I fell asleep & woke up to “Dream Theater” the album “The Astonishing”. I waited until shortly after 10:00pm & got it then went to bed. It’s not your typical “Dream Theater” with 9 songs averaging 10 minutes in length. Double album 34 songs in total & most songs are 4 minutes long. The longest is almost 8 minutes. There was a lot more orchestral music on it also. I’d say it’s a really good album!

I exercised to “Eve 6” all 4 albums on shuffle.

Exercise total for the week! 40 leg lifts om my back, 40 leg lifts on my hands & knees, 150 squats, 120 pushups, 1260 crunches, 580 meters walking one day no rest periods. Did I enjoy it? No, but you do what you gotta do! When we were going to the field house on a flat surface I do 800 meters with 2 rest periods. After the first 200 meters then after the following 400 meters, then I’d finish up with the last 200 meters. This doesn’t count the long side walk into & out of the building. Our parking garage has slops for the drain. It’s not a flat surface.

I go to to share these links & if they’re brand new it tells me to not embed them? This musician doesn’t want me to promote their new song, video, or album? Why is it on then? Police are going to arrest me because I shared a link? Either way, you’re welcome.

I was fine Monday, I’ve been tired all week since Tuesday morning. I would have liked to have just sat on my butt all week, that never happens unless I declare a break.

“Serenity” premier new song and music video. Let’s learn together, I’ve never heard of them?

I don’t watch much NHL at all because most people watch it for the fighting & big body checks. Nobody wants to see this happen to any official in any sport. Really how idiotic is this? It happened on Wednesday, January 27th. If I was commissioner of the league “Bye, you’re done FOREVER”. I saw this as a highlight on Sportsnet.

I think I’m on a “Dream Theater” kick…….poor Kim!

“Filter” have a single & a new album on the way. New single inside the link. The song below is from their first album released in 1995.

Pentatonix shared it…..

“…I did it again…” woke up thinking it was Saturday. Then came to the horrible realization that it’s only Tuesday/.

Poor Donna! This must be what Kim feels like some days….

Guess who’s been involved with this crap against multiple teams this year? Hint-(It’s not the Blue Jays) If the umpire hadn’t issued the warning in the first inning this wouldn’t have happened in the 8th inning! Unwritten rule in baseball, “You hit our guy, we hit your guy.” Then each team get’s a warning & nothing happens from then on. This is NOT an intentional hit, it hit his shin. Not his back, shoulder or hip. If a pitcher chooses to throw at someone, they make it count & deliver a clear message!

There are unwritten rules everywhere, not just in baseball. “Honey, do these pants make my butt look fat?” unwritten rule it’s always “No, you look FANTASTIC IN EVERYTHING” Kim has never asked me that & doesn’t need to ever. But if you answer incorrectly you’ll spend an eternity trying to dig yourself out of a hole that you may just end up making bigger & never get out of. This unwritten rule applies to anyone & everyone in a relationship. One of those rules no one will tell you directly how to answer, something you’ll hear in passing or find out the hard way. Good luck out there & “Keep your stick on the ice”-Red Green

Metal fans get a bad reputation because of the music we like. Not every metal fan or band member is a flat out metal head though. The metal musicians and fans are some of the kindest people I’ve met. I’m in a wheelchair. When I go to The Exchange to see a local metal band play, TONS of people stop & say hello, shake my hand, chat for a bit, help me out if needed, hold open a door, etc. Nobody goes out of their way to be harmful to anyone. There’s a bad seed in every crowd so I don’t necessarily hang around those people. The people I know that play or listen to aggressive music won’t judge you on what you listen to for music. They know others can instantly judge them by their metal music. I’m not afraid to tell anyone what I listen to. Here’s a few examples of what I listen to….

It’s subjective. A song does not have an influence as to who you are! You like it because you like it, so why hide it? The only music fans I’ve met who don’t consider their music offensive are country music fans. It doesn’t bother me, I do enjoy a small sampling of country music here & there. It’s a lot like extremely heavy metal. Good for a bit, but not for more than one album a day. Slayer is as offensive as a Southern twang country artist to me! Kim was listening to “The Help” audio book on the way to who knows where, too much twang for me. I’m not trying to rattle anyone’s cage in particular, these are just off the top of my head examples……

I did it! I watched “Silence of the Lambs” with Kim. I put on my big boy pants, sucked it up & just asked Kim to hold me when I got scared. I haven’t watched that movie in over a decade. It’s not that freaky of a movie, but when they show Anthony Hopkins in a straight jacket & the brown muzzle/mask, I pee a little then curl up into the fetal position. Anything with Anthony Hopkins in it gives me the HEEBIE JEEBIES now! Blue Jays play a late game tonight. I’ll likely sit through a sequel, then watch the game?

