I fell asleep to “Metallica” the album “Hardwired…To Self-Destruct”

I exercised to “Queens of the Stone Age” the album “Villains”

As soon as they got into the meat & potatoes of this song at the show, I think everyone got up to dance.

I severely bruised my left hand Monday evening while lifting a heavy box of CD.  That was the only day I did pushups.  At the moment I can’t put any pressure on my left palm or any finger, other than my index finger & thumb.

I wasted 27 years being afraid of death.  6 days after my 28th birthday, I was in a month long coma.  Me dying, never crossed my mind.  I didn’t see Heaven or Hell when I was unconscious.  I was alone in the Conexus Arts Center (live theater in Regina).  I was in the empty seats & I was with Oprah of all people, does this mean Oprah is a God?  I never pictured Oprah being where ever I was??!!?!  I rarely saw Oprah on TV.  If someone else was watching it, I’d see while going to a different room.

The point of this is, the thought of dying used to scare the crap out of me.  Now, not at all.  I’m not out there looking for death in any way.  I’m not about to become a reckless dare devil.  I’ll just keep doing my thing until my time is up, hopefully that’s in the very distant future.

In no way do I want to die, but I’m not scared of it at all though.  I don’t know where I was?  I know I wasn’t scared though.  In a coma for a month, yet completely calm.  I believe in an afterlife, Heaven & I acknowledge that there may be a place called Hell.

Question is was I “Dead or Dreaming”, I like to think I was dreaming. The following is from “Into Eternity” the album “Dead or Dreaming”

BETTER THAN EZRA

I have their first two albums only.  From the ‘90s while I was in high school.  I saw the video for the song “Good” from their first album & was hooked immediately.  According to http://www.wikipedia.com they’re based in New Orleans, Louisiana.  I bought the first 2 albums on either BMG or Columbia House, buy 12 CDs for a penny then buy 1 for $30.  I jumped “back & forth” between the 2.  From what I can tell on iTunes they have 9 studio albums, a Greatest Hits album, & a live album.

Here are a few songs from Better than Ezra’s first 2 albums.

I fell asleep to “Matthew Good Band” the album “Beautiful Midnight”

Universal remote is on the fritz.  No music while exercising. But I’m listening to a TON of “Dead Sara” & “Devin Townsend Project”

Back to reality this week.  I don’t know about anyone else, but that felt like a very short weekend.  New vegetable smoothie/juice in the morning.  2 ½ cups of water, ½ cup orange juice, ½ container of grape tomatoes, LOADS of fresh spinach, 3 pieces of celery, 1 carrot, & 2 cooked beets.  Really tasty!  Next week I want to add a little ginger.  For breakfast I have that all blended in our Vitamix (1 pitcher a week), a hardboiled egg, a piece of fruit (usually an apple), & a rice cake.  My lunch is 1 week of fish & lemon juice or a week of deli meat turkey wraps with ½ a slice of cheese & a dab of hot sauce.  During the afternoon I have hummus with rice thins, fruit, or some yogurt.  Supper is usually something with quinoa & chicken.

This isn’t a diet!  I like the food I eat, I can maintain this food regiment.  We don’t keep bread, chocolate, chips, or any other type of junk food in the house.  Out of sight out of mind.

Yes I drink alcohol only on the weekend or some time off at home, the lake or visiting relatives out of province.  During the week I drink close to a gallon of water.  My “medication” gives me dry mouth, then I get up to pee once or twice a night.

If it’s a special occasion I’ll have some sugar, whatever is in the baking or ice cream, not much though.  Everything in moderation.

My doctor at the cancer clinic has me on over the counter stuff.  Baby Aspirin, vitamin E, & vitamin C.  I know have to eat breakfast before I exercise.  I take the vitamins 3 times a day, & the Aspirin in the morning with my morning pills.  Yes, I’m 38 years old & have an evening & morning pill case for the week.  YAY…..beats the alternative though!

I’ve been eating this way for roughly 4 years & exercising 5 days a week.  I like this & I feel better than ever.

GRETA VAN FLEET

4 guys out of Detroit.  Here are songs from their album, which is actually 2 EPs they put together & released on iTunes.  They plan to have an album out by the end of the summer.  Yes, the band that will always be instantly compared to Led Zeppelin.

