I fell asleep to “The Watchmen” the album “Live & in Stereo”

I exercised to “Paramore” the new album “After Laughter”

100 crunches, 50 leg lifts, & 30 pushups per day.  Weekly total is 500 crunches, 250 leg lifts, & 150 pushups. I won’t be raising the total of crunches for a while (as much as I’d like too), leg lifts will increase, & the pushups have already increased by 10 a day.

All of these numbers feel very low to me at the moment.  I feel like I can & should raise the amount of reps because I know I can do them.  I agree though to carry on with caution.  The leg lifts work on my lower ab muscles which the crunches don’t activate & they’re done lying on my back, at some point I’ll ad the lifts on my hands & knees.  I’ll ad some back flexes next week.  Flat on the ground, front side down, then lift all of your limbs at the same time.  Probably 10-20 of them.

Although it feels like I should do more, it feels good to do something productive, no matter how much I do.  Sitting around with a bad back is something I do not want to do again!

If you’re here strictly for the cancer news, that’s all I have for you today.

I fell asleep to “Green Day” the album “Dookie”, followed by “Wide Mouth Mason” their S/T album

I stretched to “The Watchmen” their 3rd album “Brand New Day”

I was ready Monday to do my exercise but after 300 crunches I knew to lay off.  My legs were getting sore.  I figure this should be a week of stretching only.  This leg/hip problem is really annoying & preventing me from doing what I’d like to do.  I was told by one of my doctors not to lay on my right side, so I didn’t.  After a while of sleeping on my left side, I woke up, stood up to get in my wheelchair & it felt as though I had a bruise on my left hip.  Now I can sleep on my back & somewhat on my right side.  This week will be stretching & guitar along with Blue Jay baseball!

I was going to do some pushups from my knees on Monday, then I realized I gave myself a large gash on my knee from crawling around.  It looks like I had knee surgery, far worse than it really is.  Didn’t really hurt ever, it just looks horrible.

I think I’ll continue the music/movie news.  I like it, stuff I’d like to know.  If all you want is surviving cancer news I’ll keep it at the top here.  If you want the pop culture stuff, I’ll put it below.  Like I said, the www.youtube.com links are just for reference if you don’t know who or what I’m talking about, you don’t need to play the entire clip.

As for this week, I’ll be practicing the song by “Clutch” & the song by “Foo Fighters”

Friday night was very, very tame.  We stayed home, had a meal of fend for yourself, watched the movie “Collateral Beauty” and went to bed around 10:30pm.  Good movie, just very slow all of the way through!

Saturday Kim went out groceries, while I cranked the stereo to “Diemonds” and did some dishes & cleaned Brewster’s throw up!

Sunday we actually went out for my cousin’s baby’s baptism.  A lot of my grandparent’s friends I haven’t seen in a whole.  I had too much lunch & Kim made the mistake of leaving me in the vehicle with peanut M & M, they’re long gone now.

Tomorrow I’ll begin some light workout finally.  I’ve hit my limit for claiming chiropractor appointments on my taxes.  When I saw him last week, he gave me the OK for light exercises!  FINALLY!

I like kids coming over.  Kim loves it as well!  I like seeing any of our friend’s kids!  Kids really don’t care what anyone thinks.  I’m good with babysitting, then the parents get to take them home after we’ve taught them what not to do.  If I get confronted by someone who blames me for teaching their kid something I’ll reply “Oh, it wasn’t me!  What on earth are the Grandparents teaching this poor innocent child?”  I’m pretty sure I’d be a very immature father if I had my own child though.  The kid would likely grow up a little wonky?  This is my way of saying “You’re welcome”.  This could be one of my reasons for not having kids?  Be sure to watch the entire thing!

Well, no In Flames date in Saskatoon this time.  The closest to Saskatchewan they’re coming is Calgary & Edmonton.  Save my money I guess.

I fell asleep to “Simon & Garfunkel” the 3rd disc of a 3 disc boxset I own, I really just wanted to relax!

Don’t feel as though you must open every link.

As much as I’d like to be known as a friend, cousin, son, nephew, grandson, etc.  I’ll be called all of those things ending with “…who had cancer”.  It makes sense though.  I am all of those things “…who had cancer”.  I’m Kim’s only husband, as far as I know.  I’m also Mitch’s only sibling, as far as I know!  I have multiple friends & cousins & my parents have 2 kids.  For friends, cousins, aunts, uncles, my parents or grandparents, “…who had cancer” is probably the easiest way to tell others who I am.  It doesn’t define who I am but it pinpoints who they’re talking about.  In that sense I get it & I’m fine with that.

I’m getting a photo/day of a Stone Sour member in the studio.  I know they’re done recording it, time for a preorder or a release date already.

Rock stars in drag.  If it was the ‘80s, it doesn’t count.  Dee Snider of ‘Twisted Sister’ does not count.  That was regular show attire for him.

Who can afford to go to Ed Sheeran in Saskatoon?  $117 for Kim & the same for me, & I bring my own chair????????????????  We’re out???????????????????  $234 plus gas & food??  Nope, I’ve seen him once with terrible sound!

I used to be a heavy drinker, now 4 drinks over the weekend is about maximum for me.  I’m older & don’t go out to establishments to drink.  If I do go out, it’s more so to purchase beer to put in the fridge.  I also don’t have a license.  I’m prevented from driving since I only really have one eye to work with.  Going out ends up costing more than necessary as well.  The new drinking & driving laws don’t really affect me much & my wife rarely drinks.

