Do you have a question about stage 4 brain cancer?  Ask if you do!

I fell asleep to “Queens of the Stone Age” the album “…like Clockwork”

I exercised to “Pretty Vicious” a 4 song EP & multiple singles

+40 Celcius outside, & our A/C isn’t working at all.  I guess that means it’s +29 Celcius in our suite.  This is our 6th summer here & there’s only been 1 summer we haven’t had to call about the A/C not working.  That’s the main reason I exercise ASAP in the morning.  In the winter it will remain +20 Celcius & nobody in the building turns on their boiler heat & the A/C will freeze if we turn it on.  We open our balcony door in the winter just as much as we do for using the BBQ in the summer.

All of our windows face South so it’s usually +20 Celcius or more in here year ‘round without the boiler or A/C on.  I often wish we lived in igloos all year like some other countries assume we do.

We borrowed a fan from my parents on Monday.  By far the best sleep I’ve had in a month!

Chris Adler not up to drumming for “Lamb of God” yet after injury.  There’s an album I can stop waiting for this year.  😦

Billy Joel plays “Pour Some Sugar on me”.  Would be nice if you could hear his piano in the mix.

If you think metal fans are crazy, read this study

I listen to one of the bands mentioned.  I’ve heard a 2 or 3 of the others & I’ve never even heard the name of the majority of other groups.

This is real!  I called the Apple support line regarding this.  iTunes is gone, but the idea of it isn’t.  Anything purchased before or after the Apple update will stream.  Everybody will have the option to buy music or subscribe to the streaming service after the update.  One store, one media player, & 2 ways to attain music, purchase for the entire file or “download” it as a streaming item only.  Nothing is really changing except the software, you will need pretty much anything other than an iPod Classic to stream the music.  I have a new iPod touch coming soon, yet my iPod Classic still works.  For me this is not a big deal.  If you still have an iPod Classic, I recommend you get an iPod Touch, iPhone, switch music players & order CDs from Amazon.  Unfortunately the update does not support the iPod classic.  You’ll need a cell phone or an iPod Touch to use the update.

I think this is a very good move by Apple, since all I use it for is music!  The only downside of this move are the people who have working iPod Classics.  Mine still works but I have an iPod Touch on the way.  The update also includes PC computers.  What I forgot to ask is “If I stream the music I’ve paid for, do I pay the monthly fee to stream it?”  I don’t think that will be the case, but I could be wrong?  If I am wrong, I’ll just use it as a regular iPod classic, if it streams GREAT!  As for the release of the update?  It won’t happen until the fall of this year.

I don’t listen to Disturbed’s music, I haven’t listened to it since I heard their 3rd album & stopped listening to all of their albums.  Their lead singer doesn’t seem to take any criticism well, but he’s not against dishing it out!!!

Yep, the guy from the rap duo “Outkast”.  I bought the album on CD where the 2 of them made an album without the other guy.  I liked the Andree 3000 album more.  “The Love Below” he also acted in the movie “Four Brothers” with Mark Wahlberg.  About 4 adopted boys returning home to find the killer of their foster mother.

Here’s one of their hits as a rap duo.

It took a rocket foul ball to hit a very young child at a baseball game before players reacted saying there needs to be extended netting around the 3rd base & 1st base line.  What did analyst/former backup catcher Gregg Zaun say before he got the boot from Roger’s Media 2 years ago?  Something to the effect of ‘Don’t buy a ticket in that area if you can’t react fast enough for a ball or a bat flying into the stands’.  I don’t like the reason he was fired, sexual misconduct which means there’s at least one victim if not more, but I’m elated he’s gone.  Just sucks that his actions likely made someone a victim.

I fell asleep to “Trivium” the album “Vengeance Falls” in celebrating that their new album will be released on Friday.

I exercised to “Foo Fighters” the album “Concrete & Gold”

Back to the grind as of Monday.  I like to get up & get my exercise over with, before it gets to “Hot in Herre”.  Once it hits +24 Celcius in here, forget about even moving much!  Yet the hallway is absolutely freezing year round?  We’re still waiting for a valve from Europe.  The plumber needs it to do a complete over haul of the A/C.  We’ve been waiting since the beginning of April, I think?

I like to keep the temperature in our suite at +22 Celcius.  +23 is manageable, +21 is too cool, for both of us.  +24 or higher, I’m on the couch.

The guy I spoke with on the Apple support customer service line on Friday is speaking with the engineers to fix my problem once & for all!  He said it would take a few days for them to get back to him, & he’ll call me when he gets a response!  Some of my files are out of order or missing on Home Sharing, & I’m not a fan of Apple Music, since Kim can listen to it at work.  Only one person can use it at a time.  He called me on Tuesday to let me know he has yet to hear anything from the engineers.  I spoke with a person named Justin & he REALLY impressed me.  I’ve got his name & his personal extension at Apple, along with my case number, now it’s a waiting game for me.

