Dear CFL officials,

The first 3 quarters of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats @ the Saskatchewan Roughriders was quite possibly in my top 3 terrible football games I’ve ever seen in my 38 years of life that I can remember seeing.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

A season ticket holder.

Music throughout the week.  A lot of “Devin Townsend”, “Dead Sara”, “Big Wreck”, & “Tremonti”

There was no exercising going on this week.  My wife told me on Tuesday that she had Wednesday off, so I decided I had the week off.  Fair enough my finger is 98% better, a few extra days of doing the bare minimum won’t hurt it.  Being your own boss definitely has it’s benefits!

I leave Regina for a few days & it seemed as though everything flipped on me?!  Best Buy has stopped selling CDs, Trump is still President, the Toronto Blue Jays made a trade, & nobody wants to OWN music??!!?!

I hear a LOT of whispers that CDs & downloading music will soon be a thing of the past?  Downloading should stick around.  I wouldn’t think downloading an album or streaming an album wouldn’t cost Apple extra money, but I really don’t know?  I’m waiting for an announcement from Apple/iTunes regarding this.

I’ve heard that vinyl will still be around though?  Is it really cost effective to do away with CD production & still release vinyl?  I have no clue?

If that’s all that is available in the future, vinyl & streaming, I plan to use both.  I’ll stream stuff on my iPod, I’ll also purchase vinyl every 3 or 4 months of the stuff I want to own.  That’s my opinion, I’m not speaking for anyone else or saying that it’s wrong.

This streaming crap drives me crazy, in a VERY bad way.  What the heck Apple?  iTunes isn’t available just for me.  I have the option to purchase my music or stream/rent it like a magazine subscription.  I’d like to have that option in the future.  Nobody these days seems to care if Apple Music shuts down & leaves them with nothing?

I find the entire thing as ridiculous as Trump being President.  “We’re going to give you streaming music only & royally piss off musicians that make all of our product” – internet.  I want the option, it can’t be a waste of money on Apple’s side of things?  “Stupid is as stupid does” – Forrest Gump.

If this is where the music industry is headed, I’m glad that I wasn’t talented enough to be in a professional band, where I work for pennies when someone streams my music!  At this point, EVERYONE should work for free if musicians have to!

I’m not a fan of Apple’s music software, but downloading from iTunes is very convenient, when it works properly!  Kim & I have hacked away at problems that occur & “so far so good”

Lots of people like having the option to stream or purchase music.  I don’t understand the cost benefit of doing away with both CDs & legal downloading?

This is just a very disappointing moment for the music industry.  The guy that created Napster needs a hard smack upside the head.  I hate to agree with anything Metallica drummer, Lars Ulrich, says but he was right for how he took a stand against Napster.  I’ll see you soon vinyl!  This entire idea I find to be very pathetic & stupid!  A vinyl album costs a minimum of $20 each.

You can’t take vinyl albums to listen to in your vehicle but I guess you can take streaming music with you.  I can also take my iPod full of iTunes purchases in the vehicle too.  I just want the option.  Purchasing vinyl albums will severely cut down on me purchasing music.

John Oliver has a bit on his show that asks this question.

I’d like to know this.  How are mass shootings still a thing?

July 4th 1995 Dave Grohl released the first Foo Fighters album on which he recorded all of the instruments & vocals with the exception of one guitar part.

BARSTOOL PROPHETS

4 guys from Cornwall, Ontario.  They released 2 major albums.  I have the first one on CD & the other one is only available on www.amazon.ca for $70.  I own the album “Crank” the 2nd one is called “Last of the Big Game Hunters”.  I’d get the 2nd one but I’m not paying $70 for a CD!?!?  “Crank” was released in 1995 & “Last of the Big Game Hunters” was released in 1997.  I was under age to see them live in 1997 when they played in Regina, so I’ve never seen them live.

From what I can tell on their website, they just tour Ontario, Canada.  I would think that if they’re still active they’d put their 2nd album on iTunes & Streaming sites.  I’ve only seen the video for the song “Little Death” back in the day when Much Music actually played music videos 24 hours a day.  That song was enough to make me get the CD.  Luckily the rest of the album is great.  Check out their website here https://www.barstoolprophets.ca/

It’s a 12 song album, so that should be enough for you to get the idea.

I agree with most of this.  I think Trivium should be thrown in the mix & Lamb of God should be higher up.  I like Slayer, but I find them over rated.

I disagree with most of what comes out of Lars Ulrich’s mouth. Wait a week & he’ll say the exact opposite. “I don’t like the idea of free music, like on Spotify” the next few days “I love Spotify!…….I have 9 iPods full of music”. WHAT?

To the Saskatchewan Roughriders

New solo album coming from Ozzy. I thought he was retiring? I guess it was Black Sabbath were going to record one more album & call it a career.

http://loudwire.com/new-ozzy-osbourne-solo-album/

I caved in, I was going to wait for this album but ended up preordering it today on iTunes for release on Friday. https://itunes.apple.com/ca/album/the-book-of-souls/id1008725069

Why is this a B-Side to one of Foo Fighters weakest albums? They even say the album isn’t that good!

Yet this made it onto the album?

Are song lyrics getting a little too…………..elementary?

I’m pretty much done with ‘Slayer’ they’re starting to sound as though they’re rehashing the same song multiple times. Here’s their new single though.

OK everybody! Jump off of the Saskatchewan Roughriders’ bandwagon in the CFL & jump on the Toronto Blue Jays’ MLB bandwagon! Now is the time. Roughriders are 0W-9L, meanwhile in Toronto the Blue Jays are 74W-56L. That’s the extent of my sport watching. Oh & some playoff hockey if the Montreal Canadiens or Edmonton Oilers are involved. I’m not an old Toronto Maple Leafs fan holding on to the 1962 win. “….I never wish bad things, but I don’t wish them well……”

JAM IS WHAT YOU PUT ON TOAST!!!!

Guitar gear geeks, like myself, here’s a rig rundown with Mark & Willie of Lamb of God.

At the moment I have purchased 18 albums from iTunes from 2015. I’m waiting for 4 other albums to be released. I already know that at least 4 will make my top 10 of the year, maybe 6 will make the cut from what I have? 4 BIG albums yet to be released & any sleeper albums I haven’t heard whispers of. If Tool is releasing an album before the year is done, it will likely be in the top 10 as well as Ian Thornley’s solo album.