For me, it’s never really been about getting drunk, & less so as I get older.  Getting drunk in your 20s with your friends is one thing but I have more important things to do as I get older.

http://regina.ctvnews.ca/mobile/changes-on-tap-as-craft-breweries-respond-to-new-impaired-driving-laws-in-sask-1.3324286#_gus&_gucid=&_gup=Facebook&_gsc=CFCBswK

Don’t feel as though you have to click on every link.

Friday evening we went out for supper with some friends from out of town.  Good times!!  We rarely go out for supper or leave the house for that matter.  I need to do something on a weekend or else I get cabin fever & a little cranky.  I don’t go out to a job 5 days a week.  I can’t drive, neither can my dog & we have 1 vehicle, since Kim is the only one here that can drive.  We had a busy week, that doesn’t happen very often.  We were both home Monday evening.  Kim was out Tuesday.  I had a physio appointment Wednesday evening.  I went to “Big Wreck” with 2 friends & my dad on Thursday, while Kim was out with some co-workers.  Then Friday was out for supper.  Most weeks I’m lucky to be out once!

Saturday was quite tame.  Kim & Sherry went grocery shopping as they do every weekend.  Afterwards Kim & I just powered through what was recorded on our DVR.  I finished the off the last episode of the first season of the Netflix series “The Santa Clarita Diet” while they went shopping.  I think I sat in my wheelchair too long Friday night?  It’s deflated again & I was on it for 3 hours.  My sciatic nerve is/was making things uncomfortable watching TV most of the day.

Sundays are the days we get ready for the week, Kim boils eggs & cooks my fish.  She also makes up a few lunches for herself to take to work.  I shell the boiled eggs & put them in the fridge.  During the week I have 1 boiled egg & a glass of vegetables & fruit blended every morning.  A piece of fish for lunch or a wrap with turkey deli meat.  Supper is the wild card usually squash with meat sauce or rice, quinoa & chicken for supper.

Last night I think all 3 of us expanded our vocabularies quite a bit.  I don’t remember being in so much pain because of my sciatic nerve, I was near tears & screaming just trying to get comfortable in bed.  I’m sure it’s from having a completely deflated seat in my wheelchair.  Just too long sitting on it at the restaurant Friday night.  Kim inflated it last night but the damage was already done.  I got up this morning, had breakfast, shelled the eggs, & did my stretches & I’m sure I’ll be doing more later on.

WOW!  My uncle sent me this.  This was his first time playing in front of an audience, at a French Just for Laughs!

I can’t get enough Alter Bridge!

http://loudwire.com/alter-bridge-nonpoint-heat-up-snowy-new-york-city/#photogallery-1=1

Not many people seem to know who “Alter Bridge” is & outside of Canada “Big Wreck” is very unknown.  In my perfect world I’d love to see these 2 groups open for “Foo Fighters”, but that’s just me?

Mike Shinoda, Linkin Park rapper, is 40 as of Saturday.

AH, Jimmy Fallon!

This is one reason musicians drop out of music.

http://www.cbcmusic.ca/posts/18039/musician-injuries-health-awareness-music-schools

If they’re mainstream radio artists they have a few options, since they make pennies on digital music.  A) Release the album everywhere & hope it’s well received.  B) Start a fragrance, clothing or alcohol line & continue to release the music everywhere.  C) Don’t release the music, do it as a pastime & find a non-celebrity job.  D) Put the music out & charge as much or as little as you want.

Have you noticed that Prince’s music is hard to find a video on www.youtube.com with audio?  You can watch a video but with no sound or half of the song’s audio.  Most musicians are glorified T-Shirt sales person.  That’s what Lamb of God vocalist, Randy Blythe, calls himself in his memoir.

“Muse” is touring with “Thirty Seconds to Mars” beginning at the start of May.  “Muse” just completed a tour cycle a couple of weeks ago, so how are they spending their down time?  In the studio!!

It happens to most singers.  I’ve seen people who forget the lyrics & I’ve done it too!

http://loudwire.com/10-rockers-forgetting-lyrics-onstage/

Forgetting The National Anthem is where I draw the line.  Cover songs are easy to remember because it’s been on the radio 18,000 times & it’s usually one of the singer’s favourite songs.  If someone else in the band has written lyrics & I sang it, those were often hard to remember for me.  35 cover songs were pretty easy for me to remember in a cover band.

Highly Suspect’s Facebook status on Saturday

“I think you should watch the Grammys tomorrow. Rumor has it they are gonna put our ugly mugs on TV this time”

If he didn’t swear so much I’d share more songs with you.  2 albums & only 3 or 4 songs that are clean?  At this point it’s a gimmick.  Great band though.  They almost remind me of Nirvana.

I’m not big on live albums, but here you go.

Give him promotion, he’s happy.  If you don’t he’s angry & ratings drop fast if you’re “fake news”.  Most of the world has already formed their opinion on him & it’s not good from what I hear.

Kim & I rented the movie “Trolls” Saturday night really good/funny/family oriented movie!  I couldn’t care less about the Oscar Awards nominated movies of the year.  To me they’re usually over rated fancy shmansy artsy fartsy movies I’ve never heard of, after the awards I may watch one or two of them.

If you say so www.loudwire.com I’m guessing I won’t know the majority if any of the names?