I don’t know why so many people hate them for sounding like a carbon copy of Led Zeppelin.  When you hear the guys voice, BOOM Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin.  You hear the guitar BOOM Jimmy Page.  The drummer & bass player aren’t John Bonham & John Paul Jones.  If the singer’s voice sounds like Robert Plant, wouldn’t you try to create music like Led Zeppelin?

If your singer sounds like another famous singer, go with it & let the kids have fun & make some cash.  If a band is new to the music scene wouldn’t you be inspired or influenced by another, wouldn’t you go with it?  The Beatles, Elvis, The Rolling Stones, Queen, Led Zeppelin, Michael Jackson, U2, etc.  Proven artists that can make a living doing what they like.

I figure there are 2 ways to take this as a Led Zeppelin fan “WHOA, they’re totally ripping off Led Zeppelin!” Or, “Hey, this sounds like Led Zeppelin is creating new music, AWESOME!”

Personally, I have nothing against them & I like their music.  I’ll ride this train as far as it will go.

Songs from their album “From the Fires”

This guy’s complaining about their clothing?  Lay off it, it doesn’t affect the music, might as well look for more imperfections to concern yourself with.

My ranking of their albums worst to first is….

“Era Vulgaris”, “Queens of the Stone Age”, “Rated R”, “Lullabies to Paralyze”, “…Like Clockwork”, “Songs for the Deaf”, & “Villains”

After “Era Vulgaris” it gets quite tricky since the rest are all pretty great.

Disturbed is a band I grew out of & can’t say I miss them aka I’m not in my early 20s anymore.  I own “The Sickness” & “Believe” on CD, then I stopped.

Saw ‘Deadpool 2’ last night.  Much like the first one, there’s a lot of….

It’s a good one, much like the first one that way.  I watched the first “Deadpool” over 3 days last week.  I’ll buy this when it’s out on blu-ray!  I laughed too much & I know I missed a few jokes due to laughing at the previous one, also like the first one, which I’ve easily watched 20-25 times now.

Facebook is bringing a streaming music.  Because you don’t have enough options for that yet.  I think they’re a little late to the party?

The N.Y. Yankees played in Toronto this evening.  Toronto lost again.  I checked the score when I got home.  It’s not pretty, after a 7-2 loss they’re now 26W-34L.

Come the trade deadline on July 31st, they’ll be shopping for prospects while dumping older players who have contracts that expire at the end of the year!  Right now for the 2nd season in a row, they have the oldest average age of players in all of the MLB!

Do you have a question about stage 4 brain cancer?  Ask if you do!

Quiet Mother’s Day.  Over to my parents’ house for BBQ chicken & ribs, avocado salad & potato salad.  Followed by 2 tasty cakes.  Yes, I tried both cakes to make sure they were up to standard for everyone else……You’re welcome, I aim to please!

Lots of people there for supper.  Mom, dad, Kent, Leanne, my cousins Megan Gagnon, Danielle Gagnon, Grandma, Grandpa, aunt Leanne’s parents, Clint & Dorothy White, Mitch, Rachel was at a wedding shower, Kim & I.  I feel as though I’m missing someone?  Sorry, lots of people & 2 dogs, Mac & Goose, Brewster stayed with Sherry & James.

Yes, I have converted my dad into a “Big Wreck”, “Foo Fighters”, & “Royal Blood” fan & now a “Queens of the Stone Age” fan.  I saw “Royal Blood” open for “Foo Fighters” with my father in 2015.  I’ve never seen “Queens of the Stone Age” before this though.  A very quick trip to Calgary to see the show.  Drive on Wednesday, get there in time for supper.  Concert was on Thursday night.  Drove back to Regina on Friday & got here at about 6:00 pm.  A big thank you to my Aunt & Uncle Kent & Leanne Fraser for letting dad & I stay at their house!  Kent is my dad’s younger brother

When we saw Foo Fighters in 2015 my uncle said to me, “So you’ll only come to Calgary if Foo Fighters are in town?”  I should have said this time “Nope, we’ll come for Queens of the Stone Age too!”  In actuality Kim & I might go there for a bit of vacation time during the summer in the next few years.

This is just to show that a guy in a wheelchair can get out & still live a relatively ‘normal’ life with the help of family & friends!  My legs work a bit, so I’ll need help if I’m somewhere new.  By the 2nd day I figured out how to stand at the washroom counter on the main floor & the second floor to brush my teeth & wash my face.  Dad had to help me get to the toilet, not really a big deal?

