I fell asleep to “Nothing but Thieves” the self-titled debut album.  This is a FANTASTIC album!  You can hear a Jeff Buckley & Radiohead influence in it.

I think I should call or email TLC. Kim and Sherry both have a weird obsession. Sherry has issues with putting googly eyes on EVERYTHING. Kim constantly wants to look in my ear. “If you need a flashlight, you’re going too deep & you’ll hit my brain with a Q-Tip.”

I buy a TON of movies & yes I’ll watch them multiple times if Kim isn’t a fan of them. Then I watch 1 or 2 throughout the work week. If I have the first one & really like it, of course I’ll get the second one! What blu-rays have I purchased this year? Only a couple so far, Star Wars VII : The Force Awakens, & Deadpool. What do I plan on buying? Batman vs. Superman, Captain America : The Civil War, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 (yes, it was me that liked the first one), Finding Dory, & whatever else I’ve forgotten or has yet to be mentioned.

I buy TV series as well but ordered from www.amazon.ca. They’re cheaper on DVD & there are multiple discs in a series. Save some money that way. I’d like to get ‘Modern Family’ or a subscription to www.shomi.com, the series is on there. All we have for a streaming service is Netflix.

Basically I just like to be entertained.

I was wondering when someone from Halestorm would do this.

This is one of the songs I like from the new album.

I love the Star Wars franchise!!!!!!

Yesterday I was listening to “Toxicity” by “System of a Down”. I hope a new album is on the way?

Yes, we spent Saturday/our anniversary at Corey & Jolene’s place. They were a part of our wedding party & we were in their wedding party, great people! Corey & I had a discussion over a few wobbly pops about music. We have a lot of music tastes in common, & some really different aka we both listen to a pile of music. I know get my music from iTunes, while Corey has gone to using streaming sites. We both miss having the product of a CD or Vinyl album in our hands, & being able to read the liner booklet. Both of us have grown up with that stuff, and we’d probably be purchasing them now, if either of us had room. My CDs are in the closet behind me, Corey’s I believe they’re in his basement. Both of our collections are out of sight. Lack of physical space in both situations. Having the physical product & liner notes are the main reason we both bought CDs or Vinyl, mostly CDs.

I still purchase music from iTunes, since I know it’s mine & will be forever. Corey pays $9.99/month (I think it is) to stream his music through Apple Music. Yes, in the end I pay more for my music, $0-$50 a month. Both methods have their pros & cons to them. A ton of it is financial. Streaming music is cheaper, no argument there, that’s a blatant fact. If your OK with streaming music go ahead. Streaming music to me feels more like “renting” music. Just because I don’t actually own it. Corey made a good point though. Nobody’s going to take away the music. If Apple Music goes down or all of the streaming sites go down, a new software will pop up & carry on. Solid point! My view is that we’ve always been able to own our music, why do we have to “rent” it now?

Either way is great for the consumer, but terrible for the musicians. The amount of money going to the musicians that made it is now a fraction of what it used to be. Why did all of the 1980s L.A. metal bands become filthy rich but a new band releasing their first – fifth album will likely never attain the financial wealth for creating music?

It doesn’t really matter how you get you’re music. Musicians aren’t making money on it.

Really? 182 days before the Presidential election. Are voters still unsure of who they’ll vote for? As a Canadian I’m getting REALLY tired of the campaign which has turned into a circus, & forced upon Canadians. I don’t think I’ll last 182 more days?

Give it some time to load the crap load of links please?

I to fall asleep to “Coldplay” the album “A Head Full of Dreams”, “Megadeth” the album “Dystopia”, ended up falling asleep to “Opeth” the album “Pale Communion”

I exercised to”Anthrax” the album “For all Kings” that wasn’t long enough so I put on “Dream Theater” the album “Black Clouds & Silver Linings”

Exercise weekly total! 2970 crunches, walking one day 660 meters, 240 squats, 140 leg lifts, & 180 pushups! I figure if Kevin Hart can do 1000 sit ups a day, there’s no reason for me not to try & attain that total. I just have to work up to it. All of that being said, I was so tired yesterday I thought it had to be Friday. I now do 3 or 4 exercises a day not 2 or 3! Minimum of 3.