I’ll tell you right off the bat, I DON’T VOTE OR FOLLOW POLITICS OR & here’s why. I get a kick out of watching greasy scum bags doing commercials to “help” their campaign by telling you the opposition can’t do this or that. Whoever’s commercial it is will promise you the moon though. I have 0 desire to sift through the nonsense & ballyhoo as to who I’d vote for. When politicians can honestly tell me how & what they can do then I’ll consider voting? Here’s 2 examples of what I’ve seen right out of the gate……

Axl Rose loves the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles more than being on time for a concert! Hahahaha!

Pets, furry cuddly pets!

Stone Temple Pilots are touring in the USA, no word of a full length album with Chester Benninton. They released a video in January saying they were 95% done recording the album, so where is it?

That’s a big statement from a guy who just released a disappointing album. LANGUAGE!!!

The world has gone crazy. OK people 30 & up. In elementary school did or high school. Did you ever hear the word “Jihad” or “ISIS”? They’re new to me since GWB was president. Do I care what religion, if any, a person follows? Not at all! No we live in a world where there are “Holy wars”, WHY?

Lollapalooza full line up for 2015. A pile of bands I haven’t heard of after Sam Smith.

Too bad Sam Smith has to pay royalties to Tom Petty. If you take Tom Petty’s song & make the 3 chords flat and slower you get the Sam Smith song. At least they settled out of court.

Billy Corgan, sorry, William Corgan says the future of “Smashing Pumpkins” is murky

Song of the week according to this website

I hate the word “jam” in reference to playing music with other musicians. I don’t & never did “jam” with other musicians. “Jam” is what I put on toast, that is all.

If you like “Paramore” you may like “Marmozets”

At least Scott Weiland admitted his mistake & apologized for it.

I totally agree! I like the hunt/search for new bands or albums.

I think Foo Fighters’ “The Colour & The Shape”, Radiohead’s “The Bends” “OK Computer”, Nirvana’s “Nevermind”, Pearl Jam’s “Ten”, Beck’s “Mellow Gold”, & Soundgarden’s “Superunknown” are all going to be among the classic rock albums of the 1990s joined by many more. Not the best albums of the ’90s but the most popular.

^^Same album as the song “Breed”.

What do I mean by The Pool? My physiotherapist took me to the pool in the WRC to teach me how to walk. The pool is warm there almost like you were having a warm bath not urine! For roughly a year that’s where I went for physiotherapy. 5 feet of water, a hand rail and my physiotherapist there since I didn’t/don’t have any sense of balance that’s why I’m in a wheelchair and why we have 2 “Stripper poles” here, one by the couch & one by the bed. When Kim comes home from work I give her a little dance! We also have a grab bar in each of our 2 washrooms to help me. I can stand as long as I hold on to something. I shower in a shower seat. I use the grab bar in our on suite washroom to get in & out of the shower. Like I said I can do a TON of thing other people can, I just have to do them differently. It takes me about 15 minutes to shower once I’m in & Kim doesn’t have to help me or even be here if I’m in the shower. We have a walk in shower in our on suite washroom. The main washroom has a bath tub in it.

I did hit a small achievement today, I beet my record of crunches & did 260 today along with some planking, yoga & 40 push ups as usual. My shirts are beginning to be be too small A) Because of my stubborn belly and B) my chest & shoulders.

Songs I like. I have to skip a few like The Commitments soundtrack & Corrosion of Conformity. Only because I haven’t given them a good listen to yet. I’ve listened to them but not recently, & I like what I hear. So here’s some “Counting Crows” for you.

I listened to the 2nd album a TON when it came out. Still listen to it a bit, like once every 2 months. All I have on my computer are these 2 CDs, I think I have 2 more that I wasn’t a fan of?
