I fell asleep to “Myles Kennedy” the album “Year of the Tiger”.

I exercised to “Chromeo” 2 albums on shuffle.

No new wheelchair yet!

Yep, I have little moments of anxiety.  I really don’t like meeting new people while I’m in this wheelchair with an iPatch.  On the flip side of this I’m not even 40 yet, so I’m way too young to not meet new people.  What causes my anxiety?  I couldn’t tell you, because I have no idea?  I know that nobody stares at me in public or anywhere else.

Lately I just always feel as though I don’t fit in, which is a double edged sword for me.  I don’t want to be like anyone else, but I also want to feel accepted (which I know I am).  It’s all in my head.

It’s me thinking “I’m here, now what can I do to speed up my recovery?  I’m not at the point that I can move on, so what do I do now?  This exercising is getting redundant, not easy but redundant.”  Sure I mix up my exercises daily, but that’s not enough.  I need a break, but I don’t like having an extended break.  If it’s a break that’s 5 or more days, it makes my exercises more difficult when I start again.  That being said 5 days is not a long enough break.

I could be that we had multiple visitors last week, & that was a welcome change of pace but now it’s back to the regular routine again?  Whatever it is, it’s in my head.  NOBODY has done anything to cause this, it’s just me in a slump.

I’ll likely get some hate from this but this is my view on millennials, as an outsider.

The average age for a kid to get a cell phone is 6 years old, WHY?  I’m 38 & I don’t need a cell phone.  I had a cell phone before I had cancer, it certainly didn’t save my life, & I don’t miss it at all.  If I had a kid that wanted a cell phone, they would be more than welcome to get one, with some rules in place.  Rule number 1, get a job & buy your own phone, rule 2, when the kid comes home from school, the phone goes away until the homework is done & supper is cleaned up.  Until that’s finished, no phone.  Final rule, if the kid’s in a room with other people, the phone disappears.  I’m 38 & a cell phone for myself would feel like a HUGE waste of money.  Did your parents take a phone call when someone was over?  I always heard “Can I call you back later?  We have company over right now.”  Why does that not apply to today’s world?  Texting is the same if you ask me.  Relax the text will be there still, try some etiquette?   That’s just me though & my opinion.

As for streaming music, I get the appeal, it’s out there & legal.  My iPod, 160 gig classic still works, but it does not work for streaming music.  In this case I’m either going to pay hundreds of dollars for an iPhone or iPod touch or roughly $200 for a decent vinyl player & a vinyl collection?  I’m leaning heavily towards vinyl & when my iPod dies there will be no replacement for it.  Napster was free when it first appeared & I like iTunes.  That album you’ve been streaming for a year now has cost you $120 since last year when you got it.  I paid $9.99 once & I haven’t paid to hear it again.  For me streaming music is a wolf disguised in sheep’s clothing.  I’d much rather pay once & own it.

Do you really think musicians will go along with streaming music where they can make $0.05 per stream?  Musicians prior to this streaming fad were loaded with cash, but now musicians are basically working for free.  Remember that this is my opinion & you have every right to your opinion.

Well millennials are taking away my option to buy cheap music.  They’re convinced streaming music is a better option?  I guess anyone using a streaming music site doesn’t want to OWN their music.  “Thank you” millennials for ruining a good idea.  Apple could easily keep the iTunes option if they’re still offering the streaming/Apple Music service.  Same technology I assume?

Just let it play multiple videos regarding millennials in the work place!

This is another stereotype that has exceptions, like all stereotypes.

This won’t happen.  Tuition is not free, most of us have had to pay tuition!  I hope she’s not taking economics!

I didn’t search this subject on this is just what was on there!

I was always told if you want something you have to work for it.  I was born in 1980 & my brother was born in 1987.  He was told the same as I was.  He’s not a stereotypical millennial.  I’ve never considered my younger cousins a stereotypical millennials either.  I’m the oldest cousin on my dad’s side of the family & among the 4 oldest on my mother’s side.  I don’t think it’s the kids fault?  As a parent maybe treat your kids the same way you were raised?  I’m not a parent for that reason.  I don’t think I have it in me to be a responsible parent & raise a responsible child.  I’m not saying the people I know aren’t responsible or that I’m forcing any type of parenting skills on anyone.  This is how I would raise my child if I had one.

