All of my music info came from; first my parents, then radio, then Much Music, always from like minded friends, then I got into metal a little over a decade ago, & now it’s all from facebook. I rarely listen to the radio, for a few reasons. I flip on the rock radio station & I either own it or don’t like it. That & isn’t FM radio supposed to play/advertise a new song or album? I don’t need to hear “Tom Sawyer” by Rush from the 1970s for the 4th time today ( I wish I was joking but somebody at the station must REALLY like that song)

I’ll be sitting in our vehicle somewhere Kim has to run in, & I’ll flip through 3 FM stations & usually turn it off after a total of 10 seconds. If I find something I like, it’s usually on the soft rock station or Jack FM where they truly do play everything. I probably own it, but haven’t listened to it in a while & it urges me to listen to an album when I get home!

All I can tell you is that Paramore’s Facebook page is very active with studio photos!!!!!!

Ben Affleck knew you hated him being cast as Batman. The movie exceeded my expectations! I loved the Christian Bale Batman trilogy! I’d say this is darker and easily lives up to the hype! Out on iTunes for purchase June 28th. Available in store on DVD or Blu-ray in July.

I at my parents place from the afternoon to the time Kim finished work. Then we had supper & came home shorty after that.

I wrote all of this but the stuff I listened to at the top of this post. It’s now 12:30pm. I’m becoming a fantastic procrastinator! Not a good thing at all. I had lunch after my exercises & listened to the most recent release from “Lacuna Coil” the album “Delirium”.

LAMB OF GOD IN SASKATOON MONDAY NIGHT

I fell asleep to “Corrosion of Conformity” the album “America’s Volume Dealer”

I exercised to first “Halestorm” the album “Into The Wild Life” that finished, I put on “Black Sabbath” 10 albums on shuffle.

Yes, I’ve kept up with my exercise all week, I slept in “yesterday” & after the short time in here, I immediately did my exercise.

Yes, Corey & I went to Saskatoon to see, Corrosion of Conformity, Clutch, then headliner Lamb Of God. Only my 2nd time seeing Lamb of God live. We missed Corrosion of Conformity unfortunately, but for a good reason. We were sitting in a bar with Jason Lowe having a couple pints of beer & a bucket of bacon with Maple syrup on the side. The bacon was very thick & didn’t have all of that visible fat that is in most bacon. We stayed there until almost 8:00 pm.

We got to the venue with enough time to grab merchandise & then see Clutch, who were incredible! Then the headliner Lamb of God! The sound for Clutch was much better than it was for Lamb of God, Corey & I both thought that. The Clutch albums are great, but seeing them live was one of those, “HOLY CRAP BATMAN” – Robin, moments.

Corey & I made up our own “Beer, Bacon, & Bands” festival, & we didn’t have to purchase a ticket to go to that festival, just the concert. My brother was sick, he had a ticket, yet no one to sell or give it to. I really wanted to see Corrosion of Conformity though, ah well, next time?

Clutch

Then the headliner Lamb of God!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know Lamb of God played these songs & more. I’m not very well versed in regards to Clutch though.

Nice visit with Loafer. The only minor problem was that the street where the pub was, was under construction. We parked about 2 blocks away because from it. Ah well, Siree told us where to go, & how to get there.

Thanks to Corey for taking me to the show, and making sure everything was smooth sailing!

Late start to my day. Kim left for work at 7:00 am, I didn’t roll , my lazy butt out of bed until 8:30 am. I much prefer getting up before 8:00 am so I can get things done. For me this is a day of rushing around the place to do what’s needed after my exercises.

I can’t remember what European country it was, iTunes was ruled by a judge that iTunes is illegal since 2013 or 2014. Because you can burn a CD on it. Apple now sells lap-top computers without a CD, DVD or Blu-ray drive. That sounds more illegal than banning the use of iTunes all together. I’m sure the people at Apple could just not include the burning software?

Say you’re sitting around the house & an older song pops into your head maybe you heard it in passing or on a commercial and you say to yourself “Hey, I’ve got that on CD! I should put it on my iPod!” wait, you can’t because you have a new Apple lap top with no CD drive in it. So now you’re going to add the album to your streaming service or buy it on iTunes. More money for Apple (The Rich) & less for you (The not nearly as rich), this sounds illegal to me. Apple is now checking the info on the music you put on your personal iTunes & we’re not allowed to borrow or burn mix CDs because it is now illegal? What was the movie I saw just a few years ago with Ashton Kutcher who made a mix CD for Natalie Portman’s character on her period?

Comedy album anyone?

Masterpiece review courtesy of The Consequence of Sound. This is when Radiohead took a big dive for me. This is their third album after the very FANTASTIC “The Bends” followed by the oh so AWESOME/MIND BLOWING “OK Computer”

For the record I’m not a fan of Kiss, Motley Crue, or Sixx AM. Gene Simmons is & will be known as the most outspoken musician in history, Kanye West will be a close 2nd . I don’t listen to any of them. They’re the ones who have the celebrity platform to say what they want, when they want. You can choose to listen or avoid it.
