Even by Wednesday this week I had some decent energy.  I’m pretty sure those new night time anti-depressants are doing the trick.  Pretty consistent week for getting up by 7:30-8:00 & getting things done.  Might also be that I don’t go to the washroom 4 times a night to pee?  I’m on a medication for my bladder as well.  Before it was a rush to the bathroom & very often.  I still drink 3-5 liters of water a day.  I go to the washroom a lot but not nearly as much & it’s not nearly as urgent.  The downside to my bladder pills is that if I don’t drink enough water, I get dry mouth in a bad way.

I accidentally dropped my new sleeping pill under the bed Wednesday night.  I was far too lazy to look for whatever pill I dropped & went to bed.  I found out the hard way it was my sleeping pill………….awake until shortly after 1:00 am, but out of bed by 7:50 am.

I really don’t like day time baseball games.  One on Wednesday starting at 11:00 am & 2 games on Thursday starting at 11:00 am.  That means I didn’t play my guitar on Thursday & only a small amount on Wednesday.  I just unplug or don’t play after 8:30 pm since were in an apartment style condo.  Just watching TV makes me anxious.  I feel like I should be doing something, I get fidgety after 30 minutes.

Kim called the police yesterday.  She was forwarded to a messaging service for the evidence department.  So no word yet on a retrieval of the bike?  She also doesn’t see the point in getting a new bike this year.  She says she won’t have much time to ride it since she’ll probably put it away come mid-September.

We had a nice visit with our friends from Edmonton Wednesday night.  Haven’t seen them in 2 years & a lot has happened since then!  Good to catch up.  No we didn’t visit here.  Too many seniors in our building, instead my parents were kind enough to let us use their back yard tented patio area to visit outside while distancing.  They picked up their supper, we got ours, had supper & a lengthy chat while Brewster got to be free in the backyard.  Brewster was quite tired.  He didn’t get out of bed until 2:30 pm yesterday when I woke him up as I checked on him.  He moved from our bed to his kennel when we got up in the morning.

I’ve been anxiously waiting for this day.  One of us should get an email later on today letting us know my new guitar is here!  If it gets here today, I’ll be watching baseball tonight while playing it unplugged!  This might call for some rum on the rocks?!?!  I really don’t like playing guitar with any alcohol in my system though.

S2 Custom 22 Semi-Hollow Body Guitar w/Gig Bag - McCarty Sunburst

Strap locks shouldn’t be a big deal on a PRS, apparently the strap buttons are quite large.  I should be getting the beer bottle sealers that we ordered in June this month from amazon.  Then I just need new strings for 3 guitrars here.  I’ve already done my acoustic & my 7 string seems fine for now.  So if I do the other 3 I should be good for quite a while!

From the looks of things the amplifier is looking more & more like it won’t happen,  just so we can pay into my Retirement Disability Savings Plan (RDSP).  I’ve got an amplifier so I’d rather buy the guitar & put money away for when I’m 60.  The amplifier would be really good, but if I have to pick one, it’s this guitar hands down!

I guess there are money issues when you have money (I wouldn’t know personally) & when you don’t?

I thought this would be a fairly straight forward easy song…………OH HOW I WAS WRONG!  Weird tuning, chords I’ve never seen before, layered guitar tracks, & mostly individual notes throughout.  Good song to learn different stuff from though!

I wen’t deeper into the guitar part since I don’t sing anymore.

Constantly playing stuff I’ve learned.

Just started learning this the other day

…& always playing stuff from the 2nd, 3rd, & 4th Foo Fighters albums.

Music throughout the weekend.  “Finger Eleven”, “Paramore”, “Nothing But Thieves”, “Tool”, “Barenaked Ladies”, & “Slayer”

Our “niece” came over Friday night for a sleep over at “auntie” Kim’s & “uncle” Chris’.  They went shopping & bought the necessary stuff to make her slime glittery & cool looking for her.  While they were out shopping, I hung out with Brewster & watched the baseball game.  The kids (Toronto Blue Jays) will be fine in a couple of years, home runs everywhere.

I woke up Saturday morning & had breakfast with Kim & Hannah.  They went shopping again, for a variety of things.

I had a realization when they left & I was doing the dishes.  I become a Dad OMG!  I’m the guy that says “Hannah” in that dad disciplinary tone.  Before they went to bed Friday, Hannah & I watched some Bugs Bunny & Elmer Fudd cartoons.  It was part of that “Oh I can do this now” realization.

