Friday finished with me coaching the Jays on TV & then the Roughriders.  Both lost.  I’m either a terrible coach or I’m not shouting loud enough?!

Fairly quiet Father’s Day.  We celebrated Father’s Day on Saturday at my parents’ house.  My brother BBQd steaks for 11 of us. Mitch, Rachel, my parents, grandparents, my aunt & uncle, my aunt’s parents, us, & my aunt’s friend Lori.  Lori’s a part of the family & has been for as long as I can remember.  Saturday I woke up around 9:00 am & had breakfast, watched the Toronto Blue Jays lose again! Finished emptying & re-loading the dishwasher & then it was off to my parents place.

Honestly a pretty regular life in a wheelchair.  I did scrape my left ankle on something here on Saturday.  I didn’t even notice until I crossed my legs with my ankle on my right knee.  Then I noticed mass amounts of blood on my knee & ankle.  Didn’t feel a thing, cleaned it up & carried on, more of a hassle than anything.  Rub a little dirt on it & forget about it!

Sundays here are quiet.  Baseball, couch, groceries, & preparing for the week ahead!

If you’re here for the update news, that’s all I have for you today.

Haha!  Michael Jackson mash up with Iron Maiden

Dave Grohl’s daughter plays drums with Foo Fighters in Iceland in front of 20,000 people!

A couple of new Foo Fighters’ songs live.  LANGUAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

3 new songs?  There’s at least an EP on the way I would think?  That 2nd song I can’t say I’m big on.  Grohl likes to scream though, but REALLY, with an acoustic guitar, piano, & drums?

Foo Fighters’ albums ranked

Ronnie James Dio’s widow slams Gene Simmons as he tries to trademark metal horns symbol.  It’s just as ridiculous as Taylor Swift trademarking the words “…+h!$ $!(k B3@+”

I like Taylor Swift’s “1989” album, then she did something incredibly ridiculous!

Anyone interested in some Metallica figurines?

Pitch Perfect 3 in December!!!!!!!!!!! 1 & 2 were HILARIOUS!  This will be the final Pitch Perfect movie.

Sure, because we all want our favourite band to continue re-hashing the first album they made…….NOT!  BORING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In Flames took a lot of heat on social media of fans saying this album wasn’t heavy enough.  I had no problem with it

I rarely listen to the radio.  We had some errands to do.  Kim runs into where ever we are & I flip through the 3 stations I can tolerate.  I usually can’t find anything I like but on Saturday afternoon & again in the evening I heard these 4 songs & turned it up!!!

People look at you weird if you’re head banging inside a parked vehicle in the parking lot of a grocery store, with the radio turned up LOUD!  I assume it’s because the vehicle is shaking?

Why did this become a music blog?  “Because music is a BIG @#!$%^*&( DEAL”-Dave Grohl

“I feel good about the good things, & bad about the bad things”-Dave Grohl

“Learn from your mistakes & don’t repeat them”-Chris

Stay safe out there,

“Be kind to one another”-Ellen Degeneres

These posts may become a bit random over the course of the summer?

The more I listen to the new “Lamb of God”, the more I like it! “Highly Suspect” is also really good!h

New Metallica bassist, Robert Trujillo, has a side project in the works

Oh, John Oliver is hilarious & usually right on target.

Seether announce USA tour

This was quite a few years ago, 2005. Yes it reminds me of Nirvana a lot.

Billy Corgan on the death of Kurt Cobain

31 years ago Metallica released “Ride the Lightning”

A member of Axl & friends (G n’ R) quit? WHO SAW THAT COMING? EVERYONE!!!!

Muppet Mockumentary!!!!!! I hope the Muppets are coming back, along with Muppet Babies?

Keith Richards video

Remember “Puddle of Mud”? The singer has been arrested.

Monday’s Rock It Out Blog

Watch a trailer for a documentary starring Will Ferrell

I tend to agree that technology is affecting us for better & worse. You really don’t have to remember anything. If you can’t figure out something everyone goes right to the phone in your pocket. Long debate but worth the watch.

Slipknot fall 2015 tour dates

Florence & The Machine’s short film

Songs I like. “Michael Jackson”

Yes, I know, not his OWN song but he’s part of the “Jackson 5”

OK, I’m at 51 or 52 subscribers now you do the work please? If I see this 100 times that’s fine, please spread the word?

ALWAYS come to the site, you might be missing something in the email? There are multiple youtube links on every blog. I use “Google Chrome” on my desktop PC. “Safari” works on my mother mac laptop as a browser if you come to the site. Facebook links & youtube links do not work or even appear on my mother’s email, but she can see EVERYTHING when she comes to the site itself.

I can’t see who comes to the site but I can see how many times a country views the site. From now on I recommend you come to the site. Consider the emails as a facebook notification that there’s a new post.

Kim has an E.D.O. tomorrow. That means no blog on Friday this week. Be sure to watch the Rock It Out Blog on every Friday especially. Really good discussions on Fridays! I’ll be here checking email & facebook tomorrow.

Rock It Out Blog from Wednesday. Yes, every musician with a roadie should be really thankful for their roadie(s). That’s something I don’t miss, hauling my guitar amplifier & guitars home at 2:00am after a show. Roadies have a difficult, thankless job, so difficult there’s a roadie school!

Here you go rap fans “Run the Jewels”. Rap & I don’t really get along, so I can’t tell you anything about it, sorry?

Julian Casablancas of “The Strokes” news

“Riotfest” line up for 2015 in Denver, Chicago, & Toronto.

In Flames, “Take this knife”

That’s still not as bad as the snare drum on their “St. Anger” album

I’m still a U2 fan, just not a hard core fan like I once was.
http://www.rollingstone.com/music/videos/watch-u2-perform-sweetest-thing-with-bono-impersonator-20150527 This song first appeared on the 1980 release of “Boy” then again on the album “Under a Blood Red Sky” released in 1983.

Now heavier music is my thing.

Summer’s changing landscape for rock music through the decades.

IF Kerry King ever learns how to guitar solo on key, then I’ll be a Slayer fan.

Brian Johnson of AC/DC will appear on Jim Breuer’s comedy album

Good grief he’s dead let him R.I.P. & leave his family alone. No amount of money can undo whatever happened in the past whether it’s true or not.

Rock music is still here, just kinder. Brand new rock band doing quite well for themselves, Royal Blood not metal, rock!

Look at that! Third Ion above Pantera’s Greatest Hits album currently sitting at number 14! Can I ask what the heck is Five Finger Death Punch doing on a metal chart, or any chart for that matter?

Dave Grohl’s facebook page shared it, so here it is I think this is my favourite track on the new album.

I asked a question yesterday about Tool & got zero responses, that tells me you either missed it, don’t like Tool, which is fine or you’re not reading this. It’s interactive, so I’d really like some feedback. If this site is just for me, there’s really no point in me writing it. This is more for other people, not me.

Man I’m old! 24 years ago Smashing Pumpkins released “Gish”. 1991 I was 11 years old & hated “grunge” music at the time.

Songs I like. “HIM” courtesy of Elka Blahbledyblahblah! I think I’d have to go with the original Chris Isaak version.