I bought an “Alter Bridge” special edition thing.  DVD, a B-Sides & rarities CD, a double CD of a concert, & wrist band, guitar picks, strings, pins & buttons, etc.

I can only listen to that on Home Sharing since it’s on CD, which I ordered through the record label. There are 2 main reasons I’m opposed to using Apple Music.  Only one person can use it at a time, Kim doesn’t mind it.  Music should NOT be free, if you want to hear a song you got last year you have to pay rent to hear it again. I use iTunes, it’s cheap like CDs in a store, & I own it, I didn’t “rent” it.  When Apple goes down I’ll still have my files backed up on an external hard drive.  Apple music owners, as far as I know, can’t backup their music since it’s in an iCloud, like the movies you purchase on iTunes.  I downloaded all of my iTunes movies, in full, on my external hard drive, then sent them back to the iCloud to stream them again.

The power went out last night.  Fortunately it was pretty much time to go to bed.  Quite windy here in Regina yesterday!  Gusting up to 90Km an hour or 56mph.

I saw this morning that Gord Downie, singer for the Canadian rock icons “The Tragically Hip, has lost his battle against brain cancer & passed on.  Sad news to see.  My condolences to his family, friends & dedicated fan base.  I was a very casual fan, owning but 4 of the 20?  Studio albums.  We all knew that it was terminal brain cancer, that doesn’t really soften the blow though.

This is the real deal!  Available for purchase on iTunes!  New A Perfect Circle song!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Album release in 2018.

I can’t put down the new Foo Fighters album now 10/11 songs are REALLY FANTASTIC.  The production of it isn’t to my liking though.

His last post, many more to search for.  He’s really good!

Gee which album should Metallica reissue next?  I guess there’s no such thing as a stupid question, but this one is very close!  St. Anger the blaringly obvious answer.  Why did the “Black” album get reissued, sounded fine to me.

I bought the Jack Johnson album “All the Light Above it Too” the day it came out.  Our wedding song is from his 3rd studio album “In Between Dreams”.  He has worked with other musicians on a few other albums.  Here’s what we agreed on for our first dance.  Then, we’ll dive in feet first!

“Brushfire Fairytales”

“On & On”

“In Between Dreams”

“Curious George Soundtrack”

“Sleep Through the Static”

“To The Sea”

“From Here to Now to You”

He has recently released his 8th studio album, “All the Light Above it Too”

I like Jack Johnson, however, I think he needs to change it up.  I get it.  It’s his mellow Hawaiian hometown music.  I enjoy his music, I think it’s getting a bit old.  Time for him to change it up, but still be Jack Johnson.

All of these are in order of release for you.  I think after he did the “Curious George Soundtrack” he should have changed things up.  He tried, playing only electric guitar on the 2 following albums.  Nice try, but I think he missed the mark somewhat.

I’d recommend his new album if you haven’t heard of him or if you’re a HUGE fan!  I listen to it, but not very much.

I fell asleep to “Queens of the Stone Age” the album “….like clockwork”.  Guess who played drums on this album?  The name rhymes with Rave Roll?

I exercised to “A. D.D.” the album “Core” then “Alice in Chains” their Greatest Hits” the songs before singer, Layne Staley, died from a heroin overdose.

I remember Chris Messer telling me that the band I was with in university, should play “Man in the Box” my voice hadn’t completely changed from being a bass singer in high school yet.  The song was pretty difficult for me.

I exercise daily because I have to if I want to walk again.  I miss it when I’m supposed to be relaxing.  The part I really like about it is my rotation of T-Shirts that fit has grown!  Seems as though each week I can add another shirt into the mix.  This week started off with the addition of 3 T-Shirts.  That’s my wardrobe, concert T-Shirts & mostly shorts.

I really don’t like the heat!  Our windows face south so it’s always warm in here.  Even if the blinds are closed, even in the winter, it can get up to 89F or 28C.  Far too warm for me!  In the summer I can turn on the air conditioner to keep it at 22C.  In the winter I’m hooped?  I don’t even turn on the heat.  I did last winter & it kicked in 3 times, the rest of the winter it was really “hot in herre” even when I left the door open.  The heat from the sun kept it at a more than balmy 89F, 31C.  If we were going out I’d keep my shorts & T-Shirt on & bring my jacket with me.  I don’t wear my winter jacket much, usually a bunny hug/hoodie.  If you’re from Saskatchewan you know what a bunny hug is, if you’re anywhere else & say that, people look at you like you’re absolutely crazy!  That or on occasion in other Canadian provinces someone will say “So, you’re from Saskatchewan I assume?”
