds on left arm & 7 pounds on right arm, 300 tricep lifts w/5 pound weight, 200 shoulder raises w/5 pound weight,  stretching, & yoga.

I fell asleep to “Sum 41” the new album “Order in Decline”

I got up too early to turn on the music today.  Last night I also listened to “Live” the 25th anniversary edition of “Throwing Copper”

I had my 2nd appointment with my psychiatrist.  I think my pills are helping, quite a bit!  Just waiting for a referral to a psychologist or therapist to talk to.

Honestly it’s little things that drive me nuts, I don’t talk about them, & eventually I just blow up on whoever, despite them not doing anything.  Mainly technology.  It feels like “Here’s a bunch of new stuff for you, we built it, and you figure it out”.  At least IKEA gives you a page of instructions.  Fix the old stuff that doesn’t work, then move on to newer stuff we apparently “need”.  “In the meantime” “I need to keep my head together”!  The increase in 1 of my anti-depressant pills has helped, but I think I should talk with someone.

In other news our A/C seems to be fixed.  I’m always warm & I wear shorts year ‘round.  If I’m in pants I’m headed to or leaving a wedding or funeral!  Apple pointed me in the right direction & I figured things out from there, 7 CDs to reload & iTunes should be fixed!

Justin Bieber is a BIG fan of Tool!  AWESOME!

What do I think about this?  I don’t care, listen to whatever you like.  As for his wife’s opinion, she probably doesn’t get Maynard’s humour if she’s not a fan of Tool, A Perfect Circle, or Puscifer.  She blew it a bit out of proportion.  Appropriately, Maynard didn’t reply.

In all fairness to Tool, it’s about quality, not quantity!

Fans of “The Offspring” get ready for a new album.  For me they’re there, I don’t mind them, & I don’t hate them.  I’ve never felt compelled to buy an album of theirs.  I have performed one song of theirs.

YAY new video from “The Struts”!  Great band!

I’m not a “Guns n’ Roses” fan, but this is really funny.  Even I know that “…the grass is green & the girls are pretty…” in Paradise City!

What I do like about 1987 is “Testament’s” first album, “U2” released “The Joshua Tree”…………………….oh yeah, my brother was born that year!

New video from the upcoming album by “The Agonist”

I do enjoy “Iron Maiden”.  You’d probably be hard pressed to find a metal fan who doesn’t like them.  The singer has an incredible vocal range!

DEVIN TOWNSEND/DEVIN TOWNSEND PROJECT

I have talked about him before, this time I’d like to focus on “Devin Townsend Project” specifically the album “Epicloud”.  Devin Townsend has made too many albums to count.  Including the little that I know of, about 12 Devin Townsend Project albums, at least 3 “Strapping Young Lad” albums, & a handful of solo albums.  Yes he’s an odd, but refreshing, character in the world of metal!

He also produced the 2nd “Lamb of God” album “As The Palaces Burn”  this does not include the first album “Lamb of God” released under the name “Burn the Priest” a terrible album in my opinion.

Devin Townsend is Canadian & resides in British Columbia.

Do you have a question about stage 4 brain cancer?  Ask if you do!

I fell asleep to “Live” the album “Throwing Copper”, followed by “Mark Morton” his solo album “Anesthetic”

I exercised to “Corrosion of Conformity” the album “Wiseblood”

Friday’s post on here will be later than usual.  “Mid-afternoon” or later.

I was up at 8:00 am on Monday & got straight to my exercises.  I usually listen to music, but we forgot to put the remote on the charger overnight.  Kim comes home at the end of the day & we hunker down to watch “The Ellen Degeneres Show” only to find the Toronto Raptors celebration parade was recorded in it’s place.  I purposely set it to record on a Canadian channel to avoid so many “Breaking News” alerts about mass shootings in America.  A couple of years ago it was a weekly occurrence.  I’ve never really been a basketball fan & I didn’t hop on the Raptors wagon.  Good for them, but not in my list of interests.

