I DON’T WANT TO BE IN HERE ALL DAY?

This is going to change a bit. I think I’ll just post whatever I have by 1:00 pm from now on instead of waiting for more info to pass by? I hope everyone is OK with that? The music news I gather after 1:00 pm is pretty minimal anyways, other than the Rock It Out Blog which you can check out on your own, & I highly recommend it.

I think Damon Albarn (Blur/Gorillaz singer) would be way, way, down on my list of people to work with.

Songs I like, “Taylor Hawkins & The Coattail Riders” Taylor Hawkins is the drummer for Foo Fighters. He wanted this project to simply be called “The Coattail Riders”. Management told him to put his name on it so it sell more. They made 2 albums, the second one “Red Light Fever” I don’t really like. I have it on CD behind me, but I never had the desire to hear it, in the closet is where it will stay. The first album is fantastic though. I had to special order it as an import album through HMV. I’ve spent far too much money between HMV Southland & A & B Sound as well as many singles/b-sides at HMV Cornwall. The Cornwall is downtown. I’d be hard pressed to find someone who doesn’t find Regina’s downtown parking/driving a good layout!

Yes he plays drums while singing all of this. He wanted to make an album with as many different rhythms as possible. The song “Get up, I wanna get down” was one of the demos rumoured to be on Foo Fighters 4th album “One by One” but never came to appear on the album or as a B-Side!

I believe this group no longer exists. He now sings & drums for a group called “The Birds of Satan”

I’M A ROYAL TREAT TO HAVE AS A FRIEND OR FAMILY MEMBER

Yes, pun intended. I’m a DQ royal treat as a friend or family member!

I called Kim at work yesterday since I made my lunch of cheese, chicken, sun dried tomatoes, & hot sauce in a wrap. I told her we were almost out of grated cheese, then we chatted about other stuff. I called her back immediately to remind her that the phone call was “All about dat cheese, ’bout dat cheese, no chicken. All about dat cheese, ’bout dat cheese, no chicken, etc.” I’m a delight to live with! See Rachel Gianoli you’re not the only one when we get paired up for Crokinole. Rachel’s “All about dat post, ’bout dat post, no 20. etc.”

OK Apple, iTunes that’s enough! I wanted something done my way, so I did it. All of our iTunes files are perfect on our 2 computers, my iPod, Kim’s iPhone, & iPad. The problem is now Apple’s or iTunes problem. I bought the recently released “Silverball” album by Barenaked Ladies on iTunes, it works fine on every device but our TV/home stereo. Our TV doesn’t even recognize that we own it? I go into Barenaked Ladies & I see 9 or 10 albums in alphabetical order, at the end I see “Rock Spectacle” then “Stunt”? “Silverball” should be in between those albums. SURPRISE! It’s not there! I pre-ordered “Highly Suspect’s” debut album & got 5 songs with my pre-order. 3/5 songs I received are grayed out on the TV. I can get 2 of them to work on our TV. Are those the only songs that will work on our TV when the album is released on Friday? All of this ballyhoo started with the launch of Apple Music Radio on Tuesday, June 30th which I hear is also not so great. There is no way I’ll pay $9.99/month for a crappy radio station subscription. We have a hot deal for Serious XM at the moment for under $10/month we get it. When that sale is done, so is our subscription to Serious XM. I’ve done all I can on my end, now Apple has the ball in their court.

Why is everything a competition now? 10 best Pearl Jam songs. I can’t even pick my top 4 ALBUMS, forget 1 best song?

“Gorillaz” are coming back, Damon Albarn is back & it sounds as though “Blur” is or has made a “come back”? I wasn’t a fan in the ’90s & I likely won’t be a fan now. All of these include Damon Albarn on lead vocals.

^^You’re welcome!!! That just happened & now it’s stuck in your head!

There are way to many sub genres for metal music. Power, speed, thrash, black, death, nu, etc. For me I hate putting sub genres labels on music. There’s good or bad music. Metal, Rock, Country, Rap, R & B, & Pop. It’s either good or bad to each individual & will differ to each person. Example “Slayer” I need & have one album. After 90% of that album has played, for me personally it get’s old & repetitive. I have what is likely their most successful album “Reign in Blood” not “Raining Men”.