My father & I went to see Queens of the Stone Age in Calgary during the spring, I think it was near the end of May?  Royal Blood was the opener.  Before the concert started there were people sitting to my left having a discussion.  I couldn’t see them since my iPatch is on my left eye, anything to the left of me is totally out of my vision.  I don’t know if they were brother & sister, dating or married, or friends that came to see Queens of the Stone Age.  They were speaking loudly so I heard everything they were saying, & they had thick British accents.  They were talking about Oasis & Noel Gallagher.  The male had absolutely no clue who Oasis was?  The female was explaining everything she could about them to the guy.  How does someone come from the same country as one of the biggest rock bands of the ‘90s & not have a clue who Oasis is, or their guitar player & songwriter?  It’s really not that big of a deal, I was completely flabbergasted!  Whoever the girl was knew everything though.  Oasis is probably as well known in England as The Tragically Hip is in Canada.  Not everyone will be a HUGE fan but most people know who they are.  She explained everything to him, & they sounded as though they were the same age.  It just baffled me that they both knew who Queens of the Stone Age were but not Oasis, weird?  Maybe I just have too much useless music trivia in my head, it’s genetic!  My brother & I got it from mostly dad, but both parents.  I only have 3 “Oasis” albums & 2 “Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds” albums.

I found out about Queens of the Stone Age via Nirvana.  Dave Grohl was Nirvana’s drummer, then singer for Foo Fighters, then played drums on 2 complete albums for Queens of the Stone Age.  Oasis’ big album in 1995 was also the year Foo Fighters released their debut album.

I fell asleep to “Pink” the album “Beautiful Trauma”

I exercised to “I Mother Earth” the album “Blue, Green, Orange”

We went to bed around 9:30pm on Sunday we were so tired.  Monday morning I woke up around 2:30am.  Kim woke up later & had a headache.  She ended up going into work late.  I gave up & got up around 5:00am.  I couldn’t sleep, so I figured I’d do my exercises.  Finished them, had breakfast & crawled back into bed around 8:00am.  Once Kim showered & went to work, I showered (I have a shower chair that would have to dry off before we moved it).

Why was I so sore on Tuesday after the early morning on Monday?  I did a full workout on both days, yet today I was fine?

I’ve got a lot of time to think!  Did anyone see the movie “Red State” by Kevin Smith?

Before anyone calls me a hypocrite or an atheist.  I consider myself a Christian, I believe in God & remember that this is nothing more than my opinion.

This can be a touchy subject, remember that you are entitled to your opinion even though it’s likely different than mine, as usual!  I have no intension of forcing my opinion of anything on anyone.

Let’s talk about the Republican Party or conservatives in general.  Most of them love the Bible, that’s great.  Where does it say to hurt or kill another human if they’re different than a white male, with a Christian belief?  I didn’t see it in the Christian Bible & I assume it’s not in any other Religious book.  People who kill others for being different than them are flat out wrong.  #LGBTQ members, Black, Brown, & White people are humans.  What is the point of harming a person?

What I’m getting at is God is referenced in the Bible as “He”.  Most red state leaders are white males who believe in God, Jesus, & the Bible.  Stay with me here.  Most of them consider homosexuality a sin.  The Pope & Cardinals are not to marry a women as they are not to tarnish their relationship with God.  So does this mean God, the Pope, or the Cardinals are gay?  If so, I’m good with that & many conservatives or republicans may read this & have their minds blown or, hopefully, rethink their stance against anyone different than them.

There’s a BIG difference between Religious & a “Religious” Cult.

Jealous?  Inadequate?  Insecure?

You want a new “A Perfect Circle” & a new “Tool”?  Don’t blame the messenger if this doesn’t happen.

A small handful of these are on my list of 2018 albums.

WOW, the music is a total rip off from “Radiohead’s” song “Creep”.  Lyrics are a bit difference.  Singing melody the same too.  Both songs inside the link.

Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds – Who Built the Moon?

Most people my age have at least heard of “Oasis” in the ‘90s.  Noel was the songwriter & lead guitarist.  His brother, Liam, was the singer.

Noel & Liam still don’t really get along from what I know.  They were terrible to each other when they were in “Oasis”.  They’ve both branched out on their own.  I tried listening to Liam Gallagher’s solo album but I much prefer “Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds”.  Noel has 3 of these albums released.  The first one I do not own, came off as a bit boring to me.  The 2nd & 3rd album are very good.  This 3rd one even better than the album “Chasing Yesterday”.  Again here’s a few tracks from “Who Built the Moon?”

Yes, I’m getting tired of talking about him & watching CNN like it’s going out of style.  He’s on a 17 day vacation.  I’m sure I have never taken 17 days off in a row since I had a summer break in elementary school!  How do you lead one of the most powerful countries in the world & just relax for 17 days?  Does this mean American’s get 17 days off too?  Crap, he still has Wi-Fi & his cell phone, be ready twitter followers.  I guess there are some renovations going on in “…that dump…” now as well (The White House according to Donnie).

Stephen Colbert nailed it saying “Change the locks while you’re at it”.  Hahaha! I feel sorry for the American public!  Nothing but bad news for our neighbors to the south.  Didn’t turn out the way most of us wanted.  But just like a random mass shooting, what ya gonna do?

