I fell asleep to “A Perfect Circle” the album “Eat the Elephant”

I exercised to “Ben Harper & the Innocent Criminals” the album “Burn to Shine”

Brewster setup shop on my exercise mat this morning.  I just stayed there with him to scratch his neck, he’s getting old & I’ll really miss those little moments.

Perhaps “Paul’s Guitar” in 20 years?  99.9% chance of a maybe on the off chance I’m not happy with the guitar coming in August, which I highly doubt, if this model still comes with pickups that are different than what I own, if I choose to sell a few of the guitars I own, maybe there will be something better, hopefully the price is lower than $1300 for a low end guitar at the time, in the end probably not?  There will likely be a trip within the next two years & a house hopefully within the next 5 years, so a guitar = probably not.  Remember that as long as Brewster’s OK, then the guitar MIGHT happen?  I’m pretty well off in that department even now before I get my new one in August.  Crappé it’s only March!

Regular season baseball begins on Thursday, March 26th.  I’ll be relatively glued to our TV until the beginning of October.  The Blue Jays likely won’t be in the playoffs but I predict they’ll finish the season with a record of 75W-87L or 83W-79L games out of the 162 regular season games.  I think they won 67 games last year.  The first 2 months we’re older players that gradually disappeared for younger/potentially better players to take their spot throughout the season.

We picked up some toilet paper on the weekend.  It wasn’t because of what you think.  We just like to keep our butts clean, & the shelves were full of toilet paper, that or Kim’s “Magic”!

After seeing “The Weeknd” on SNL & tours that have been announced I can confirm: the 1980s synth pop sound is coming back.

“Barenaked Ladies” are hitting the road with “Toad the wet Sprocket” & “Gin Blossoms”.  “Matchbox Twenty” are taking “The Wallflowers” with them on tour.  The Canadian 1990s & early 2000s rock scene is getting a shot in the arm with 4 bands touring Canada this summer.  “Moist”, “The Tea Party”, “Big Wreck”, & “Headstones”

I’m thinking some stairs should be happening tonight?

Do you have a question about stage 4 brain cancer?  Ask if you do!

I fell asleep to “Foo Fighters” the album “Concrete & Gold”

I exercised to “Pink” the recent album “Hurts 2B Human”

My family was told, in 1999, that cancer is not genetic, WHAT?  Why were my mother & my aunt told to get regular mammograms after my grandmother died of stage 2 breast cancer?  My grandmother died of breast cancer, my grandfather died with cancer everywhere, my aunt died of breast cancer, & I got stage 4 brain cancer.  Odd that 4 people on my mother’s side of the family, including me, all had cancer since it’s not genetic?  Tell me another story, preferably a non-fiction story, because I’m not buying this one.

My grandfather died near the end of my time at the Wascana Rehabilitation Center.  Oddly enough he was just around the corner from the room I was in of the Pasqua hospital.  My grandmother was there as well in 1999.  Other than my aunt, 3 people in my family have been there.

Grandpa was full of cancer & had Alzheimer’s.  I often wonder if Alzheimer’s was why he never said anything about his health or if he felt anything wrong?  The nurses & doctors were FANTASTIC there.  So please don’t think that I’m putting any blame on them.

3 brain surgeries, & my odds of coming out of a coma were 5% – 15%.  4 weeks later I was awake.  I got really lucky!  1 week of an induced coma & 3 weeks of me being in a non-induced coma.

I’m assuming that with new technology they may now have found that it is genetic?

New “Evanescence” in 2020?

System of a Down news.  New album from the group stuck in limbo for now.

This is VERY impressive from a 9 year old!

This is only my personal opinion.  TV streaming sites are great.  The actors don’t complain about being under paid.  I’m not sure where the money comes from, but I’ve never heard an actor complain about their lack of payment.  They’re not complaining, neither am I.  Here’s the second part of this topic.

Yes, I used Napster for a bit, & torrents later on.  The albums I got from torrents, I actually bought CDs for most of them, if not all of them.  Now Apple will not allow any CDs or third party files on their music player.  Why?  Most musicians are complaining about not being paid for their work.  Remember when the U.S.A. government was shut down & federal employees weren’t getting paid.  Why was that so terrible, but nobody seems to care about musicians getting paid?

I use iTunes & pay the for each $9.99 album.  If I had the money & physical space I’d buy vinyl.  Do I ever dream of being of being a working musician?  I used to, but not if I bring in pennies for music & depend on people buying merchandise, oh & that cancer thing too.

Musicians aren’t retail sellers at a clothing store, they make music.  Somebody will see this & say “They charge so much for a concert ticket though.  That’s why I stream music.”  That’s fine if you prefer to stream it or not, that’s a personal decision.  When you use the price of a concert ticket as a reason for streaming, you’re telling me you have or will see every concert by every musician you listen too?