The concert was FANTASTIC!  Royal Blood now has 2 ten song albums out & Queens of the Stone Age have 7 albums out.  The most recent album was produced by Mark Ronson who released 1 album with guest vocalist including “Uptown Funk” with “Bruno Mars”, I was curious at first just to hear what would come out of the 2 working together and the album was really good, live was even better.  Royal Blood opened…

Queens of the Stone Age were the headliner.  I’m not sure how long Royal Blood played for but they started right at 8:00 pm, which was nice, & Queens of the Stone Age finished right at 11:00 pm.  Short show, but well worth the trip….

I remember more songs they played but that’s quite a few already!  Nice needed break!

Yes, I consider myself a Metallica fan now, a friend of mine is a HUGE fan & lent me the CDs.  I have the studio albums & the live album with the symphony.  I had a few on CD as well.  I totally agree with the musicians having a strong dislike for Napster & now all of these streaming sites.  I personally hate them.  I use iTunes, if I had the physical space I’d start a vinyl collection!  Unless you’re buying a TON of merchandise, alcohol, clothing, or a fragrance released by your favourite artists, that’s the only way they’re able to continue doing what they’re do!  They’re not making money from album sales anymore!  Swedish metal groups Opeth & In Flames have their own brand of beer from Opeth & Gin from In Flames.

https://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/metallicas-kirk-hammett-were-still-right-about-suing-napster-w520290

I used Napster, I downloaded Torrent files for free also.  While I was sick, we’d go to a music store & I’d pick out CDs, 2 a month when I was able to go home for a few hours at night.  I’d ask Kim to purchase the 2 CDs.  “Do you have this already?” she’d ask.  I usually said “Yes, the Torrent file”.  I carried on this way until CDs dropped in price.  Then I started to use iTunes.  I figured, “I was working for a paycheck, why not musicians?”  You’re entitled to get your music however you like.  Maybe it’s different than what I choose to do?  That’s fine with me, I use iTunes & Kim uses Apple Music.  Whatever floats your boat, I use Apple Music to preview an album before I buy it on iTunes.

“Trivium” needs to come back to Saskatoon, as well as “In Flames”.  Not only to play a show there but my “Trivium” & “In Flames” shirts both have a hole in the right armpit.  Now designated as exercise shirts.

Trailer for the movie “Bohemian Rhapsody” AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!  I heard it was in the works & that Sacha Baron Cohen “Borat” was fired when they got into the production, finally it’s here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

http://loudwire.com/first-bohemian-rhapsody-trailer-released/

Mark Tremonti likes “The Cars”?  AWESOME!

I agree.  The Blue Jays are paying $20,000,000 a year for injured short stop, Troy Tulowitzki.  He was good for 2.5 months at the end of 2015 and currently hasn’t played since July of 2017.  His fielding is great, his hitting is more than questionable.  At least it’s not my money!  There’s about 6 rookie short stops waiting in the minor leagues, Tulowitzki has created a road block for.  The Blue Jays got him in the last week of July 2015.  He was good right up to mid-October, & hasn’t been the same since.

Do you have a question about stage 4 brain cancer?  Ask if you do!

Should I be worried that I take the same black & pink pills for heart burn that “Butt Drugs” carries?  Should I take them anally?

Friday was me watching most of the Toronto Blue Jays game.  Kim thinks she’s catching a cold.  Friday she grabbed some medication & went to bed at 8:30 pm I think it was.

Saturday was more of the same.  Woke up, had breakfast.  Kim put in a load of laundry, then she & Brewster had a nap on the couch.  She woke up about an hour or more before the Blue Jay game came on, & went to bed after a Tim Hortons run for soup.

We finished Saturday watching a documentary on Netflix!

This is our lives in our late 30s.

Kim is still sick today.  Brewster was freaked last night.  He jumped off of the bed many times & whined until Kim helped up each time.  He can’t get on our bed without help, he’s vertically challenged!

I guess the power went out, so the smoke detectors were beeping, which he hates.  They beeped again when the power came back on.

I had a weird dream.  I wasn’t sure if I was supposed to go to work or university.  I was late & couldn’t find my calculus text book?  I rode my motorcycle to work & couldn’t find anybody to let me know what needed to be done?

I have never owned or had a desire to ride a motorcycle & a calculus text book is not needed for running a printing press?

Maybe order groceries & get ready for the week, as usual.  FYI I found more T-Shirts that fit!