These are most of the cover songs we played in University. I knew the words for all of them, with the exception of one song. “Whiskey in the Jar” Metallica’s cover of Thin Lizzy. Long song, lyric wise. I know I’ve done this before, but now you should see a preview of the youtube link rather than just the link, I hope! I still have our set list from “Beerfest” at the U of R from 2002, this is it.

We did this as a punk version!

And we’d mix in our 7 original songs. We then learned about 4-6 other songs. I remember learning these 2.

So Kim Kardashian posted a nude selfie. I didn’t see it nor do I care to. I don’t follow her on facebook because I don’t care to. I don’t know what the big deal is but it made it’s way to “The Ellen Degeneres Show” yesterday, and I still don’t care. A boob is a boob, a WHOHAA is a WHOHAA.

Jose Bautista stated publicly that he gave the President & the General Manager of the Toronto Blue Jays a non negotiable contract at the start of spring training.  Now it’s rumored that he will negotiate.  This is his last year on his current contract.  So why the change all of a sudden?  Is he worried he over priced himself?  he’s 35 or 36 years old.  I’d offer him 3 years at $25 million/year, then 2 option years at $20 million & the last year at $18 million.  If that’s not enough, let him test the free agent market at the end of the year or trade him at the trade deadline at the end of July

However you’re getting this, please pass it along?

Broken bones will heal. Words can hurt, especially if the victim has a good memory & tends to dwell on such things. Swearing is just words, I don’t mind them, they’re words with no meaning for me. I’m not going to use them since the entire world has labeled them as bad. If you’re offended by profanity, that’s fine…………..I get it. You’re the one who has defined it as a bad word, not me. This may seem odd to many but if you want to hurt ME in particular, swearing has little to no effect on me.

I fell asleep to “I Mother Earth” the album “Scenery + Fish”

I Mother Earth is marking this year as the 20th anniversary of “Scenery + Fish” playing the entire album front to back & some other stuff!!!!! “Scenery + Fish” was their break through album, their 2nd of 4 albums released when I was 16 years old. It went triple platinum in Canada! This also marks 20 years since they played in Saskatchewan. I saw them at the age of 16 in Saskatoon on the tour for this album!

Hi everyone…yes been a bit quiet around here lately. That is about to change. 2016 is shaping up to be a pretty cool year for us and we just wanted to tell you a bit of what’s going on. This year is actually the 20th anniversary of our 2nd album, Scenery & Fish. That album did some pretty damn good things for us and took us around the world. It went triple platinum here in Canada, with four singles released from it. That shit just doesn’t happen anymore. So… we thought we’d celebrate a little. We’re hitting the road with S+F 20 Celebrating 20 years of Scenery & Fish. We’re going to play the whole album front to back as well as a bunch of other stuff to round the night out. A nice long evening with your pals, The Mothers. We have other announcements to come that fall under the S & F umbrella so please stay tuned…We’ve been busy. Anywhoo, here are the first couple of shows announced, more to come. Yell if you want us. Friday April 22, O’Brian’s Event Centre, Saskatoon. Saturday April 23, Casino Regina, Regina”

Nickelback” start work on new album.

Yes, I know it’s the “in” thing to hate “Nickelback”, what’s the point though? How about just don’t listen to them. I’m not a fan either. I like “Foo Fighters”, “Big Wreck”, “Alter Bridge”, “Tool”, etc. There’s likely at least 5 haters for every fan of these bands.

10 years” are back. I didn’t even know they were gone, I’ve never heard of them?

Ben of “Breaking Benjamin” covers “Korn”

Top 10 important rock albums. I don’t necessarily listen to all of these, but I’d have to agree with this list. You could easily add more. The BIG ones for me are Nirvana, Radiohead, & Led Zeppelin! Just the “Physical Graffiti album from Led Zeppelin. Why aren’t the Rolling Stones on here?

I always get these 2 songs messed up. Just because they both have “rain” in the title. No Slayer’s not one of them.

Top Gun sequel is being discussed.
