Is my family weird because we’ve had peanut butter & banana sandwiches or peanut butter & jam/jelly sandwiches?

Friday ended with a TON of recorded TV being watched.  I did my exercises in the morning while Kim, who had the day off, went grocery shopping.

Saturday, dad & I had every intension of going to the Saskatchewan Roughrider game against the visiting Edmonton Eskimos.  I was at their house dressed in layers and said we should just stay at my parents’ place & watch the game on the 104” HD projection screen in the basement, so we did!  Roughriders lost so we play in Ottawa for the first round of playoff games.  We went upstairs to have a delicious roast, vegetable & Greek flavoured potatoes.  I don’t eat potatoes if they’re mashed, boiled or baked.  If it’s French Fries, there had better be ketchup nearby.  Kim went to our friends place to watch the UFC/MMA fight on pay-per-view.  I can’t get into watching that stuff.

We got home late last night, around 11:30 pm, & I fell out of my wheelchair.  We had a TON of recycling in front of the closet.  I tried to reach too far & down I went into a very small area between the recycling & the door.  As I always say it’s not the first time I’ve fallen & it probably won’t be the last time.

Today is our usual Sunday routine.  We slept in, had breakfast, & now we’ll get ready for the week, & I’ll watch some more of “Stranger Things season 2” on Netflix.

That’s a list of metal bands that is far more miss than hit, for me!

Stone Temple Pilots are back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Big Wreck at the Casino Regina February 17th 2018 to celebrate 20 years since their debut album “In Loving Memory of…”  WOOHOO!

Grunge was the cool thing in the early 90s.  I hated it, just loud noise to me.  I turned 13 in 1993.  Everybody was saying how fantastic “Nirvana” & “Soundgarden” were.  In 1992 I saw the “Barenaked Ladies” as my first concert.  Our entire immediate family went, I was 12 & my brother was 5 years old.

From that point on I was all about acoustic “rock/pop” music “Blues Traveler”, “Sister Hazel”, & “Hootie & the Blowfish”

I have 13 “Barenaked Ladies” albums on my iPod & I still listen to them.  That’s the album I have preordered for mid-November, titled “Fake Nudes”.

That phase didn’t last too long.  In 1996 “I Mother Earth” released the album “Scenery & Fish” that went triple platinum.  That & “Our Lady Peace” album “Naveed” turned me on to rock music.

Everybody at my high school was all about “Our Lady Peace” 2nd album, different strokes for most of the country other than me.  Their 2nd album “Clumsy” for me was the start of a fast & steady decline.

It wasn’t a bad album to me.  I really like their first 4 albums still, & listen to them.  I’ve got all of their 8 studio albums.  I only enjoy the first 4 though.

It was around 1996 I started getting into grunge and heavier rock albums, especially Canadian rock!

What do I want for Christmas?  The relief of feeling OK without having this sciatic nerve pain.  I’ve had more than enough of this thing.  I get up & sometimes it’s this excruciating pain, & other times it’s as though it’s not there at all.  Pick one or the other please & just go with it.  The Jekyll & Hyde thing is not cool.  Be consistent please.  At least let me know what it’s going to feel like when I stand up?

I prefer an album that’s around 50 minutes long.  Eps just leave me wanting more.

I do prefer the Tool EP MUCH more than their following full length album “Undertow”, I’m a rarity in this discussion though.

Walk off the Earth

Another http://www.loudwire.com award thing-a-me-jig.

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!  Holiday snack goes HORRIBLY wrong on TV.

Joe Walsh, Gary Clark Jr.  & Dave Grohl “While my guitar gently weeps” tribute to The Beatles.

I think it was 60 questions?  I had to guess on 3 of them but still managed to get 100%.  How many of these bands can you get right?

Pentatonix on America’s Got Talent Christmas special.

33 hard rock & metal acts that www.loudwire.com thinks should be in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

2016 was a season to forget.  As a Rider season ticket holder, I’d much rather have a winning season rather than a thank you email after a 4 or 5 win season & a ticket hike.  Just a ridiculous season in the CFL in general.  The championship game, the Grey Cup didn’t even sell out this year in Toronto’s new stadium.

Soundgarden shared it…….

If Opeth is playing 3 full albums that would be an extremely long show!

What inspired Megadeth’s “Holy Wars”

Nice grab Kyla!!!

Don’t you just laugh when someone tries to look cool, & it just doesn’t go anywhere near what you were expecting!

And that’s why I have NEVER attempted a “guitar spin”!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  If it goes wrong I look like an idiot that can’t afford a new guitar!  Instead of just an idiot!

Walk off the Earth shared it….

Sounds as though Donald Trump’s inauguration could be rather quiet?  I think he should call Ted Nugent, he’d be there in seconds so would Kid Rock!  They’re both Trump supporters.

Myles is the guy in the audience.

Metallica’s 10 best riffs

November 1999 interview of Dave Grohl on Conan O’Brien.

New Nine Inch Nails tune.

I just saw that “Walk off the Earth” is playing on a cruise organized by “Sister Hazel”?????!!!!!!  I had no clue “Sister Hazel” was still active???!!!  I guess it’s mostly because that’s no longer my go to music style.