My music over the weekend “Dead Sara”, “Foo Fighters”, “Queens of the Stone Age”, “Myles Kennedy”, “Into Eternity”, “Third Ion” & “Megadeth”

BIG WRECK

Original line up dropped out of ‘The Berkley School of Music’ to form Big Wreck & released their debut album in 1997.  3 Americans & 1 Canadian, voted to be the singer by band members.  They released their 2nd album in 2001 & broke up the following year.  During this time singer, Ian Thornley, started another group called “Thornley”.  Different label also.  2 albums were released by the group.  Big Wreck reformed with different band members on drums & bass, & original 2nd guitarist.  Big Wreck released their 3rd album in 2012.  I was still in my rehabilitation center, but there was no way I was missing their show in Regina that year.

In total ‘Big Wreck’ has 5 studio releases & a live EP with a studio cover of ‘The Cars’.

Do you have a question about stage 4 brain cancer?  Ask if you do!

I fell asleep to “The Beatles” the album “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” followed by “Metallica” the album “Hardwired………..to Self-Destruct”

Friday ended with me drinking alone & watching the Toronto Blue Jays vs. the Cleveland Indians.  Both had the same win-loss record starting the game which the Blue Jays won 8-4.  The Jays are now 9W-5L.

Saturday we woke up before 8:00 am.  I rolled over & asked Kim what time it was, too early.  Grabbed my iPod Classic, which I’ve almost decided will not be replaced when it dies, then we went back to sleep & I put my iPod back on.  Saturday evening was my dad & brother’s birthday supper at my parent’s place.  Supper, brownies for Mitch, & a Chocolate Extreme Blizzard cake from Dairy Queen for dad.  Good times that went a bit longer than expected.  By 10:00 pm we were all a bit tired & cleared out fast.

The Blue Jay game Saturday in Cleveland was rained out.  Today’s is supposed to be rained out as well.  3 players are currently injured so collectively that’s $54,000,000 worth of players sitting on the bench & the short stop might have a career ending injury.  His contract runs out at the end of the 2020 season.  Teams have insurance incase this type of thing happens.

Typical Sunday for us, getting ready for the week ahead, laundry, groceries, make a vegetable juice, bake some fish, hard boil some eggs, etc.  I’ve got the “American Country Music Awards” recording for Kim.  How on earth did I get stuck with a country music fan?  Country & music don’t even belong in the same sentence most of the time.  Oh wait she HAWT, smart, funny, she loves me, etc.  I do like the Dixie Chicks though.

I don’t play my music when she’s home & she usually does the same.  I find it funny that country “music” has to have it’s own award show, because it doesn’t fit in with the cool kids.  Hahahahahaha!

Before I get into this I should say that “Live’s” albums “Throwing Copper” & “The Distance to Here” are legendary albums for me.

The first band I was in while in University played most of “Lightning Crashes” once in rehearsal, but none of us knew the bridge of the song.  We stopped at the bridge & just never bothered to learn it or play it again, we should have.

2002

QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE & FOO FIGHTERS

I got into “Queens of the Stone Age” when they released their 3rd album “Songs for the Deaf” in 2002 with Dave Grohl on drums for all of the songs & a short tour afterwards.  I was already into Foo Fighters, so to see Dave on drums in a “Queens” video was big for me.  I bought the album ASAP.  I listened to it a LOT & soon bought the previous 2 albums, I was hooked.  I was in SIAST but the “Queens” stuff was in a low tuning.  I learned some of it, but it was just a hassle to switch tunings on my guitar for “Queens” stuff & regular tuning for rehearsal.  Foo Fighters released their 4th album on Kim’s birthday that year in October.  Not their best album but also not their worst, but I’m biased when it comes to Foo Fighters……….

Dave Grohl played drums on this album & Elton John played piano on at least a few songs!

Godsmack is still around?  I didn’t even know?  I was never a fan though anyways.

http://loudwire.com/godsmack-when-legends-rise-title-track/

Top 10 Tool songs according to Watchmojo.com.  I wouldn’t put them in any category, especially metal.

LANGUAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!         Any Tool fan that enjoys marijuana, doesn’t need to bring any to a Tool show, the rest of the audience will get you high on second hand smoke & the crowd also doubles as a fog machine for the band.

I think this guy is over a decade younger than me.  Although he says this ranking of “Muse” albums are just his opinion.