With Donnie on vacation for so long, I hear there’s a term position available at the White House!  Hillary, Bernie you have plans this month?

I fell asleep to “Trivium” the album “Silence in the Snow”, then about ¾ of “Lamb of God” the album “Sturm Und Drang”

Early morning straight out the door for a message & a blood test before my MRI.  Preseason baseball to watch this afternoon.  In other words, I’ll be laying on the couch in a position that is comfortable for my leg with an ice pack on it.

I admit that at most times I was OK being the center of attention in comfortable situations or in a small group of friend.  I’m older now & I look like the loser of a brawl.  I’m OK not being the center of attention now, then I don’t feel as though I have to be “on”.  I still have issues meeting new people looking the way I do, in a wheelchair & with an iPatch.  However, when anyone wants to take a photo of my cousins & I, I’m asked to take off my iPatch & sometimes stand up with someone’s help.  Well I’ve never enjoyed anyone taking my photo to begin with & me without my iPatch, glasses, or wheelchair is just as fake as a poorly done photoshop picture.  How about no photos please.  I don’t look at them or have a camera.  Take photos of whatever you like, just not me please?

Basically what I’m saying is I used to really enjoy going out, now I go out of the house once or twice a week & I’m good, or else I get cabin fever.  I don’t leave the house every morning & drive to work, I get bored very fast.

Yep, I bought Ed Sheeran on preorder & got it last night!  I haven’t listened to it yet.  I got the deluxe edition.  It’s a 16 song album & I’d rather give it a more focused listen the first time around.

I forgot to mention yesterday that “Queens of the Stone Age” have completed the recording process of their new album also.  I think a new album from “Royal Blood” is almost a guarantee as well, from what I saw on Facebook a few weeks ago?

Pentatonix shared it….

I think one day of not giving any member of Trumps’ office any news or publicity would be hilarious!  They can ban any news source they want, & the entire media can choose whatever they want to report on.  The problem with this is ratings & news articles seriously drop if this is what happens?

I think I shared this earlier this week?  Here’s “The Pretty Reckless” live on Conan.

Reissue of the “Singles” movie soundtrack on vinyl here for preorder

I can’t really handle a lot of “Slipknot”.  They’re not too heavy for me.  I’ve got one of their albums which I’ve only listened to probably 4 times at most.

I find it odd when a band says “We’re going back to our original sound” like U2 said after releasing the free album to anyone with iTunes.  I don’t think a band should ever make that statement.  They’re setting the bar for their next album.  Hardcore fans will more than likely be disappointed & anyone else that hears the album could sway either way & be disappointed with the next album or the preceding catalogue.  I find that to be a faux pas.  It took “Metallica” a long time for most fans.

The Blue Jays have needs that could solve many of their issues staring at them right in the face.  They aren’t planning on using them though because they’re too young.  Their off season plan was to get younger & more left handed.  Rowdy Tellez & Dalton Pompey do both & they’re Blue Jays that came through the Jays minor system.  I wonder why this team hasn’t made it to the World Series since 1993?  Both players are young, left handed.  Tellez fills a void at first base, & Pompey can hit lead off while filling a void in left field, as well as having speed on the bases.  You still have a great bat on the bench with the injured utility player Steve Pearce they got in the off season who only has 100 MLB games under his belt & he’s right handed.  Let the kids play, & I’d drop Upton & Smoak in a trade for another utility player/bat off of the bench in a second.  Smoak has yet to live up to his potential & Upton is on the downside of his career.

I’ve never heard Liam Gallagher outside of Oasis?

Waking up at 3:00 am because your leg is causing discomfort is not cool.  I got up & slept on our couch.  I didn’t want to flop around & bother Kim & our couch is much firmer than our bed, which seems to be a good thing for me.  The exercising I’m doing is very light in order to heal my nerve pain, just get it moving.  Leg lifts, calf raises (holding on to my transfer poll & standing on my toes), my stretches & then walking with my walker when Kim gets home from work.  It’s necessary someone assists me just in case.  I’m more than tired of this nuisance.

I have a question & I’d like to hear your thoughts please.  There’s a 20 something year old NFL player.  Every week they get a mandatory day off to do whatever they like.  This athlete chose to fly to Florida I think it was?  He got on a boat with some friends to spend the day on the water.  He put a photo of all of them together enjoying the day on social media.  He showed up the next day for the game.  He’s dropped 3 passes all year.  When he played after a day on a boat he dropped 6 passes.  Was that because of how he chose to spend his day off?  If there wasn’t social media many people wouldn’t know about it, & who’s to say that it, A) Affected his performance.  B) Does anyone know this is how he routinely spends his day off just & doesn’t post a photo on social media?  C)  Why is the team relying on one player determining the outcome of one game?  D)  What do other payers do on their day off?