It’s been a quiet week thus far.  The next couple of days could be “EXTREME”LY busy?

I beat cancer & that’s GREAT!  Still annoying with the appointments.  Beats the alternative though.  My (cancer) doctors are always asking how I am, but with a head tilt in a really sympathetic voice.  I’m fine, but it’s getting old at this point.  I wish they would treat me like a “normal” patient.  They all did & are doing their job VERY well!

Going to the cancer clinic here is a routine now for me every year.  That’s not a typical routine for most people, it’s annoying, but again, I guess it’s a pretty good tradeoff for being alive & well.

I don’t really feel like a cancer survivor………………..until someone asks me how I’m doing.  Not that I expect them not to ask.  I’m just tired of being treated differently.  Nobody’s fault at all, but it’s been over a decade since I had cancer.  I’d likely ask the same thing.  I guess the iPatch, wheelchair, & my speech are a giveaway.  Ah well.

I’ve almost completely abandoned my pushups & tricep lifts.  Tuesdays & Thursdays are now just stretching, yoga, & weights.  They’re totally different muscles though.  I might throw in 100 pushups on those days?  Different muscles, but still working my arms on those days, we’ll see what happens next week?

I don’t know of any fans of “Ghost”.  Anybody that’s anticipating new music from them will have to wait until 2020.

It must take quite a while to finish a professional release?  Sum 41, Big Wreck, Chevelle, Alter Bridge, & Tool, all say they’re done recording.  I have 2 Sum 41, 2 Big Wreck singles, & one song from The Agonist from a future album.  Anthrax, Megadeth, & Pearl Jam are said to be releasing new material this year also.  I’m a bit worried they’ll all just unleash their albums all at the same time.

I don’t have Big Wreck on preorder.  A recent death in the band easily explains the hold up of a release though.

July = Sum 41, August = Tool maybe, October = Alter Bridge, & September = The Agonist.

Dave Mustaine, former lead guitarist Metallica & now singer/guitarist/founder of Megadeth has been diagnosed with throat cancer.  His doctors have a plan that has a 90% success rate.

If I can survive stage 4 brain cancer (5-15% chance of coming out of a coma).  I’m likely to think Dave Mustaine can beat throat cancer with a 90% success rate of surviving!

Dave Mustaine seems very driven to release a new Megadeth album despite his throat cancer diagnoses.  We’ll see, I wouldn’t blame if it didn’t come out this year.

“The Batman” villains in 2021?

Article/interview with Alter Bridge regarding new album & European tour dates.

Big Wreck announced tour dates.  A few in the Maritimes, & the rest throughout America.

WHAT???????  Facebook bans Led Zeppelin art work for the album “Houses of the Holy”.  I would think a band like “Cannibal Corps” would be the first target if they’re doing this?

ASCOT ROYALS (revised)

I made a mistake last time I wrote about them.  They’re not done!  I found a single on iTunes just after the previous blog about them.  This is the group I saw opening for Big Wreck a few years ago on their “Grace Street” tour at the Casino in town.  I thought they were REALLY good.  A bit softer than Big Wreck, they fit together very well though.

Single released in 2018   EVIL I KNOW

I’ll correct my mistakes on here it just might take a while before I notice them.

The more you share this, the more readers I get.  No, I’m not profiting from this in any way.  I can’t tell who’s reading this but thank you! Word of mouth is the only way of promoting this.

Do you have a question about stage 4 brain cancer?  Ask if you do!

5 day exercise total; 600 leg lifts, 450 crunches, 450 squats, 300 back flexes, 400 curls, 100 tricep lifts w/ weights,  yoga, & stretching.

Tuesdays & Thursdays are stretching, yoga, & weights.  In that order.  Both of those days, I do more sets on my left/weaker arm.

