The more you share this, the more readers I get.  No, I’m not profiting from this in any way.

Disappointing?  The site had 10 viewings by 6 people from Canada & Italy.  On Facebook we hit 59 views.  I can’t tell who’s reading this but thank you!  The low numbers tell me a possibility of 2 things.  Not many people are reading it or if you’ve subscribed it doesn’t count towards a viewing.  Again, I can’t make each post a winner!  Oh well.  As long as you’re getting what you’re here for, numbers don’t really matter.

I don’t want to overload you with links, pick what you want to know about & feel free to skip the other stuff.  The www.youtube.com links are there for a point of reference if you don’t know what I’m talking about.

Don’t feel as though you have to open every link.

I fell asleep to “Queens of the Stone Age” the album “Lullabies to Paralyze”

I exercised to “Portal” the album “Blood Red Tape”.  Tool & A Perfect Circle fans listen up!

They’re an independent band from Calgary, Alberta, Canada.  https://itunes.apple.com/ca/album/blood-red-tape/id292933756

I’m here as much as I need a break from this thing!  I’ve upped my sets of pushups & I’m “exhausted”, & I still have stuff to do around the house.  Other than Mondays, I get excited & think to myself “Yay, it’s Friday!!!!!”  Then I snap back to reality & think “Ah, fudge sickle it’s Tuesday”.  Each day is a little more difficult than the day before & by Friday, I’m living on coffee.  Even on Monday I was tired, the only reason I got up was because I had to pee, or else I would have stayed in bed.

I look forward to the weekend as much as most people do.  I may not work a 40 hour work week.  Between exercise & stuff around the house, I keep myself pretty busy.  When Friday comes around I’m relieved that it’s the weekend.

Not much in the pop-culture news.  Some orange guy is hoarding ALL of the news.

Foo Fighters & Rick Astley?  LANGUAGE!!!!!!!  AUDIO/VIDEO IN THE LINK

Does this mean that Rick Astley is the surprise guest on the new Foo Fighters album?  One is Paul McCartney drumming on a song but they’re not letting anyone know who the second guest is?

Britney Spears covers Bonnie Raitt’s “Something to talk about”

At Fenway Park they always sing “Sweet Caroline” during the 7th inning stretch.  This is the best version I’ve seen!

I can’t wait for the new ‘Queens of the Stone Age’ album “Villains” on Friday.  I don’t sleep a ton.  I’ll see if iTunes has fixed the mistake on their end & grab it Thursday evening.  I preordered it on iTunes, but the second single didn’t come through for me.  I called the iTunes support line, they told me they had never seen that problem before?  Friday, I might be on the phone all day?

The album was produced by Mark Ronson.  The same guy that produced this little hit song.

Movies I’d like to see…

But is it real?  Multiple re-writes & directors.  If it is real, get ready for the world to tell you how bad it was.  Like Batman vs. Superman, or Nickelback, everybody talks about how awful the movie or music is but both have made millions of dollars.  So who’s spending money on them?  I love Batman vs. Superman, & they have my money.  I have watched that movie at least 15 times!

I fell asleep to “Metallica” the new album “Hardwired…………to self-destruct”, woke up to pee & listened to “Big Wreck” the album “Grace Street”

I exercised to “In Flames” the album “Colony”

I did 200 crunches yesterday & 200 today.  My abs really hurt, how on earth was I doing 1500 a day with no pain?

Kim’ stomach is fine.  She’s trying to figure out what it is that bothers her for a day or 2 a week.  She doesn’t get sick, she just has an annoying stomach every now & then.  She’s exercising a bit as well.  She went for a ½ hour run on Sunday, in the exercise room here on the treadmill.

I’m doing some of my exercises, & still stretching my sciatic nerve mostly.  I’m doing a fraction of my crunches & some of my leg lifts.  My daily goal for crunches each day won’t be 1500, it will be a little bit less when I reach it, and 1300 is what I’ll build up to.  I gotta say that doing my exercises feels more normal for me.  Back into my routine a bit, it feels much better!