Is he supposed to go over a playbook on his day off, or should he do what he wants on his day off.  Should he work to live or live to work?  Do you live to work or do you work to live?

Inside David Bowie’s final years

A look at 30 years ago of the best hard rock albums from 1987.

David Bowie’s acting

Still a really FANTASTIC movie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Alter Bridge win best rock album, best rock song, & best rock band at the awards.  They’re pushing the boundaries of rock to metal almost with a great singer!

These are my 2 preferred versions of Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah”

Gotta give Jeff Buckley some major respect!  I couldn’t play any of his stuff on guitar.  That being said, I was just good enough to call myself a “guitar player”.  I was a singer that played guitar, mostly to hide behind, my on stage security blanket.

Babymetal win 5 awards.

I’ll leave you with that today.  More stretching for me!!!!!

Being politically correct is really not for me, but there it is for you!

Nothing but Thieves – Self Titled.  I’d put this as my number 1 album of the year!  This is not a metal album!

Stitched Up Heart – Never Alone.  This & Alter Bridge are in a dead heat for number 2 on my list

Alter Bridge – The Last Hero

From here on everything’s tied for 3rd place!

Rob Zombie – The Electric Warlock Acid Witch Satanic Orgy Celebration Dispenser.  LANGUAGE!!!!

Ben Harper – Call It What It Is

Candlebox – Disappearing in Airports

In Flames – Battles

Third Ion – Biolith

Opeth – Sorceress

Sum 41 – 13 Voices

Anthrax – For All Kings

Highly Suspect – The Boy Who Died Wolf LANGUAGE!!!!!!!  The more I listen to this album, the more I like it!

The Pretty Reckless – Who You Selling For?

The 1975 – I like it when you sleep, for you are so beautiful yet so unaware of it

Tremonti – Dust

The Agonist – Five

Chevelle – The North Corridor

Green Day – Revolution Radio

Scream – Fumble (Dave Grohl’s group before Nirvana)

Oasis – Be Here Now & Definitely Maybe

Barenaked Ladies – Live @ Red Rocks

Taylor Hawkins – Kota EP

Lamb of God – The Duke EP

Portal – Blood Red Tape.  Independent group from Alberta, Canada, I think?  They remind me of Tool.

Vinyl Hero – 7 days on a train EP.   Another independent group from somewhere in Canada, I believe?

Candlebox – Love Stories & Other Musings

It’s not that I don’t like EPs or Live albums.  EPs leave me wanting a full album of at least 10 songs & live albums are pretty much a live album of Greatest Hits.

Diemonds – Never Wanna Die

Diemonds – The Bad Pack

Metallica – Hardwired to Self-Destruct

Bruno Mars – 24K Magic

I’d have to agree with the review.  There is nothing I should like about this album.  In the end, I love it & I don’t know why?

Boston – Boston

The Damned Things – Ironiclast

When the Holidays are over & Kim gives me the OK, I’ll purchase these albums.  If Apple goes under my purchased files are mine.  I, personally refuse to “download” streaming music aka Apple’s not taking away my music!  It’s a free country use a streaming site however you like.  Of course I’ll buy these gradually, unless we can make it rain with iTunes gift cards in January……………I doubt it!  Only took Metallica 33 years to release something original that I like & listen too.  Hahahaha!  I have 2 other Christmas albums.  Those aren’t buy now albums.

Just because I can!!!!!!!!!!!

My questions for anyone reading this.  What were your preferred album(s) this year?  Also, how would you classify Alter Bridge?  Are they rock, metal or right on the line between both genres?  I really want to hear from anyone reading this.  I’m not the judge of what’s good or bad.  Maybe you’re not a fan of rock or metal, that’s fine with me, I used to be completely against music with a distorted electric guitar involved, so please let me know?

Thursday evening was quite tame, 3 pints of Rebellion’s Flanders Red beer, TV shows & then to bed.  Friday was an extremely lazy day.  Laundry, I got supper & a blizzard at Dairy Queen.  Kim took me because I whined & begged.  We rented “Central Intelligence” good for a chuckle.

Saturday, Kim went grocery shopping & to the art show in the morning.  We went to my parents in the afternoon for supper later on.  My parent’s puppy, Goose, is currently 20-24oz.  A really fat hamster.  We came home just before 9:00 pm & the elevator wasn’t working.  Kim knocked on someone’s door.  He already knew & had called for the repair.  By 9:30 pm all was well & we were home.  Kim had a better idea than I did.  I figured I could do that many stairs, but we had Brewster with us which would make it tricky, Kim knocked on the door of one of the condo board members.

My mother & my cousin were hear for coffee earlier.  My cousin should be boarding her plane to go home shortly.  Iran the dishwasher, emptied it, made a juice for the week, & had a bite of canned peaches for lunch.  The rest of the day looks like I’ll be on the couch.
