I fell asleep to “Foo Fighters” the album “Foo Fighters” followed by “Dead Sara” the album “Pleasure to Meet You”

I exercised to “Stone Temple Pilots” the album “Stone Temple Pilots (2018)”

I was waiting to post this after my doctor appointment.  Nothing to worry about, it will be 10 year cancer free on December, 31st this year, my scan is clean again this year!!  One more appointment this year at the cancer clinic & I should be done with my appointments this year!  Although I’ll be giving blood for a blood test after another 6 months on my thyroid pill & see my family doctor.  My doctor calls me a “Miracle” I asked him to say that again for Kim.  He said most people with my type of cancer are usually deceased.  I say I got REALLY lucky!

Kim & I hear a lot of people say stuff like ‘Oh, you 2 are so nice’, ‘You 2 have been through more stuff than a couple married for 30 years’?  Where is this coming from?  We just had our 13th wedding anniversary.  Kim is FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  No doubt about that one.  She’s the one that had to watch me survive cancer.

She learned how to administer my IV so we could spend time at my family’s cabin in the summer.

Guess what Kim told my parents when I was rushed to the hospital?  “He’s not going to die”.  I was unconscious & didn’t hear that.  That’s a very bold statement.  If I had heard it, I’d do my best to live up to it.

Am I perfect?  No, not by a long shot!  I’m lucky enough that I get to spend my life with Kim, who is perfect for me.  She never thought she’d know so much about baseball & I never thought I’d be watching any episodes of “Dancing with the Stars”.

I know I’ll hear it in some way this summer “You’re fat”, “You need to lose weight”.  This time I’ll respond.  “NO!  I’m not fat”

I’ve lost 45 pounds from my weight before I went into the hospital, gained an extra minimum of 15 pounds, so in total I’ve lost at least 58 pounds in total.  I think my doctor, at the cancer agency, is the type of person who just likes to hear the sound of her own voice.  Her hearts in the right place, just poor execution of what she’s trying to do/say.

I weighed myself on Tuesday, I’m 222 pounds.  If I hit below 210 I’ll look like “skin & bones”.  I graduated high school at 185, so I’ve grown & right around 215 or 220 is where I should be.  I have a big frame/bone structure.

I know when to shut my yap & listen.  If you’re talking all of the time, you’ll never learn anything.  The less you talk, “the more you know.”

A Canadian group that “broke up” in 2004 I think.  They still tour on occasion but don’t record anymore.  Originally based in Winnipeg, Manitoba.  They recorded 5 studio albums & released a live album last year.  Their 2nd release was HUGE in Canada.  I heard they toured EVERYWHERE though, all the way to Australia.  I was at home from school since I was sick that day.  I remember watching a video on Much Music for a single off of their 2nd album in 1994.  That album rooted them for the Canadian audience.  I thought their final show in Regina was in December of 2004.  I was playing at a party with Corey McDonald.  His co-worker’s party who let us rehearse in his heated garage.

You’ll likely hear a song of theirs from an album & perk up.  Then see a live show & go nuts because the AWESOME recording you liked is even better live!  If a band can’t at least duplicate what is on the album, they’re questionable at best for me.  The Watchmen knock it out of the park though.  One of my favourite bands to see live!  Here are a few songs in order of release…

1993    “McLaren Furnace Room”

MINOR LANGUAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1994   “In The Trees”

1996 “Brand New Day”

1998 “Silent Radar”

Easily my favourite song of theirs (below)

2001 “Slomotion”

Audio & article with Myles Kennedy regarding his acoustic solo album.

I thought I was the only one against most popular/current country music?

A sequel to “The Pick of Destiny” by Tenacious D.  AWESOME!!!!!!!

This is so true!  Why bother hating art publically?  I’ve likely done it in the past, waste of energy.  You don’t like it, don’t listen to it?  Pretty simple.  There are far more bands that I don’t listen to, than those that I do listen to!  Just because I don’t like a band or musician doesn’t mean that someone else shouldn’t like them.  Famous bands are famous for a reason.  They worked hard to get where they are, & they have a large following.

On the flip side if a band or artist is on social media, there’s always going to be haters who will call out a band if they don’t like them.  If they’re on social media, they had better grow some thicker skin to deal with all of the idiots out there.  Heck, I used to be one of those idiots.  “Do this, don’t do that”!  No, do what you’re happy doing!