I fell asleep to “Counting Crows” the album “August & Everything After”, followed by “Trivium” the album “The Sin & the Sentence”

I exercised to “Travelling Wilburys” the only album they released S/T

LANGUAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I may have very little muscle improvement that is visual, other than a drop in weight.  I am much stronger though.  This is an extension of my physiotherapy.  If they thought I needed to be there still, I would be.  There are some people who could be there for life.  There were people there before me who are likely still there.  I was in the Wascana Rehabilitation Center from 2009-Thursday, July 26th 2012.  Before that was Tuesday, Feb. 5th 2008 in the Pasqua Hospital.

It was a lot like being in a bunker for 4 ½ years.  Not a ton of contact with people, which was fair, they have their lives outside of my world.  When I was released from the WRC, it was pretty much “a whole new world” on the outside.  Even know we’ll go to an area of town & I’ll be asking Kim, “When did that building pop up here?”  Multiple times.

I exercise because I have to.  Over time it’s become normal for me & something I just get up & do.  I didn’t like it in the beginning & now it’s just something I do, & feel better after it.  Throughout the day I stick to fruits, vegetables, 2 eggs, chicken, turkey, or fish.  Supper is whatever Kim feels like having, which is usually quite healthy also.

As for the weights I’ve switched to, I use a 10 pound weight for curls & a 5 pound weight for my triceps & other exercises.  I think in the very near future I’ll use a 20 pound & a 10 pound weight?

We need “Rage Against the Machine” to come back now, more than ever!

I hear there are some American basketball fans that really don’t like that the Toronto Raptors were in the championship round of the NBA.  Why?  In the 90s there were American teams in the Canadian Football League.  Hockey is considered a Canadian sport yet the majority of the teams are American in the NHL.  The Toronto Blue Jays won the World Series in 1992 & 1993 & the Canadian flag was upside down for one of the games, so they dealt with being shamed by Americans.  Worst of all basketball was invented by a Canadian gym teacher, James Naismith.

Now that the Raptors have won the championship, I’m assuming they’ll receive more belly aching?  I still have no interest in watching the game since I don’t understand it or have the desire to learn about it.  Kim has made me watch 6 minutes of basketball over the course of the last 2 games.  I haven’t watched any basketball in the last 27 years of my life.  I’m just not a fan.  I know many people enjoy it though!  Congratulations to the Toronto Raptors!

Sum 41 released a 2nd video/song from their upcoming album in July.

I use preorders on iTunes, easier to wake up & find that you have a new album other than making a note with the date of the release, that you might not look at.

FANTASTIC way to celebrate your 13th birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I’m a BIG fan of Alter Bridge, I do find this to be rather subjective.

https://www.ultimate-guitar.com/articles/features/best_bands_that_rose_to_fame_in_the_last_15_years_alter_bridge-91890?fbclid=IwAR2EUgiThzM5SnYtfBVUbzMKUPFgmpgobZ8iMYKQfnoXXL7ILHmzSRtZU3M

Also subjective.  I’ve liked all of the “In Flames” albums.  The new album is AWESOME!  Who has the right to judge any art though?  You could ask 100 people & get 100 different answers.  It’s not the judges on “American Idol”, “The Voice”, or “America’s Got Talent” or any other talent contest.

Over the last 7-10 years, In Flames fans have been complaining about them not being as heavy as their previous albums.  Everybody’s entitled to their own opinion.  They made some really good rock/metal albums during that time.  That’s my opinion, not anybody else’.

Lamb of God added a song to Spotify from an album released in 2009.  That’s why I don’t use Spotify.  I don’t use music streaming sites at all.  This is my issue with Spotify only (other than it’s a streaming site).

THE ARROGANT WORMS (OLD & LIKELY NOT POLITICALLY CORRECT)

They’re what I would call a novelty act.  Every home Saskatchewan Roughrider game you will get up & stretch with “Work Safety Bob” between the 3rd & 4th quarter to “The Last Saskatchewan Pirate”.  Like I said, they’re more of a novelty/comedic group, but some of those songs will get stuck in your head, so beware!
