Do you have a question about stage 4 brain cancer?  Ask if you do!

5 day exercise total; 600 leg lifts, 450 crunches, 450 squats, 300 back flexes, 475 curls, 150 tricep lifts w/ weights,  yoga, & stretching.  I’m still trying to figure out the numbers with the weights.

I fell asleep to “Them Crooked Vultures”, followed “The Watchmen” the album “Silent Radar”

I exercised to.  Nothing totally forgot to grab the remote before I started exercising

I don’t mind this exercise stuff at all.  I do feel better & more alert a few minutes after I exercise.  Like having a cup of coffee in the morning.  I drink very little coffee lately.  I’m not sure why, I just don’t crave it & with the combination of coffee & my pills, I get dry mouth.  Even with just my pills, the only side effect I notice is dry mouth.  Coffee just adds to the problem.

I was speaking with a friend of mine who is a body builder regarding my eating habits.  I’m not trying to look beefy, just wanting to stand on my own.  I’m almost doing what he recommended.  I just need to have small meals 6 times a day instead of the 5 I have during the day.  He didn’t say this but I need my sugar intake to decrease & stick to just natural sugar such as fruit & not ice cream or cookies as often.

Weekends I’ll have a minimal amount of alcoholic beverages, like 4 for the weekend on occasion I’ll avoid it on a weekend, & have no desire for it.

I’m not really cutting anything out, just paying attention as to what & how much of it I’m putting into my body.

8 weeks until they can fix our air conditioner.  They need to order a valve from Texas.  Our building manager went out of his way to buy us a portable air conditioner.  He didn’t have to do that, but we’re happy he did that for us.

Something is EXTREMELY wrong/not working with my Facebook account since March or April?  I’ve sent Facebook many messages asking if they could please fix the problem, but it seems as though they’re not willing to fix the problem I’m having.

I got my brand new iPod touch that you’ll need for the update in the fall. It holds 256 GB.  All of my iTunes are on it (128 G) & it loaded very fast Wednesday evening, when Kim & I set it up & had to switch our home sharing to 2 apple IDs.  I was the second user on her account before.  Everything is great with it, now I just have to learn how to use a touch screen.  I’ve used my father’s cell to text mom on our way home from Calgary & I really don’t like using them.  Apple should bring back the iPod Classic.

Brian Doherty (Big Wreck 2nd guitarist) lost his battle with cancer.  R.I.P.  Thanks for the music you left us with.  You will be missed.

Pre-Season CFL football Thursday evening.  YAY it’s back!  Roughriders lost but it was a very entertaining game regardless.  Winnipeg beat us 35W-29L.  It’s only pre-season though.  I missed the Jays game Thursday night though.

An American metal band out of Virginia.  The group consists of 4 people but it has been a revolving door of members.  Other than that, I really don’t know much about them.  I have 2 albums by them.  Their albums are titled as colours.  I have an album called “Purple” & a double album called “Yellow & Green”.  Others on iTunes are “Blue Record”, “Red”, & “Gold & Grey” which is currently available for preorder June 14th.  I bought these 2 albums long before my wife had an Apple Music account.  The preview on iTunes suckered me in.  They’re not terrible albums, they just don’t have much lasting power to make me go back & listen to them.

2015   PURPLE

The more you share this, the more readers I get.  No, I’m not profiting from this in any way.  I can’t tell who’s reading this but thank you!

Why did this become a music blog?  “Because music is a BIG @#!$%^*&( DEAL”-Dave Grohl

“I feel good about the good things, & bad about the bad things”-Dave Grohl

Stay safe out there,

I fell asleep to “Eagles of Death Metal” the album “Death by Sexy”

I exercised to ”Corrosion of Conformity” 6 albums on shuffle.

Exercise total for the week; 5000 crunches, 180 squats, 120 leg lifts, 60 pushups, 20 minutes of planking.

Now I just want to curl up in the fetal position on the couch & cry. My muscles are that sore.

Yes, this is also on facebook if you prefer.

www.amillionmilesawayblog.com for email

All of this exercise & you’d think I’d look ripped! Not so. I still have more T-Shirts that don’t fit than those that do fit. I’m much lighter than I was going into the hospital than I am now. I was 265 pounds, right now I’m somewhere close to 240 as of a few weeks ago. My frame is quite big, I’ll never be under 200. I think somewhere between 210-220 is where I should be. At the moment my dominant/right calf looks like a chicken wing after you’ve striped the meat off of it. My left calf looks decent. Either way my legs are SEXY……………….a little furry but still SEXY!

I think I’ve figured out what the most beneficial exercises are for me at the moment. Squats, exercise bike, walking, stairs, leg lifts on my hands & knees, crunches. I need some more upper body strength but that’s not high on my priority list at the moment. I’m in not bad shape, for a guy in a wheelchair, but all of my weight/fat went right to my belly.

I graduated high school at 185 pounds. When I got to University I read my text books every night but I’d need a study break. I’d leave the book open on my desk in my room & grab 20 pound weights, do 20 curls on each arm, some sit ups & push ups. I take a study break & do that about twice a day/evening. I remember I’d ride the exercise bike in the basement while watching a movie & ride it for however long the movie was.

Register to vote for your favourite song, band or live band. I didn’t but I know who I’d like to win for best live band! I’ve only seen them once, but I’m not done seeing them live!

Baroness release new video. I really like their most recent album “Purple”

Cheap Trick interview with Consequence of Sound on their induction to the Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame

REALLY! This needs to change like before Napster happened. $0.99 FOR A 15 SONG ALBUM ON SPOTIFY??????? Tell your employer you’ll work for 3-4 months for $0.99. Musicians are doing it, might as well join in???????????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Or rent the album 20 times????????