For me it would be “Showbiz”, “The Resistance”, “Drones”, “The 2nd Law”, “Origin of Symmetry”, “Absolution”, & finally “Black Holes & Revelations”.  I guess our opinions aren’t that far off after all.

I fell asleep to “Metallica” the album “Kill ‘em All”

I exercised to “Stone Temple Pilots” the album “Stone Temple Pilots (2018)”

I had to clean up after Brewster, just missed his pad.  Washed my hands & had breakfast while listening to “Queens of the Stone Age” the album “Songs for the Deaf”

Exercise weekly total; 700 pushups, 490 leg lifts, 350 crunches, 210 tricep pushups, 210 squats, & 140 back flexes.  Odd week 1 day of no exercise & 1 day of half the amount of repetitions.

My father’s cousin died on Tuesday.  Kim & I would see him sleeping in his wheelchair when I was on the 2nd floor of the WRC.  He was born with Down syndrome.  Sad to see anybody die but his quality of life wasn’t that great.

We met a guy named Nick while I was in the Wascana Rehabilitation Center, super nice guy.  I’m pretty sure he wasn’t mentally handicapped but he was born physically handicapped.  He was in music therapy as well.  He recorded an album with help from the same music therapist I saw for a bit.  He played the drums on his album they made, she sang on it.  As far as the bass & guitar, I assume it was the music therapist.  I was impressed he could play the drums!  My kick drum leg wasn’t all that strong, I could get it to the kick drum, I just couldn’t keep my foot down.  It would hit the drum twice & my left hand is all but useless.  He probably doesn’t get out of his wheelchair much since he is severely physically handicapped.

He would see Kim & I in the cafeteria for lunch & always come to chat with us.  If he & I were having a conversation, Kim was our interpreter I was/am hard to understand & so was he.

He’s a really joyful guy to be around.  The rest of the people I saw & heard were very bitter about being there or whatever it was that put them there.  I was more on the bitter side of things.  I tried to keep it in.  I really leaned on Kim.

When I do my exercise “every morning”, lately, at least this year, I think to myself “Hurry up, do more, this is affecting a PILE of other people, not just Kim & I!  Hurry up & get better!”  That’s just the pressure I put on myself.  Nobody has ever said to me that I’m not trying hard enough, just me.

GRUNGE

I was born in 1980.  My parents weren’t into the GLAM metal scene going on in L.A.  It was basically a free pass, I got to choose what I wanted to hear.  Mom was into pop music & dad was into “Dire Straits”, “Jimmy Buffet” & whatever else popped up.  I do remember really liking “Fine Young Cannibals”.  I bought that CD just before I was diagnosed with brain cancer.  I was in high school when the entire “grunge” deal went down.  I was 8 or 9 years late to that party.  Now that’s my go to music.  I also played flute in the high school band & was recruited to join the choir, they needed more male voices for the 4 part harmonies.  When “grunge” was all the rage in the early 1990s, I couldn’t stand it.  I was really into Canadian bands who played the same type of music.  “I Mother Earth”, “The Inbreds”, “Our Lady Peace”, “Matthew Good Band”, “The Tea Party”, etc.  I ended up singing for what was basically a cover band.

I was at a bar with Chris Messer from the call center I worked at.  He was also a singer in a band.  He heard “Alice in Chains” playing over the P.A.  Yes, “Man in the Box” he turned to me & said “You guys should do this song.”  I replied “That vocal is very high.  I don’t know if I can hit those notes?”  After numerous rehearsals I did it!

Originally I was a 2nd bass singer, the really low notes in the 4 part harmonies in choir.  I think that song changed my vocal range.  After that song, my voice was going through a 2nd puberty.  I’d be speaking & my voice would crack.  Then I became a grunge fan.  Grunge & rock with some Metallica was what we played.

Our goal was to play “Beerfest” put on by the Engineering Society.  500 people, I found it nerve racking to play in front of that many people….for a bit.  Once we had played a few songs & we were in a groove all of the anxiety went away.  I was really into the Canadian response of grunge though at the time.  I had a lot of the grunge albums, didn’t listen to them much though, until needed.  Somehow I bought a metal, Into Eternity, album before I was into American grunge…..

We didn’t play all of the songs mentioned, that’s more of just what I was into at the time.  Our motto was “If somebody isn’t bleeding by the end of the night, we’re not trying hard enough”.  That was a weird way of gauging how the shows went.