Ed Sheeran’s performing at the Brit Awards

The Agonist shared it again………………….

I have nothing good to say about Trump.  Now he’s ruined award shows.

Blink 182 on tour in the USA this spring

Well it’s official!  I have an addiction…………………to music.  The “Big Wreck” album “Grace Street” was released on Friday.  As of Monday evening I’ve listened to it 13 times on my iPod & likely 5-8 times through our stereo.  Another reason I don’t play my music on the stereo when Kim’s home!

New “Queens of the Stone Age” this year……………….AWESOME!!!!

Walk off the Earth shared it….

What happens when you put Metallica in one hand, Lady Ga Ga in the other & then put those hands together?  I don’t know but we’ll all find out at the Grammy Awards.

A Perfect Circle is going on tour from April 6 – May 7

I may be listening to Big Wreck quite a bit, but I try to listen to as much music as possible!  Alter Bridge, In Flames, The Pretty Reckless, Metallica, Bruno Mars, Ascot Royals, Our Lady Peace, The Agonist, Into Eternity, Portal, Lamb of God, Judah & the Lion, Diemonds, etc.  Like every Tool fan I’m waiting patiently for a new album.

A follow up to the 2006 release “10,000 Days” by Tool would be more than welcome.

Being politically correct is really not for me, but there it is for you!

Nothing but Thieves – Self Titled.  I’d put this as my number 1 album of the year!  This is not a metal album!

Stitched Up Heart – Never Alone.  This & Alter Bridge are in a dead heat for number 2 on my list

Alter Bridge – The Last Hero

From here on everything’s tied for 3rd place!

Rob Zombie – The Electric Warlock Acid Witch Satanic Orgy Celebration Dispenser.  LANGUAGE!!!!

Ben Harper – Call It What It Is

Candlebox – Disappearing in Airports

In Flames – Battles

Third Ion – Biolith

Opeth – Sorceress

Sum 41 – 13 Voices

Anthrax – For All Kings

Highly Suspect – The Boy Who Died Wolf LANGUAGE!!!!!!!  The more I listen to this album, the more I like it!

The Pretty Reckless – Who You Selling For?

The 1975 – I like it when you sleep, for you are so beautiful yet so unaware of it

Tremonti – Dust

The Agonist – Five

Chevelle – The North Corridor

Green Day – Revolution Radio

Scream – Fumble (Dave Grohl’s group before Nirvana)

Oasis – Be Here Now & Definitely Maybe

Barenaked Ladies – Live @ Red Rocks

Taylor Hawkins – Kota EP

Lamb of God – The Duke EP

Portal – Blood Red Tape.  Independent group from Alberta, Canada, I think?  They remind me of Tool.

Vinyl Hero – 7 days on a train EP.   Another independent group from somewhere in Canada, I believe?

Candlebox – Love Stories & Other Musings

It’s not that I don’t like EPs or Live albums.  EPs leave me wanting a full album of at least 10 songs & live albums are pretty much a live album of Greatest Hits.

Diemonds – Never Wanna Die

Diemonds – The Bad Pack

Metallica – Hardwired to Self-Destruct

Bruno Mars – 24K Magic

I’d have to agree with the review.  There is nothing I should like about this album.  In the end, I love it & I don’t know why?

Boston – Boston

The Damned Things – Ironiclast

When the Holidays are over & Kim gives me the OK, I’ll purchase these albums.  If Apple goes under my purchased files are mine.  I, personally refuse to “download” streaming music aka Apple’s not taking away my music!  It’s a free country use a streaming site however you like.  Of course I’ll buy these gradually, unless we can make it rain with iTunes gift cards in January……………I doubt it!  Only took Metallica 33 years to release something original that I like & listen too.  Hahahaha!  I have 2 other Christmas albums.  Those aren’t buy now albums.

Just because I can!!!!!!!!!!!

