Kim was running a bit late this morning so while she got ready to leave @ 7:00 am, I came out of our room @ 6:30 & got through 1/2 of my exercise. I get up & just get it out of the way.

I guess I should do a more in depth weekend update? Kim’s parents were here, I always like seeing them. They’re FANTASTIC people, that raised 3 great kids. Friday evening we ordered supper from “East Side Mario’s” & just watched some TV. Saturday everyone went shopping, I’m not big on shopping, I stayed home. Later on in the afternoon we went to Kim’s older sister’s place (Sherry & James’ place to hang out & visit. Sherry fired up the BBQ & made burgers for us all! Sunday was our day to do some cleaning & other stuff so Kim could be ready for the week. I showered, Kim buzzed my head as usual, so that I look like “Powder”. I cleaned what I could & tried to go as quickly as I could to watch a movie at my parents place in the home theater room in the basement. We watched “Deadpool” not “Powder”

Deadpool is an R rated action/comedy movie & definitely not for kids!

OK, that baseball game yesterday was laughable 13-3 for the visiting Tampa Bay Rays? Now I know what other teams fan base felt like against the Toronto Blue Jays in August & September last year. Good thing they had those fights with Texas on Sunday, it really made the team better & the millionaires will get their suspensions today, that will really help matters. Bautista & Encarnacion’s contracts are finished with the Jays at the end of the season. At this point, I don’t think I’d offer either of them a contract. Let someone else pick up the dead weight. Aren’t most sports a business of “What have you done for me lately?”? Bautista & Encarnacion haven’t done much of anything this year so far. The dollar amount for their contracts seems to be getting much smaller with each game.

^^I hope they all feel better now after they lost that game? A broken bone will heal, a suspension/fine will pass a WIN is forever.

Now it’s wait & see who’s suspended & how many people are allowed to be on the field. Each team has a 25 man roster. I counted about 4 people who will likely be suspended & fined.

REMEMBERANCE DAY IN CANADA

“In Flanders Field”

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/In_Flanders_Fields#Poem

I hope all of the Canadians out there are wearing their poppies!

http://globalnews.ca/saskatoon/videos/

This is how Canada thanks the veterans in November. If I could I’d wear a poppy year ’round but then it wouldn’t mean as much. If you get a month for breast cancer & Movember for men’s cancer. Why not an entire month wearing a poppy? Equally as important? Instead we wear a poppy from November 1st to the 11th no poppies tomorrow. Either way, THANK YOU to those that have died protecting our country!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I went to a beer tasting last night with my dad at the Willow Park liquor store. Yes I wore my poppy! 18 steps up to the tasting area. Probably sampled 20+ different flavours/brands of beer. $25.00 come sample beer for an hour & a half. Then get 5% off with your ticket of whatever you want in the store. It’s not a huge place like the Calgary location, but there are different brands & flavours I’ve never had! We didn’t drive to or from the beer tasting. Kim & my mom dropped us off & my brother picked us up & helped me down the stairs. No, I wasn’t launched off the top step in my wheelchair!

Do I care if I see a “moon” onstage? As long as I don’t see any other nudity that’s fine with me!

I’m hopeful to see Trivium, who I’ve seen 3 times but twice with technical issues, in Saskatoon as well as Lamb of God, who I’ve seen once!

New “Halestorm” music video for the song “I am the Fire” I just saw tour dates, Moose Jaw on Tuesday, Saskatoon on Wednesday.

Songs I like, “Third Ion” The most delicate/weird but good metal I have ever heard. When the album kicks off with a “Mega Man” song from the original Nintendo/NES, you know you’re in for a weird ride!! Yes, Justin Bender, guitarist, is a former member of “Into Eternity”. Both “Into Eternity” & “Third Ion” are Regina based bands.
