I fell asleep to “The Struts” the album “Everybody Wants”

I exercised to “Pink” the album “Beautiful Trauma”

2 days of walking with my walker with Kim helping me in the evenings.  She had some work related stuff to do this week.  I’m not posting the walking distance until the end of November.  It’s more about the quality than the quantity.

Morning exercise total; 625 pushups, 500 crunches, 650 leg lifts, & 420 squats.  Other exercises I did on occasion 150 tricep pushups & 40 back flexes.

Every day this week I’ve felt exhausted even before I exercise.  I wake up & think “Yay it’s Friday………nope it’s _________ ah, crap!”  No matter what I’m thinking on any day, I’m completely useless for a good 2-5 minutes & avoid any physical activity, even a shower.

So many things to think about when I’m walking!  Keep the walker straight, strike the floor with my heel, stand up straight, don’t take un-normal step amounts, etc.  I guess I should focus on one issue at a time, it should be less stressful that way.  I like to think my day is done after my morning routine, nope!  As much as I don’t like it, I don’t want to live in a wheelchair the rest of my life, & the exercises are making a noticeable difference, but I always know that someone is doing better than me.

This exercising isn’t just for me, it’s for me not to be a burden to other people too.  Nobody says I’m a burden, but things would be much easier if I was more independent.

How do I find out about the newer bands that I like?  Facebook &/or  I see a group I’ve never heard of & jump in feet first.  So this new music I find is all youtube’s fault.  “The Beaches”, “Nothing but Thieves”, “Dead Sara”, “The Struts”, “Greta Van Fleet” etc.  I see a thumbnail on  & I click on it.  If I don’t like it, oh well there goes 3 minutes or less of my time.

If you don’t know who “The Beaches” are, you will come Juno time if you’re Canadian.  They’re nominated for ‘Best New Artist’.  They fall into the indie rock category which I sort of avoid but they got me.  4 girls in their early 20s from Ontario.

Summer TV isn’t terrible Toronto Blue Jays almost every day.  Then “Suits”, “Dr. Pimple Popper”, the TV series “Shooter”, “The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon”, & “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert”

It’s on TLC, I just assume it’s not real, very entertaining though!

“Shooter” is based on the movie starring Mark Wahlberg.  He the producer for this show.  The first season was the story that was told in the movie.  They’re on the 3rd season now.

No release date or preorder date has been announced yet, but I’m anxious for the new “Greta Van Fleet” album at the end of August or a bit later & MUSE in November!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today is “Into Eternity” day!!!

I currently own only his ‘Greatest Hits’ & I had to add “Cuts Like a Knife” to it.  His album “Waking up the Neighbours” was one of the first 2 CDs I got with a boom box when I was 11.  The other CD was “C+C Music Factory”.  Bryan Adams is a Canadian legend.  I saw him last year at the new football stadium before the inaugural season started.  I saw him at ‘The Conexus Arts Center” 3 years ago (?), just him, his acoustic guitar, & a piano player.  Both shows did not disappoint. He’s been releasing albums since 1981 from what I can tell on iTunes.  Yes, he has a large catalogue of songs.  In no particular order, here’s a sampling…..

This first one is on “Waking up the Neighbours”

Really, if this is retired life, I don’t want it.  BORING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I’d much rather be exercising & improving my girlish figure……………….I mean my slightly larger girlish figure.  With no license I stay in our condo FAR more than needed.

People ask me why I wear shorts year round?  Well, I’m always warm/hot & sweating, I’m outside just long enough to get in a vehicle, all of our windows face south which makes it uncomfortable for me since I can’t switch on the air, & I usually work out.  Anything over 24 degrees Celcius (75.2 Fahrenheit) too hot for me!

I wish they would come to Calgary, Regina or Winnipeg.  Calgary’s a 7:30 hour drive & Winnipeg’s 6:00 hour, I’ve made the 2:30 hour drive to Saskatoon too many times.  It’s flat, the highway is busy, & it’s EXTREMELY boring.  2:30 hours to Saskatoon feels like a 10:00 hour drive.

By the end of this album, it’s pretty much metal with the amazing vocals of Myles Kennedy!

Which rock & metal musicians received Grammy nominations?

Every time I listen to this album, I tend to like it more & more.  This is one of the least popular songs on the album.  It’s the only song on the 11 song album without language. fact or fiction with drummer Vinnie Paul, originally of Pantera.  LANGUAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Already a couple of concerts for me next year, & Guns n’ Roses in August, in Regina for everyone else.

It’s not that Guns n’ Roses aren’t good at what they do, it just seems to be somewhat repetitive to me.  I own “Appetite for Destruction” on CD & I’ve listened to it probably 3 times.  It really does nothing for me.  It’s buried in the closet with my other CDs.

I don’t think former Toronto Blue Jay free agent, Edwin Encarnacion, is totally gone yet.  The Blue Jays have signed 2 guys both DH/1B players.  I don’t want the recently signed Kendrys Morales to ever see his glove again.  He can hit, but that’s all I’d have him do.  They also signed Steve Pearce on Monday he can play 1B, 2B, 3B, LF, RF or DH.  Morales at DH, Pearce in LF, & Encarnacion at 1B?  I’d try to trade Upton junior & Justin Smoak for a relief pitcher that might be a stretch though?  I don’t know if you’d get anything for them.  As for Jose Bautista, I’m good with him signing or not to Toronto.  He’s overpriced and on the downside of his baseball career.  If the Jays sign outfielder Dexter Fowler that could mean the end of Encarnacion signing, unless Encarnacion agrees to a cheap short term contract.  If they don’t sign Fowler, they can throw $30 million a year for 2 years at Encarnacion.  Right now, Edwin Encarnacion is more of an afterthought for teams that we’re interested.  He should have taken the Jays offer of $80 million over 4 years.  Hindsight is 20/20 though.

I didn’t even know P.J. Harvey was still around.  I think she opened for U2 on their ‘Elevation’ tour in 2000?

Have you seen the movie “Shooter” starring Mark Wahlberg?  He’s producing a TV series on Bravo based on the movie.  I just watched the 4th episode from Tuesday night.  It’s really good!  If you haven’t been watching the series since the 2nd episode, you might find it confusing now.  If you’ve seen the movie you might be OK.
