I fell asleep to first “Ben Harper” the new album “Call it What it is”

Then “Scream” the album “Fumble”

Dave Grohl dropped out of high school to join this band, before joining Nirvana.

I’m not a huge fan of punk music. I believe there are 4 albums on iTunes, this I the only one I’ve bought & like. I think there’s one other one I need to preview again before I make the purchase?

I exercised to “In Flames” all albums & EPs on shuffle. I looked at my T-Shirt & figured “I haven’t listened to them in a while, let’s workout to In Flames.

Not everything in life is right or wrong, you know this as much as I do. In certain situations there’s large gray area. Do I know if I’m doing the right thing to beat, beating cancer? Nope, but I’m trying & I will likely be better, but how much better will I be?

Anyone can do what they think is right, but there’s always the possibility that it wont turn out for the best. I’m not a gambler, but life is a gamble. Just when you think you’ve got it, everything can flip upside down. How you react to these situations is what others will think of you. Remember, you can’t please everyone all of the time. That would be far too much effort with very little gain, you might end up not liking who you are. If you’re happy, your family & friends are happy, I’d call that a success! It can still get screwed up though. I always have this thought in the back of my mind when I see a sketchy situation coming “Hope for the best, prepare for the worst”. I didn’t hit rock bottom at all, although I did have my own pity party. “There are millions of people” worse off than me!

What do I call myself, not a hero or victim? I don’t care for either one of those words. I’m EXTREMELY lucky & alive to tell you about it.

Until I hit rock bottom or fly really high, there’s always someone worse off than me or somebody doing much better than me. I’m in that gray area, & it’s pretty comfortable! I don’t want to stay there though, that would be boring after a few years. Foo Fighters named their 2011 album “Wasting Light” because Dave Grohl doesn’t want to waste his time here. I now feel the same way, that’s why for 5 days a week. I go as hard as I can aka I like to get up early & stay up late to accomplish as much as I can/want.

Let those who review, do their thing!

I can’t wait for Roctober (Yes, I just made up that word & added it to my spell check) at the Casino!!!!!

Favourite rock albums thus far in 2016? I’d have to go with one of these 4. Tremonti, Rob Zombie, Anthrax, or Dream Theater?

Rock, metal, whatever.

Foo Fighters “Sonic Highways” review. Of course I have the TV series? I bought it on iTunes

Last Week Tonight with John Oliver LANGUAGE!!!!

Friday, Kongos will be released

I got the new Tegan & Sara album last Thursday evening on preorder from iTunes. One song file wouldn’t download from the cloud. After trying a few different things I settled on having a 9 song album instead of a 10 song album.

I guess Alter Bridge has signed a new contract.

“Alter Bridge sign with Napalm Records”

Jack Black is alive & well. Stupid hackers!

Today’s workout was bought to you by the letter “T”, as in Trivium on shuffle. 6 albums I listen to & one album on CD in the closet behind me. It’s not allowed on my iTunes! I don’t put baby in the corner, I put CDs in my closet (it knows why)!

The only song from the album “The Crusade” on my iPod & iTunes, an instrumental

The Toronto Blue Jays won! On to Kansas City on Friday (October 16th) to start a best of 7 games for the American League Championship Series! 3 pitchers used in yesterdays game, all under the age of 22. Marcus Stroman started & went 6 innings + 2 outs. Aaron Sanchez pitched 4 outs (1.1 inning). Roberto Osuna is 20 years old & pitched the 9 inning, the game finished at 6-3 including a VERY long 7th inning (53 minutes) that everyone could have used a rule book for. I’ve been watching the Blue Jays since 1991 & I have never seen 1 inning take so long with 2 bench clearing occasions. Nobody fought but it was very close to getting ugly.

If you’re in the crowd as a mother protecting her new born, stop throwing any projectile on the field! Alquida is pretty much on par with the Toronto crowd from yesterday. The crowd reacted in one of the worst ways possible. Even Toronto players were trying to stop the crowd from throwing garbage on the field.

The Texas Rangers made 3 errors in a row?! Yeah that was a fantastic game. I hear 75% of Canada jumping on the Blue Jay band wagon! “Welcome aboard I’ve been here since I was 11, 1991, the year before they won the World Series!” I watch a TON of Blue Jay baseball, yet I’ve never seen most of the stuff that happened last night!

You just don’t do this EVER as a pitcher!

Josh Donaldson post game interview “That play just pissed everybody off”

I don’t watch much National League baseball, that’s the baseball I find boring.

“Back to the Future” 4? With a cameo by Christopher Lloyd

A “Die Hard” prequel? Both of these movies have the potential to be great, or fall flat on their face.

What? Katy Perry sang with Christian nu metal group POD?

And now she does this?

Hear the original line up for “Alice Cooper” play ‘Mr. Nice Guy’

Well “Almost Famous” would already set the bar quite high for this team up.

Walk off the Earth shared it, here it is! I do like the previous album more than this new album. Here’s one from each album.

Their covers are FANTASTIC + very unique

The new Radiohead album is done & they plan to tour in 2016

I’m sure it will sound like this track rather than the 2nd link.

I just found this link for “The Best of Regina”, my friends Cam & Michelle run the preschool “Bloom” on the ballot. “The Exchange” is also on there, good original music, mostly local. “Best place to make WHOOPEE (besides home) is also on the list? Who calls it “WHOOPEE” now?

