I fell asleep to “Smashing Pumpkins” the album “SHINY & OH SO BRIGHT VOL. 1 / LP: NO PAST.  NO FUTURE. NO SUN”

I exercised to “Muse” the album “Simulation Theory”

Please donate to the Canadian Red Cross for my birthday on January 30th?  Still 7 weeks left to donate.  I don’t even know whose blood is in me, however, it did save my life.  The goal is $1000, just started & were at $60.  I used to donate blood, but now I can’t.  Donate money, blood, refreshments after a blood donation, or any way you can, please?

Kim told me on the weekend not to make any plans, so I didn’t.  She comes home from work yesterday & tells me “We’re going here on this day & here after that, then these people are coming here & later on these people are coming here.”  She’s hilarious, but it’s all marked down & I’m up for it.  This is why I let her make the plans or include her in an email or Facebook message.

She’s working from home today.  She’s been feeling like there’s a cold coming on since Sunday.

Every day I think to myself “I’ll take it easy on myself”.  Then I go all out to achieve the amount I have set out for myself.  I do the full amount & realize that “OH SNAP, I’ll be sore tomorrow”!  I didn’t pace myself in to this year, I just went all out beginning January 2nd, that was dumb on my part.  Not too painful to stop, just enough to tell my body “HEY, IDIOT, PACE YOURSELF!”

No hot water Monday.  1 of the 2 water heaters died aka I festered in my filthy sweat all day.  Tuesday it was replaced aka then I smelled & felt better!  On Tuesday, I did crash my head on the inside top of the fridge.  I need to stand up for something on the top shelf of the fridge, 2nd shelf of the upper cupboards, or the 2nd shelf of the pantry.

I guess I’d better get my sorry butt to the movies.  I missed “Bohemian Rhapsody” in the theaters & “Aquaman” could be missed in theaters also!

We did watch “Bird Box” on Netflix.  I highly recommend it.  It’s a thriller, not a horror movie.

Hear the late Chester Bennington on Lamb of God guitarist, Mark Morton’s, solo album.

Here’s part of the reason I have issues with country music.  The main reason is, it’s pop music with a thick Southern accent.  I really have issues with any Southern accent.  Kim was listening to the audiobook for “The Help” & then the movie, I couldn’t handle the southern accent, but I made it through the movie.

Also, someone please explain to me how does Carrie Underwood, Lady Antebellum & many more fit into the country music genres?  How different is their music to Taylor Swift’s pop now or Taylor Swift’s country & now pop?

I know I’ll get some backlash on this since I listen to metal & rock.  I’ll take some older style country music.  Like the Walmart yodeling kid.  At least he’s doing actual country music instead of generic pop music with a twang.

Here’s a country music fan on the state of country music.

Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, & Anthrax.  I like all 4 bands, Slayer in small doses though.  They’re all great & I think out of the 4 Metallica might be the most remembered when they retire.  Slayer are on their final tour.

My question is, are Metallica a metal band, a rock band or am I jaded?  In Regina our rock station only plays the odd Metallica song, but nothing from the other bands in the big 4.  Is it because they’re generic enough to play on the radio or because they’re a house hold name?  I can guarantee you’ll never hear the other 3 bands on the radio in Regina, maybe Anthrax but not likely.  Another question, why wasn’t it the big 5?  Pantera was a power house, they should have been included!

I’ve heard many songs from Metallica on the radio though, I like Metallica I’m not trying to dump on them.

Now, with Slayer retiring, who will take their place in the big 4?  I’ve heard other people mention Lamb of God, which would be great for me, but not for other fans of metal.

Don’t worry, these are the radio friendly rock songs by Metallica.

So, would you classify these songs as metal or rock?  These are some of the Metallica songs that are played on the radio.  I’d put their first 5 albums & the recent album as metal, pretend St. Anger was never made & call the other albums rock albums.  How would you break them down?

Please share this, I’m not profiting from this at all.  Word of mouth is the only way of promoting this.