The thing that got me was, when she was dropped off here on Friday, her little brother, who is one & 1/2 , saw me on the couch, ran up to me & gave me a hug while smashing his forehead into my mouth.  He was fine, I was in minor pain for a few seconds.  Then he just stood there holding my hand for a while.  That was unexpected & melted me.  Later on Friday I went up to Hannah & said “What the heck?  Your brother gave me a hug, what about you?”  I got a hug & another one when they went shopping Saturday morning.  Yes, I have Saskatchewan Roughrider green finger nails at the moment & my left hand has sparkly green nail polish on the nail.  Both are very close to the 2 shades of green on my wheelchair.

So why don’t we have a child?  TONS of work in the beginning, much easier now.

Kim & I spent the rest of the day on the couch.  We watched “Avengers: Endgame”, Kim watched the show “Life in Pieces” on Netflix.  I did fixed some files on iTunes.  We went to bed early at 10:00 pm.

Today I went to see “Spiderman Far From Home” with Mitch & Rachel.  I already have my eggs boiled, my juice made, & my laundry folded.  Kim went for groceries on Saturday & has some stuff of her’s to deal with on her side of the bedroom, which I can’t get to.

Great movie!  I’m not giving any spoilers away though!

“Slayer” must be a little too scary for NASCAR.  That’s OK, sometimes they’re a bit too much for me!

YAY Led Zeppelin!

Only in Eastern Canada, not anywhere West of Ontario!  It’s quiet in Western Canada, literally!  Frogs & crickets at night in the smaller towns.

Our friends got married to one of their songs.  Honestly, that’s why I know who they are.  I only own 2 of their albums out of how many, I don’t know?  They’re a ska band.  A trio out of Toronto I believe.  Catchy for sure.  I started listening to them again a couple of months ago.

I really don’t care for a week of just stretching & not doing much for exercise.  I feel incredibly guilty.  I keep thinking “I should be exercising”.   Everything feels OK, but next week will be more of a buildup week, a week to gradually get up to my exercise goals.  My body can’t just “automatically” flip a switch & go all out.  I’d love for that to happen, but I’d end up in the same place I am now.  I really don’t need that to happen.

Some people tend to think my life is a cake walk, super easy, fantastic retirement.  That is so not the case!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  When I get up at 6:00 or 7:00 am, I get up & go ass much & as fast as I can.  Honestly, I’m more stressed now than I’ve ever been!  In the end it’s my fault, I always expect more/better from myself (self-inflicted stress).

LANGUAGE IN THE FIRST VIDEO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In Flames shared it!  November 11th people!

Yep, lots of Chicago Cubs news, it has been 108 years I guess!

The Agonist shared it…..

Being beside drummer, Danny Carey of Tool, during a drum solo would be AWESOME!!!  Lucky kid!  Video inside the link.

Yeah, I watched the CMAs/Country Music Awards.  I’m not much of a country music fan, I watched it so I could hang out with my wife.  How did a rock & metal fan marry a country music fan?  Good thing all of her other attributes shine brighter than her taste in music.  At least the Dixie Chicks performed & Zac Brown Band were nominated.

This “Zac Brown Band” album “Jekyll & Hyde” is just as good as the “Lamb of God” album “VII: Sturm Und Drang” to me.

Conan & Ryan Reynolds scene from the “Notebook 2”

“Shit spackled freckle fart” quote from one of my now 3 favourite movies.  Here’s another hint.  “When WHAM! Earned the exclamation mark”

“Final piece of the puzzle”-Big Wreck.  Music from, what I assume, will be their near future release?!

Tony Iommi on the future of Black Sabbath

Third Ion……………….LANGUAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I guess using foul language solidifies your life as a metal/rock musician.  I only swore on stage if it was a lyric in a cover song.  BECAUSE IT’S NOT NEEDED OTHER WISE.  In the end it’s the group/musicians show.  If I’m offended by the language used, whoever it is has my money, & I have every right to leave, or not attend or purchase a ticket.  That being said, if language mattered to me I’d never see Foo Fighters live.

She was in the “Larry Flint” movie.  I never saw it or heard any complaints about her performance.

Kim has today off, E.D.O., she’s out getting groceries.  I’m stretching & taking care of the dishes among other stuff rocking out to “Iron Maiden” & “Barenaked Ladies”

I’ll catch you Sunday!!!