I have 2 of their 6 albums.  Good albums, but total 90s generic radio rock with a lot of pop thrown into the mix.  I was a teenager in the 90s.  This was the music that was right up my alley at the time.  Even though I may not listen to it much, Matchbox Twenty were a BIG part of my musical upbringing.  I did get to see them live on one tour that passed through Regina.

The more you share this, the more readers I get.  No, I’m not profiting from this in any way.  I can’t tell who’s reading this but thank you! Word of mouth is the only way of promoting this.

It’s Friday, I don’t want to be in here all day. Yesterday was a tad long winded. I’m a writer or I used to write lyrics, I do get writers block but I haven’t lately, sorry. My bad.

Now that this is on Facebook, please like & share this?

Favourite “Rage Against The Machine” songs? Can I just pick my 3 of 4 favourite albums? I own 3 of them on CD? POSSIBLE LANGUAGE WITH RATM?!!!!

I’ve never really been able to get into “Wilco”, think along the lines of “Blue Rodeo” watered down or “Phish”. I guess it’s a free download so have at it if you like?

I quite enjoy Paul Rudd movies. That thunder storm last night “sure escalated quickly”.

The recent release by Slipknot is just far to heavy for me. Quite a few others may call it their favourite Slipknot album. For the record I borrowed the latest album from my brother, listened to it a couple of times, gave it back, & deleted it from my iTunes. What I’ve heard from the 2004 release,Vol. 3 The Subliminal Verses, sounds pretty good.

Bill Hader on Jimmy Fallon spit skit HILARIOUS!

In Flames shared it on facebook, I’ll have to check them out. Not a metal band, but a rock band. Much Music videos are gone I don’t like what’s on the radio, so facebook is my information highway for new bands!

2 singles & a 4 song EP. ^^This is one of the singles, sounds good to me I’ll put it on my list. I have other stuff to listen to before I listen to a new group. I’ve already bought two albums this week & have two more this month on pre-order.

I got my pre-order “Mister Asylum by Highly Suspect” last night & OH, MY that’s a good rock album! Kim was online for pretty much 4 or more hours after work with Apple support & almost finished fixing iTunes Match, but our internet bit the dust late last night. The woman watched a video from the album I had pre-ordered, that doubled, random songs from it on my iPod, & said to Kim “My that’s a different video”. Kim responded “That’s my husband’s music”. Fair enough 7 songs on the 10 song album are marked as “explicit”. I don’t always listen to the words unless they’re terrible, really good or that I can relate too. More the music or melody. Yeah, weird to hear from a guy who wrote lyrics in a group, I know. “Highly Suspect” is labeled as indie rock, but sound nothing like other groups in that stupid sub-genres, The Strokes, Rah Rah (Regina based band we played with at my old high school when they were starting out). I was in grade 8 at high school with “Rah Rah” member Joel Passmore, good guy, despite me not really knowing him that well.

Thank you Consequence of Sound another new artist for me to check out & put on my list to buy later if I like it. Sound Cloud link to the song inside the CoS link.

Teaser/Trailer for upcoming X-Files mini-series. I never got into X-Files.

Another new “Lamb of God” song featuring Chino from “The Deftones” is in my iTunes files with my other pre-ordered songs from the album out on Friday the 24th.

Dave Grohl interview on starting Foo Fighters. This is a snippet of the full interview of course there’s LANGUAGE!!!

New Darius Rucker video aka Hootie from “Hootie & The Blowfish” that name was meant to be the entire bands name. Same with “Alice Cooper”! Both became the front man’s name by popular opinion. There’s no “Led & Zeppelins” or “Pink & Floyds”

Yes, Dave Grohl plays drums while regular drummer, Taylor Hawkins, sings. Brian May of Queen plays on this studio version of the song.

This is why I follow the Rock It Out Blog! Members of Nirvana, Bad Brains, The Germs, & Scream play a punk rock show to 40,000 people. LANGUAGE OF COURSE, IT’S LIVE & DAVE GROHL HAS A DIRTY MOUTH LIVE!!! Out of the 8 studio albums only 3 songs have a 4 letter word in the lyrics, one of them is a rare B-Side Kim ordered for me from Best Buy only available in the USA Best Buy stores in 2005 or 2006?

There’s a show I wouldn’t attend. Nirvana was offered to play this tour/show & declined for good reason. Metallica at the time was a group of 2, 3, or 4 alcoholics & Axl Rose was/is unreliable.

If Facebook goes down so does this blog it might end in a few years? I’m not really a big fan of communicating through Facebook. If Apple or iTunes goes down, for me that will be “..the day the music dies…”! “….I dig those rhythm & blues & THIS SONG…”!!

Songs I like. “Matchbox Twenty” had to skip a few! DON’T JUDGE ME!

Always check out the Rock It Out Blog on facebook or
