Friday ended for us going to “Chop” for supper with Sherry.  James stayed behind with Brewster.  Very good, yet pricy!  I don’t know where Kim found the money, but her sister came with us & paid for all 3 of us.  Thanks Sherry!

Saturday not great.  A) I called a customer service line.  I spoke with 3 different people + time on hold between each caller.  ½ hour or more on the phone.  The final person can’t help me & says as a sign off “Good luck with that!”  REALLY!  Did you learn that from Trump helping the flood victims in Texas?  He’d help out others & say “Have a great day!”  B) Roughriders lost to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.  Fortunately the Toronto Blue Jays actually won, in a game that meant nothing.  Strong rum & Cokes were flowing here after the incredibly stupid call.

I’ve been on the customer service side of things, all you have to do is agree with the customer.  They’re always right, at least that’s what they want to hear.  They’re usually wrong though.  The customer typically has no clue as to what’s happening behind the curtain.  I never lose my cool on a bad customer service representative, if I’ve tried to work with them & still have a problem, I calmly ask to speak with a manager that can help me.  Ranting & raving gets you nowhere, so why bother getting upset?  It’s something that doesn’t make anyone happy.

It’s like road rage.  You’re going to rant & rave while driving me somewhere I didn’t do it, nor can I fix it for you.  Unless you’re going to talk to whoever is driving the other vehicle, I don’t need or want to hear it.

Sunday we got up, found a legal loop hole for my problem & didn’t have to call the customer service line.  All is well!  I’m getting tired of fixing their problems though.  I’d stop using this product but it’s pretty much a monopoly.

“They’ve got us by the short & curlies…”

Made a juice for the week, some laundry to fold & put away.  Once that’s done, couch, baseball or Netflix!

WEEKEND UPDATE

This is me during my day, followed by music info because I want the music info as well.  If you don’t want to read it, don’t feel as though you have to, it won’t hurt my feelings.  You can read the cancer stuff, the pop culture stuff or not read it at all, it’s totally your choice & whatever you choose is just fine by me.  So don’t feel pressured to read this.

What did we do this weekend?  NOTHING AT ALL!  I don’t like sitting at home on a Friday or Saturday night but nobody we talked to wanted to play.  My mind says I’m 25 my body is more realistic at 36!  I did go to the Saskatchewan Roughrider game with my dad on Sunday.  I don’t have a handicap seat.  My father pushes my chair up 2 ramps, I go up 10 or 12 steps & our seats are right in front of us, seats 1 & 2.  Next year, in the new stadium should be even better.  About 2 steps from the main level.  The first level is built into the ground, & we’re in the top row seats 1, 2, & 3.  My mother can’t get to where our seats are at the moment so she has sold her ticket to the people beside us but has kept it in her name.  They’ve chosen to sit closer to field level in the new stadium.  Our seats should be easier for my mother to get to, so she’ll be with us!

Don’t get me wrong!  I enjoy other stuff also Harry Connick jr., Norah Jones, Nat King Cole, Classical music in general, etc.  It’s very subjective.  A good song is a good song.  My habits just lean towards the rock & metal side of things.

Foo Fighters with Norah Jones

I do like one Metallica album.  The one with the SFSO

It’s 2016, I don’t think a protest song works anymore.  If it was a country song billions of people would hear it.

I’m not a huge fan of them.  I own 4 CDs “Blood, Sugar, Sex, Magic” which I never listen to, “By The Way”, “Californication”, those 2 I listen to occasionally, & the double album “Stadium Arcadium”  I listened to it once or twice & it’s been in hiding ever since I bought it.

LANGUAGE!!!!   Yes, I’ve sang this.  Not my style at all!  I prefer listening to this!

I’ll take “The Pretty Reckless” just for the song.  Full album out on October 21st.  The song by “Kaleo” is pretty good, I’ve just never heard of them before, sounds really good though.

http://loudwire.com/the-pretty-reckless-vs-kaleo-cage-match/

Kaleo has 4 or 5 albums, EPs, & singles available.  Similar to Jack Johnson, just slightly heavier?  Gritty?  Nowhere near hard rock or metal.

10 death metal vocalists you can understand. I can’t? Out of this selection I only listen to “Opeth” they do death metal & really light intricate music as well. Checking on iTunes, I found out I missed 2 or 3 of their albums? I think I’m OK though I have everything from before & this album.

WITH GREAT POWER COMES GREAT RESPONSIBILITY

Pass this link around to whoever might enjoy it. They don’t have to know me personally. If they read one post & don’t like it, that’s fine.

Let’s get something else out of the way & put it away. I’m what U2 has been looking for, & I let the dogs out! It wasn’t me but it’s about time somebody takes responsibility for these monstrosities!

We watched the following movie Monday night. Bad reviews on iTunes that I totally disagree with. I really liked it! A very good court room drama. I highly recommend it, especially for fans of “Primal Fear”

Cell phones. One of the first things you see on screen at a movie theater is an announcement to turn your phone off. I think that should be at least stated by any band before anyone preforms, probably wouldn’t be that big of a deal. I had a cell phone before I had cancer. I can’t remember who I was seeing or what city it was in? Security at the door was checking everyone for a phone. First they’d ask, “Do you have a phone? If so does it take photos or videos?” I replied “Yes it does”. “Could you please take it back to your vehicle? Otherwise we’ll keep it.” “Yep, no problem”. I already had my phone turned off at the time, taking it back to the vehicle was fine by me, I had 0 intention of using it. I didn’t get cancer that day nor did I die without my cell phone. I haven’t owned a cell phone since Tuesday, February 5th 2008, but I’m here & I’m fine.

I don’t disagree with someone having a cell phone. It’s a personal choice. If you have one please be responsible with it. There’s a time & a place for them, it’s not in a movie theater, music concert or any other public venue. If it rings or vibrates & you have to take it, maybe excuse yourself from your group & take the call elsewhere.

I kind of like the changes iTunes has made for it’s users. Not iTunes Match, terrible software with the launch of Apple Music. They’ve added influences & similar artists to whatever album/artist you’re looking at, that is in your iTunes library! I like that. If it’s someone I’ve never heard of I’ll preview it.

Home Sharing is quite similar to iTunes Match. I don’t recommend iTunes Match though until they fix whatever they messed up with the launch of their streaming site. We no longer pay Apple $27/year for iTunes Match. Match will stream all of our music in my wife’s library as well as mine, on any device, at least when it’s working properly. We could stream our libraries on her cell in the vehicle, our home stereo, etc. Home Sharing does not do that. I have an iPod Classic, I can’t air play my music with that iPod. Kim can with her phone, but only her iTunes library. If we want to play our iTunes in our vehicle, I have to connect it with a USB cable to our vehicle radio, no big deal. Kim’s cell I’m not sure about? As long as I have my computer on, iTunes open & home sharing on, I can play my library on our home stereo.

I have 5 “My Morning Jacket” albums. I had no clue as to who they were when I saw them in Edmonton in 2003 opening for Foo Fighters. Seeing them live is MUCH better than buying an album with the vocals covered in reverb. Here’s an album song I heard in 2003, then bought the CD at the merchandise booth. Imagine this being played by a group of headbangers!

Songs I like, “Nat King Cole” his voice is really good!!!!!

This first song I don’t own, but you might know it?

My Grandmother would sing this quietly to me when I had trouble sleeping at my grandparents house. I was Irene in this case.