My questions for anyone reading this.  What were your preferred album(s) this year?  Also, how would you classify Alter Bridge?  Are they rock, metal or right on the line between both genres?  I really want to hear from anyone reading this.  I’m not the judge of what’s good or bad.  Maybe you’re not a fan of rock or metal, that’s fine with me, I used to be completely against music with a distorted electric guitar involved, so please let me know?

P.S.  Everyone has a hate on for 2016.  Each day you wake up with a clean slate.  The decisions YOU make that day will dictate how the day goes, & some decisions will be made by others that will affect you.  Make your decision every day to focus on what makes you & others happy aka let’s make 2017 FANTASTIC!

I fell asleep to “Nothing but Thieves” the entire album then “Portal” the album “Blood Red Tape”

I exercised to “Lamb of God” the album “As the Palaces Burn”

“Nothing but Thieves” reminds me a lot of “The Bends” album by Radiohead.  Portal reminds me of “Tool”.  That’s very high praise if you ask me.

I’ve change the numbers for my exercises.  Crunches are the same, but everything else has changed.

I don’t think of myself as physically disabled.  Sure there are things I’ve tried doing multiple times where the effort doesn’t live up to the reward.  There are many things that I can do though.  Example, Kim puts the junk food she buys on the top shelf of the pantry.  If I can see it, I’m able to stand up holding the door frame for balance & “bye, bye, bye” junk food!                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  If I’ve tried doing something with maximum effort & I still find it difficult, it goes on the back burner to try again later.

I’d do more but that’s a TON of links to load. Sorry if they double, I’ll try to fix them but no guarantee? My back is annoying but I increase my exercise to my “normal” total daily!

I fell asleep to 2 albums, the 2 most recent albums by “Candlebox” first “Love Stories & Other Musings” from 2012. Then the album “Disappearing in Airports” released in April of 2016. Woke up in the middle of the night to pee, gotta stop that, & put on “Chevelle” the new album “The North Corridor”

I exercised to “Portal” the album “Blood Red Tape” My brother was listening to them in his car when we were with him. I think he said they’re an independent group from Alberta?

They have 3 albums on iTunes at the moment. This is the only one I’ve purchased so far.

This is for anyone & everyone who might find this interesting! Please help me out if you don’t mind? I’ve been sharing this publically on my page, I don’t think it’s helping? Please do what you can to spread the word?

Brain cancer & ALS aren’t a competition. This is how I look at it though, in my situation. I could have survived or died because of brain cancer. I don’t know much about ALS. From what I know, it ends poorly, to put it lightly. Surviving brain cancer I can work on things, everything. You can look at that as overwhelming or just start somewhere & chip away at it as long as you can. ALS, from what I know, is more of a “OH MY GOODNESS! What’s going to go first?” Once it’s gone you can’t really do anything about it, that would be terrifying to me! Sure I felt overwhelmed & angry at first, but I’m alive, I can work on myself, mentally & physically. Eventually it COULD be fine? Sure the odds are stacked against me. Do you gamble? The odds are stacked against anyone in a casino playing any game. I’m alive, it could be worse.

I have to admit, after 2 weeks of just stretching & resting my back, it’s difficult to get back into my routine of exercise, food, blog, TV. For years that was easy, sweaty, but easy & somewhat gratifying. I had never enjoyed exercising, especially cardio! I can ride an exercise bike forever, walking with my walker seems like too much effort for very little gain to me. When I lived at my parents place the recumbent exercise bike was in the basement. I’d pop in a “Lord of the Rings” movie & pedal for 3 hours no problem, I can still bike for an hour or more.

I get that musicians want to share what influenced them by doing a cover song. I loved playing cover songs live! That meant I didn’t have to write lyrics, just remember better lyrics. Foo Fighters do this for the majority of their B Sides on singles. You get a single from the album, a live song & either a cover song or a song that was cut from the album. Here are some original songs followed by their cover song by someone else. Some are good, some are OK, some are terrible, & some are “OK, why mess with a classic?”

Almost forgot about this one!

^^All of this is just off the top of my head!