Will Axl Rose continue with AC/DC?

Yes, I watched “Justice League” again this week over 2 days this week.  Critics hated it, SURPRISE!  That’s really just a fancy title for someone who gets paid to watch movies if you ask me.  I guess I would be a terrible movie critic, since I enjoy the DC movies.  Yes I like the Marvel movies too.

I’m all about “Laid to Rest” with “Lamb of God”

I fell asleep to “Smashing Pumpkins” the album “Siamese Dream” followed by “Soundgarden” the album “Superunknown”

I exercised to “Foo Fighters” the album “Wasting Light”

During breakfast I listened to “Headstones” the album “Teeth & Tissue”

Had my breakfast & immediately threw it up.  Still feeling fine.

On to empty the dishwasher to “Led Zeppelin” the album “Physical Graffiti”

All is fine, now I’ll hit the shower!

Yesterday was a wasted day, all of my bones & joints were really sore?  I was fine Monday.  Tuesday it was just unbearable though.  Today was better, but still a little tender.  I did half the amount of all of my exercises (just to be safe).  I don’t want to have too many days where I’m not doing something, just makes it more difficult to ramp it up again.

When I went to bed Saturday night for some reason my legs just had a terrible ache.  For a bit there I thought “How does a 38 year old have growing pains?”  I don’t know what it was but I felt fine when I woke up.  I guess it was a glimpse into the near future

I really don’t remember much/anything of 2008.  Apparently I was in a world of pain when I was awake for an hour every day.  My mother & Kim tell me it’s best that I don’t remember.  The little I do remember is that radiation & MRIs suck if you’re extremely claustrophobic like I am.  I can’t remember how long a session of radiation or the length of an MRI was but wow, so not for me.  At least I came out of it well!  Each time I went for an MRI they’d give me a bean bag to throw if something was wrong.  I must have been the worst person to have an MRI done.  Each time I would throw the bean bag because I was terrified, so the bean bag, idea worked once then they must have thought I was the boy that called wolf?  It came to a point that I asked one of my nurses if she could just knock me out before I went into the MRI.  The Benadryl didn’t work the last few times though.  Heights & small spaces are 2 of my big phobias.

Ellen Degeneres is coming to Calgary for a Q & A.  Kim & I would love to go, but somebody, me, is going to far too many concerts this year & we are attending a wedding in Manitoba.  Also, if Kim’s not at work, she doesn’t get paid.  She’s working under contract, no benefits, vacation pay, or sick leave.  I was considering selling my tickets to one of them, but I don’t know if upgrading two tickets in the wheelchair section is possible?  I also bought those tickets for the reason that I WANT to go to the concerts.  I pulled all of the leaves off of our money tree with large portions of the branches too.  I’m terrible with money, but I’m Scottish I should be cheap?  Not with music though.

PEARL JAM

Summer of 1998 I became a fan of Pearl Jam.  I bought the album “Yield” that was released in February of 1998.  I had a summer job, installing air conditioning in a senior’s home with a Tinsmith & his son who was also going into engineering in September at the U of R.  We’d start early at 5 am because the attic would get incredibly hot in the afternoon.  Every morning & afternoon while driving to & from work I was listening to that Pearl Jam album, then I’d play it at home as I fell asleep for a nap.  I went to a music store & bought the previous albums by Pearl Jam.  I couldn’t get enough of them.  “Yield” is one of my top 4 Pearl Jam albums, one of my go to Pearl Jam albums.  I wouldn’t say that I’m a hardcore fan of PJ, but I do like Pearl Jam.  I’ve seen them twice in Saskatoon in 2005 & 2011 while going through my rehab, even saw my physiotherapist at the 2011 show.  The albums “Ten”, “VS”, “Vitalogy”, & “Yield” are my favourites of their HUGE catalogue………..

While we’re talking about Dave Grohl, let’s listen to this guy explaining how “Everlong” was written & recorded.

This makes it sound far more difficult than needed or how you can cut out a PILE of stuff & play it’s bare bones live, still works!

New “Queens of the Stone Age” video

I hope “Lamb of God” never let “Burn the Priest” see the light of day.  That album is terrible.  I had it, listened to it once & haven’t heard it since.  They used to be called “Burn the Priest” & released one album under that name.  You know it’s a bad “Lamb of God” album if I can’t tolerate it.