Queens of the Stone Age albums ranked worst to first. I’d have to agree with the worst choice. Their favourite I would have to make my 2nd favourite my favourite would be “…like Clockwork” Dave Grohl played drums in the studio on both of those albums.

http://diffuser.fm/worst-to-first-every-queens-of-the-stone-age-album-ranked/

I love this album! Elton John played on it as well! Very slow melodic piano only songs to this song (about as heavy as they get on this album).

There is currently no way I can get on the bandwagon for “Gorillaz”

If a fan is acting like a moron & ruining the concert for others and security isn’t taking care of the problem, I think if whoever is onstage sees the fan doing it, has every right to kick them out.

Why is Myles Kennedy or Alter Bridge not a household name. Myles has an incredible voice! You don’t need to like him but you should at least know who he is.

Backing vocals on this tune below….

His former band that opened for The Watchmen & headliner Big Wreck back in the day, ’99 or 2000?

Alter Bridge’s first single off of their 1st of 4 albums. Song was all over the radio in Regina radio in 2004.

In his free time, when he’s not singing for Slash or Alter Bridge, he’s been working on a solo album the last 4 years! Alter Bridge’s 1st single off of their 4th album. Myles is currently on tour with Slash.

I’m not a fan of “3 Doors Down”, but this is right on point. Treat other concertgoers with respect. I broke my nose at a festival in ’99 in a mosh pit. My nose was pouring blood. Everybody immediately cleared a path for me to security at the front of the stage/guard rail where I was told where the First Aid tent was. I was missing part of Big Wreck’s set! That’s proper concert etiquette. LANGUAGE BELOW!!!!

We’ve got Melissa McCarthey & now Amy Schumer AWESOME!!!!

HORNY & SCARRED? NAKED & AFRAID?

Jimmy gets a SIC BURN from Amy Schumer on the Tonight Show!

Is LeBron James funny? YES!

OK, Jack White stated late last year that he “can’t afford to tour”, 50 Cent filled for bankruptcy on Monday, yet nobody has changed a thing……WHY? Jack White sold the most vinyl albums in North America last year out of 8 million sold in total! I don’t know the price of a vinyl album? I think I’ve bought one in my 35+ years. I blame digital music at a low if not free price. I love the idea of iTunes. I was sitting on my butt in front of the computer last night, & I thought “Hey, I should check out this album on iTunes”. I did, I liked it & bought it after a preview. Within 3 minutes I thought of an album previewed it & bought it for $6.99. Didn’t leave the house to go to a store & buy it over the course of 45 minutes. My only problem with digital music is, where does the money go?

Remember the ’80s & ’90s? Why did those groups rise to fame & live in mansions while today’s artists are just getting by & don’t get to have that type of lifestyle? I want to own the music I listen to & I do own it through iTunes. There needs to be a change in the dispersal of the money. Apple could survive on $0.50/download, artists management/label could survive on $1.00/download & the artist could get $0-$9/ per album download or $0-$1.00 per song download. But then people would have to pay for music “OH, SNAP!! I CANT AFFORD THAT!”! Really I bought CDs for the average price of $25.00 per CD. Roughly 600 of them. Paying for a product won’t kill you, you just may have to slow done on your music purchases?

I took a TON of stuff for granted, walking, living in a first world country, having clean water & food at my disposal. Most of us never think about those things, me included. It’s just a case of “Absence makes the heart grow fonder” I’m not complaining, I’m alive, I live with my best friend and a cute dog, I have 4 walls around me & clean water. As long as I have those essentials, I can’t complain!

I find it odd that U2 sent out a free album nobody liked, & the next day Apple releases an app to delete it? Apple screws up iTunes Match for multiple households world wide at the end of June yet as of Sunday evening it’s not fixed yet? 1 album fixed in a day, multiple accounts/libraries yet almost a week later no solution. But they launched their radio station, I guess that’s their first priority?