Alice Cooper interview regarding Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie, & evil bands.

I was watching the pregame of yesterday’s Blue Jay game & was immediately shocked by this news.  23 year old closing pitcher from Mexico was arrested Tuesday morning for domestic assault.  I don’t think anyone in the Blue Jay’s organization ever thought that would happen?  Field manager John Gibbons probably took the news the worst.  He stated that he had a father to son type of relationship with the young pitcher.

If you do the crime, you do the time though.  I don’t know where the trial will take place?  I assume in Canada.  Until the trial he’ll be in jail until June 23rd I believe the date was?  I know it was mid-June.

Please share this, I’m not profiting from this at all.  Word of mouth is the only way of promoting this.

I slept in until 9:30. That never happens except on the odd Saturday. I did one brief exercise. I’ll make a juice & watch a movie or TV. My shoulders are tender from sleeping on my sides “back & forth” all night. Sorry but I’m calling it in today. Catch you tomorrow. For anyone there was a blog last Wednesday & another on Friday. My site had some issues?

I fell asleep to “Symphony X” I’m not sure which album some I downloaded prior to having cancer. When I bought the new “Dream Theater”, “Symphony X” was suggested as a similar artist, so I gave it a shot since I knew I had a few albums. Good stuff progressive metal with a symphony. For me, a symphony lifts an album to a higher standard. I even bought the Metallica album with the symphony!

100 metal facts.

Metal fans aren’t bad people because of the aggressive music we enjoy. Kim listens to country, I don’t like it. When I get in the car, we quietly listen to something we both like or turn off the radio. She doesn’t like hard rock or metal, so I do the same as her. I don’t hear much country music & she doesn’t hear metal music.

Worst to first “Foo Fighters” album. It’s subjective, maybe you don’t even like “Foo Fighters”? Fine with me. There’s about 3 albums that are more miss than hit for me.

“Finger Eleven” shared this link. I love me some “Kyuss” when I’m in the right mood!

However you’re getting this, please pass it along?

I slept in today Kim has an EDO today so I figure more time with my wife today! It’s about 11:30am right now & I feel like I’ve wasted the day. Anytime I wake up after 8:45am I feel like I have to rush through the day!

I don’t care about self-tying shoe laces! The hover board is already done, I saw Tony Hawk trying it out a few weeks ago. Where are the flying cars from “Back to the Future II”?

Joe Walsh song I enjoy!

Dream Theater to return to the studio hoping for a release in the late fall.

Who cares? Who else’ life will this affect?

Iron Maiden team up with Onkyo to design headphones. I wonder how much they’ll cost? I’m thinking quite a bit?

Early (1992) Rage Against The Machine show surfaces!

Great news for Malcolm Young of AC/DC. Treated for lung cancer, has a pacemaker & is expected to go on tour this year with the group!

My aunt Diane Gagnon survived breast cancer last year as well! Good job! I have an “Into Eternity” shirt that says on the back “*&^% Cancer”. Unfortunately I’m too big for it!

Neil Young’s recording an album with Willie Nelsons son.

10 most anticipated metal albums of 2015. You’d think Tool or Metallica would be at the top of the list?

Kid group covering Ronnie James Dio!

Interview with drummer of Tremonti

You would think a group like “Korn” would have enough moola to survive on what they’ve made already & not care if people pay for their songs? How much money do they want to spend in their life time?

Yep, all of us “System of a Down” fans are waiting for a new album!

14 things Rolling Stone learned on the road with Fall Out Boy!

Foxygen on Letterman. I’ll have to dig deeper about them!

Female singer puts her own spin on “Toxicity” by “System of a Down”

Sure these 6 country songs sound the same, but not ALL country songs sound the same.

GMOs I just don’t care. At the moment if your food comes from any grocery store, you’re eating GMOs so if you don’t want to consume them try growing stuff in your yard or tell a farmer what seeds to use. Until you do that there’s no need to argue about the pros or cons of GMOs!

“As It Is” reveal new/debut album. Don’t think they’re for me?

Robert Trujillo on the wait for a new Metallica album.

Alice Cooper’s “I’m Eighteen”

Big Wreck in California. I won’t be there, too far/expensive for me. Didn’t even get to see them on this tour? First time that’s happened!? CFL instead.
