I like to get up early & get stuff done, so I can be lazy & watch “Criminal Minds” on DVD or The People vs. O.J. Simpson hat we bought from iTunes.

I first fell asleep to “The 1975” the album “I love it when you sleep, for you are so beautiful yet so unaware of it”. I woke up briefly and put on “Tremonti” his first album “All I Was” hit a hard rock/metal song after a quiet ballad, that woke me up! That never happens!

First I exercised to nothing, it was far too early. When Kim left for work I’d already done ½ of my exercise. I put on “Prince” the album “1999”

I’m exited for this new show. 2 half hour episodes tomorrow, then it will air on Sundays.

Saturday we did some cleaning & laundry then went to Brown’s Social House for supper with Dave & Liz, their kids were with a babysitter & Brewster was at Kim;s sister’s place, Sherry & James’ place. We can’t leave him here alone so we also have to find a dog sitter for when we go out, We had a noise complaint a few years ago, when we left him home alone. We tried a few things but they didn’t work?

After supper we watched TV, cleared off our PVR & watched episodes 5 & 6 of “Making a Murderer” on Netflix. I’m really into that show 4 more episodes to go!

Sunday. Today we saw Star Wars Episode VII The Force Awakens with Mitch, Rachel & Dad. It was good movie, just a little more humour in it than I’m used to in a Star Wars movie, but still WAY better than Episode I The Phantom Menace with Jar Jar Binks. We went to my parents place for Western Pizza after. Now we’re home Kim’s doing more laundry & ironing her clothes for work.

Today’s workout was brought to you by “Muse” the album “Absolution”

Squats aren’t that fun. Muscles I haven’t ever thought about are killing me today. I’ve done a total of 100 squats this week. That’s enough squats for the week. I changed it up & did 50 push ups & yoga to stretch some painful muscles. I’ve got the mind of someone in their 20s & the body of someone in their 90s. Yet I haven’t turned 36 yet?

We all knew American Idol wouldn’t go on forever. I’m assuming people got bored with the platform. Not all of the winners went on to stardom, yet kids continued to audition. I couldn’t point out what went wrong other than it’s been around for 15 seasons, & FOX wanted something new? That’s just my guess. It’s weird to think some kids don’t know a world without American Idol? It’s a great marketing tool, but how many winners of the show went on to large success? I could only name a few at best. Where did the 2014 winner go?

These are just funny, hidden baseball tricks that make the opposing player look like a fool. Yes, I’ve been on both sides of these plays.

I saw some photos of some artists. “Kongos” is finishing the vocals for their album. “Linkin Park” is in the studio Chester Bennington was shown recording vocals. “Alter Bridge” are writing/rehearsing for their 5th album & will be in the studio “soon”. Looks promising for new music this year. If anyone is coming to a place near you, I encourage you to go out & support your preferred musician. This free music is hurting the industry. I should get out to more shows as well. We have an actual money tree, but it just grows leaves, not printed money……………BAD, MONEY TREE, BAD!!!!!!!!

Here’s the “Coachella” festival line up from Rolling Stone

More from Loud Wire on the “Guns n’ Roses” reunion.

I’m not a fan of these 3 groups, so for me, this is almost sad.

Wolfmother fans, here’s the new single. I like their sound, I could see the vocals getting old fast? I’ll have to check them out. I do remember hearing their first big hit in 2006 or 2007?

Well Blue Jay fans the eagle has left & landed in Boston. Now the Blue Jays can look dumbfounded when he’s pitching against them in the same division. The Boston Red Sox just became that team in the division that everybody will freak out about if David Price is pitching against them. $217,000,000 over 7 years ($31,000,000/year) this was announced shortly after I posted Tuesday’s blog.

What did the Blue Jays do earlier this week? Traded a relief pitcher for a relief pitcher & signed a previous Blue Jay starting pitcher, J. Happ, who was better after the Jays traded him. This guy…….

He came back later that season, then the Blue Jays traded him. What will The Toronto Blue Jays do next? I don’t know? Maybe trade 2 middle of the 5 man starting rotation? You can never have too much pitching. I’d love to see Ryan Goins playing in the field everyday, I’m not sure that will happen? The big thing they might want to look at is Jose Bautista & Edwin Encarnacion’s contracts are done at the end of next season. Might be a good time to trade one of them or sign both of them?

Today’s workout was brought to you by “Foo Fighters” the album “The Colour & The Shape” I wonder why he didn’t know it? Maybe because the album was released in 1997 & studio 606 they’ve owned/built in 2005?

“Glassjaw” return after 5 years with a new song. Opening for “Coheed & Cambria” on tour. I’d show up late for this show. “Glassjaw” song inside the link.

A lot of great guitar players & a few I’ve never heard of. 10 videos to show you songs you might know them from.

I absolutely love the “Star Wars” franchise. I have no intention of watching the new movie until February. It will be in theaters in December, but I’ll wait until EVERYBODY has seen it 10 times.

Top 15 metal albums of 2015. Yes, I quite enjoy “The Agonist”

It’s subjective “Matt Heafy” of Trivium isn’t even on the ballot. It’s more of a popularity contest. At least Mark Morton & Willie Adler from “Lamb of God” were on it.

“For a wounded man shall say to his assailant. If I live I will kill you, if I die you are forgiven. Such is the rule of honour.” I don’t know if I’m pro death penalty, this sort of makes sense in a weird way?

Sorry, I’m on a “Lamb of God” kick right now.

At the moment I have 3 albums on preorder from iTunes. “Iron Maiden”, “Trivium”, & “Clutch”

I want to hear the “Coheed & Cambria” album before I buy it. Release date on iTunes is October 16th .