Songs I like, “Sound City” soundtrack to the documentary by Dave Grohl about an analog recording studio. Foo Fighters with other musicians leading whoever is playing along with them. Studio that Nirvana recorded the album “Nevermind” in.

Today’s workout was brought to you by the letter “I” as in Iron Maiden’s “The Book of Souls” album

Yes, this “Learn to Fly”

The background as to why this song was written, 2 reasons that I know of. Dave Grohl wanted to try to write a well known/catchy pop song. He was also was terrified of flying at the time & was taking flying lessons. This album was released on October 26th 1999. Long time ago, this album also solidified Foo Fighters as my favourite band. My Grandmother passed away from breast cancer on December 5th 1999. I would drive 45 minutes away to Moose Jaw, turn around & come back to Regina just to occupy my time when I was supposed to be at University. I would blast this album everyday in my car.

This was written for a ‘Godzilla’ remake released in 1998. My brother has/had the CD. Notice the lyrics “…I’m afraid of aeroplanes….”

I’m assuming this was written before the ’99 release of ‘Learn to Fly’ off of “There is Nothing Left to Lose” an album made in a week, in Virginia, in Dave Grohl’s basement, in a studio Dave, Taylor & Nate built by sound proofing it with egg cartons & a friend acting as the producer. Oh, & it won 2/3 Grammy Awards.

The Pope’s arrival in the USA is why we missed the first 28 minutes of “The Ellen Degeneres Show” on Tuesday. I record it at 2:00pm for Kim & I to watch later on. Just sayin’! JK!

Chris Cornell covers Prince’s “Nothing Compares 2 U” made famous by Sinead O’Connor

Did anyone catch “The Muppets” last night on ABC? Kim & I both thought it was pretty good, we had a good chuckle!

I would be at this show if it was near Saskatchewan! Tremonti & Trivium oh, yeah. Review of a show

Article on Mark Tremonti.

Foo Fighters with Jane’s Addiction & Jack Black on stage LANGUAGE!!!

Somebody should ask this guy “Who are The Simpsons?” I gave up the Simpsons in 1999 or 2000? It got old. The series began when I was in grade 6.

Destiny’s Child manager hopeful of a reunion

Royal Blood on the James Corden show. Seeing Royal Blood was a bonus opening for Foo Fighters!

Songs I like, “Rainbow Butt Monkeys” one album. Finger Eleven before they got a new drummer & changed their name. “Finger Eleven” was my brother’s favourite band. We both saw the video for “Circles” at the same time & we both liked it, him a bit more than me. We both bought the CD shortly after seeing the video.

Busy weekend! Finding a song for our first dance was difficult. Kim wanted a Country song & I didn’t. We finally agreed on this

No, I’m not touching any streaming site EVER go ahead though pay for a radio station for the rest of your life? I’ll be here spending our money on iTunes & I’ll sleep well knowing it will be there. Maybe that’s stupid of me, spending money for a product I want to own, then I’m an idiot, oh well. Nobody other than the label is really making any money on iTunes or any streaming site.

Anyone know when Axl WONT be complaining?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! Yesterday to Mick Mars of Motley Crue & Green Day bassist Mike Dirnt.

This had better be a good one Lamb of God!

Hard rock hotel & amp, Casino. Rockers named to perform

I believe U2 will be on Jimmy Fallon Friday May 8th 2015.

New Lamb of God website?

James & I saw Lamb of God on the tour for this album in 2006? At the West Edmonton mall on a whirl wind 2 day trip. I saw the weirdest thing ever. A mother, father & 2 kids all there headbanging along to every Lamb of God song. I don’t know that I’ll ever see that again?

I agree with him 100%. But nothing will change with anyone being mad about the current situation for musicians. You can’t have it all for the consumer or all for the artists, there has to be a balance to it so everyone gets something out of it. Thank you Napster, iTunes, Spotify, Tidal, Pandora, Google Play, etc.

If the industry was in a good place or not, there will never be another Seattle, at least during my generation’s time.

Phil Rudd is angry that no one in AC/DC will speak with him? I wonder why……………….OH, that’s right he threatened to kill someone!

The Simpson are renewed for 2 more seasons, why? I’m done with the show as of a long time ago. I’m 35 years old. I did an air band to the first season soundtrack in grade 6, I think they’ve expired “Best before 2000”

Pearl Jam covers Big Wreck? Did somebody else write this song? I just checked my “Albatross-Big Wreck” CD liner & saw no writing credits for any songs!

Duff McKagan (G n’ R/Velvet Revolver) new book

Velvet Revolver has released 2 albums. I can honestly say that only this song is the one I don’t mind. It does get old rather fast. They’re good at what they do, it’s just not for me.

Nikki Sixx after the Motley Crue fair well tour

I’d have to agree, firing John Gibbons would be a band aid fix. Everybody on the field is under preforming other than rookie 2nd baseman Devon Travis & OF Kevin Pillar. 2/9 players can’t carry a team through 162 games unless the name on the jersey is Bautista or Encarnacion, even that’s a stretch!!

Songs I like. “Fall Out Boy” skipping a few bands that I like but don’t know the song titles of?