Star Wars: Episode VII was fantastic in the theater & also at home with surround sound. Now I should watch “Top Gun” with our surround sound!!!!

I wonder if the sequel will be any good?

3 versions of the same song & it’s just an extremely catchy song to me in any form!!

Oh yeah, that little TV show ended last night maybe you’ve heard of it? American Idol. I’ve watched it occasionally over the years. Didn’t watch the first season at all. I just really liked some of the stuff Kelly Clarkson released & I saw Phillip Phillips a few years ago. The guy who always gets compared to Dave Matthews. Other than that, I just found it to be a talent contest on a LARGE stage. 3 or 4 judges narrow it down to the top 10 they like, then they tell you ‘OK, these 10 we deem worthy of winning this contest. Great marketing tool, but the subject is/was as subjective as it gets. I would have an idea as to who would win & it was never who I had chosen in my mind. They’re all good at what they do, I don’t necessarily like it all. How many of the musicians I listen to would do well on the show, other than the 2 winners I do listen to? Maybe 2 or 3 at best?

This is how fast I’ll abandon my computer today. I have no cell phone or tablet/iPad, catch you on the weekend update! Monday, I haven’t decided yet if I’ll be online at all?

However you’re getting this, please pass it along?

I fell asleep to “Trivium” the album “Silence in the Snow”

I exercised first to “Queens of the Stone Age” the album “Rated-R” then “Kyuss” the album “Blues for the Red Sun”

You’ve probably never heard of “Kyuss” unless you’re a huge fan of “Queens of the Stone Age” or “Foo Fighters”. “Kyuss? Was Josh Homme’s group before he started “Queens….”. If you watched the ‘Sonic Highways’ mini series Foo Fighters have a song called “Outside”. “Kyuss” practiced in the middle of the desert out side of L.A. because they were too loud to rehearse in a house, to close to neighbours.

I use both. I don’t understand or care to understand how anybody can be just on facebook? Why do you need an email for an email with limitations? Not everybody’s on facebook? Very few people send a private message on facebook. Yes, social media has it’s place. Most of the info on this blog is from facebook, that being said I could likely get all of this info by subscribing to 30+ newsletters. I assume the only problem with that is that they would all come at the end of the day, then you’d be getting yesterdays music/pop culture news. I guess all I’m trying to say is email vs. facebook isn’t a contest, they both have pros & cons.

Korn & Rob Zombie announce co-headlining tour for 2016

Batman vs. Superman article with the actress playing Wonder Woman

Chris Cornell (Soungarden singer) at the Conexus Arts Center in Regina. Tuesday, July 26th @ 6:30 pm

I don’t like this 2nd version of “Blown Wide Open”. I prefer his original version with Big Wreck from 1997. He ruined his own song?

Stone Temple Pilots search for a singer ended Monday night

“Today is the day. The last day to submit. We are moved by all of your submissions and efforts. Thank you. We have been looking and listening to thousands of you with still more to see and hear. Some great talent. If you have already submitted…we thank you. If not…today is the last day and we thank you as well. We hope to see you soon.

All of Chris Cornell’s North American tour dates for 2016

Former Rolling Stones’ bassist, Bill Wyman, diagnosed with prostate cancer.

John Legend on Jimmy Kimmel

I Mother Earth shared this. This album was released 20 years ago.

I never really got into Nine Inch Nails. When I hear, it doesn’t bother me, then I think to myself “Why were they so successful in the ’90s? I don’t know, they’re alright”.

Stephen Colbert on Donald Trump

The 1975 are good but not very well known yet.

I fell asleep to “Lacuna Coil” the album “Broken Crown Halo”

I exercised to “Baroness” the double album “Yellow & Green”

“The Odds” were great way back when. I’ve got their first 4 CDs. I’m good though with that & yes I still listen to them every now & then. I saw them live when I was in high school. I don’t think I need to see them again.

Masterpiece review of David Bowie by Consequence of Sound

I don’t know much about the NFL, I’d have to go with Joe Montana on this one as the greatest quarterback, at least in my lifetime so far.

I know where I won’t be, since I don’t have a current passport & I’m not a fan of “Rammstein “ in the least, never have been. If you like them & want to go to Chicago, cool with me!

Why do the members of “Slipknot” wear masks? LANGUAGE!!!!!

Yes, my passport is expired, I’ll likely never have a license, I exercise 5 days a week for at least an hour & I’m 36 years old now & have to really watch what I eat. That’s fine with me, but I do worry about Kim she needs a break…………………….from everything!!!!!!

Seattle, “Pentatonix” are coming

Rob Halford of “Judas Priest” plays rapid fire

“Politicians” I don’t follow them. SURPRISE!!! Now the people that voted for the Federal election are complaining. You voted, I didn’t. Good for you!!!!! Less stress for me!

“Opeth” helping out!!!

Donald Trump takes New Hampshire

Hopefully good news for the Toronto Blue Jays although he won’t be expected to play until May. When he was injured & wasn’t coming back last year, he was leading all of the rookies in almost all categories. I want to know what’s going to happen with Ryan Goins? His defense is far to good to sit on the bench as a utility infielder.

Devon Travis highlight reel

You don’t give the audience a Nazi salute then shout “White Power”, never, don’t ever do that!

Here you go Gwen Stefani fans. I’ll take “Bush” & “No Doubt” no solo stuff from Gwen though.

Metal cameos on TV. Mine is below.

This decision will make it worse.

Oh, Mayim Bialick