Garbage reissue 20th anniversary of their first album. “Buy this thing that sounds a bit better than the original one you already own”. Not just them announcing reissues, EVERYBODY!

We’ll see if this works. Really nice photo of a Tremonti guitar.

I guess the Canadian rockers Avril Lavigne & Chad Kroeger (Nickelback) have separated. I may not enjoy their music, but separating is not the greatest of news.

I didn’t know they recorded together?

Looks as though “Pentatonix” will be releasing an album of original music on October 16th . iTunes preorder on Friday, September 4th. I REALLY like Pentatonix!

“One week” & Apple hasn’t fixed iTunes Match yet. Not iTunes Match users can fix it, Apple only. U2 album, overnight solution. iTunes Match for entire iTunes libraries all over the world, no solution after a week?

Oh my, that’s an old interview!

From the album “Rattle & Hum” the album after “The Joshua Tree”

My mother bought me “The Joshua Tree” at Costco one day, then quickly regretted that purchase. I’d listen to that CD as much as possible. Every day I heard, “CHRIS! TURN THAT DOWN!”

Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds-Chasing Yesterday is currently the top selling vinyl album of 2015. If you liked the sound of “Oasis” in the ’90s you might enjoy this album? It’s not a carbon copy of Oasis. Same guitar player/song writer though.

This good n’ all but many people would like another “System of a Down” album

I’ve got 3 “Coheed & Cambria” albums, I’m good!

Here you Toronto music festival fans.

I saw a U2 tribute band after seeing the real U2. The members of the tribute band were shorter & fatter, but they all dressed like the real U2. Remember “Troll dolls”? Picture Bono or The Edge as a “Troll doll” that’s a pretty accurate description of the tribute band I saw!

Picture ^^ that while hearing this….

All of this fuss on Facebook about Alex Rodriguez not being in the “All-Star” game since he hit 3000 hits for his career this year. I can give you one important reason. How many of those hits did he get while using steroids? Personally I’d say he’s around 2300 hits for his career. Even the New York Yankees didn’t acknowledge his achievement of 3000 hits for his career. Actions speak louder than words in this instance. When your employer chooses not recognize a personal achievement, you know you did something wrong.

What did I accomplish by 7:30 am? Went to the kitchen at 6:20, had my 2 small glasses of blended fruits & vegetables. Started my workout of 300 crunches, some extremely off balance Yoda……uh….yoga. Let Brewster out, then Kim left for work at 7:30am. I managed to do 20 push ups, some planking & a short “wrestle” with Brewster. I’ll likely do more push ups & crunches later on. Now I’m just really tired at 7:55 am.

“Lip Sync Battle” this week between Emily Blunt & Anne Hathaway.

I think I’m in the very few over 25 that likes Fall Out Boy

Too funny! I hope this link works

Pretty cool story about 2 kids in Winnipeg at a Jets hockey game. The little guy did it right!

I hate knowing an album is done the recording process yet there’s no release date.

I sort of like ‘Slayer’ most of their stuff is good until Kerry King tries to do a guitar solo in the same key as the rest of the song, which never happens.

I can listen to Slayer for about 45 minutes, then I need to listen to something else.

“Faith No More” add UK dates.

Royal Blood live (not metal) 2 guys, a drummer & bass player, they both do vocals. The recent band that I’m really into.

Mumford & Sons North American tour dates

Stream the new ‘Alabama Shakes’ album

So vinyl albums are making a comeback, especially in the UK. GREAT! So people will go out, buy the album if it’s not already on their iTunes, that’s the first thing they’ll do with the record before it gets scratched, listen to the actual vinyl record maybe 5 times, then put it away & a few years down the road they’ll hear it on the radio and think “Hey, I’ve got this on vinyl at home!?!?” and they’ve likely been listening to it on their iPod or iTunes multiple times since they’ve bought the vinyl album.

Vinyl or digital either sound is OK with me. I don’t have the physical space for a vinyl collection. My 600+ CDs are in the closet behind me. So for me I’m all for digital music. I now buy my music on iTunes or I’ve put about 60% of my CDs on iTunes & never touch them.

I got $235 in iTunes gift cards for Christmas in 2013 I believe. 3 hours later, I had $0.05 left on my iTunes account.

Never heard music by “Fast Romantics” I’ve heard their name mentioned before

You know I’m personally against streaming music sites. You want to use them, go ahead. I prefer to own the music I listen to, & be assured that it is mine & be on my iTunes 30 years down the road.

I don’t want to pay for radio either, but I do want to pay for my music. That’s why I’ll always harp on “…let the artists determine the price of their music on iTunes up to $20…”. If they’re comfortable with their lifestyle & make enough cash on tour, drop the price. If it’s a group struggling financially $20 on iTunes won’t matter to most. The CDs behind me likely cost about $22-$25, and there’s roughly 600 of them. Maybe it’s dumb of me? I know that my CDs & iTunes files will be there in the future, unless there’s a theft or fire here. WARNING!!! LANGUAGE!

Baseball stuff. Why do people hate Alex Rodriguez Barry Bonds? Because you both took steroids, got caught then continued to lie about it!

Let me see if I have this right? Gambling on your own team to win as a on field manager get’s you a lifetime ban from anything related to baseball (Pete Rose). Using steroids is OK though & you can be inducted to the Hall of Fame. I guess those are the rules, but I totally disagree with them. Seems backwards to me?

Songs I like. “A Day to Remember” No Mitch I don’t wear skinny jeans when I listen to them. I just don’t wear pants much at all, just boxer briefs, unless somebody’s coming over………………even then it depends on who it is.
