I fell asleep to “Foo Fighters” the album “Sonic Highways”, “The Damned Things” their only album “Ironiclast”

Don’t feel as though you have to click on every link.

Diets, they have their place.  In the end it comes to self-control & will power.  I’m not considering ever going on a diet.  I exercise 5 days a week (not at the moment with my pinched nerve) & I watch what I eat & as far as alcohol goes 2 drink on Friday & 2 on Saturday.  Some weekends nothing at the odd celebration 3 or 4.  My meals are fairly healthy as well.  Hardboiled egg & a juice I’ve made of fruits & vegetables for breakfast, usually a fish filet for lunch or something like a chicken breast & quinoa.  Then supper which is also healthy since my wife is watching her weight as well.  We try not to keep stuff full of sugar or fat in the house, & we rarely have bread around.  We’re not the healthiest people in the world, we eat potato chips, chocolate, & other junk food.  Just everything in moderation.

For me, having survived cancer was a good wake up call.  I got lucky & got a second chance at life.  I figure I should pay close attention to what nourishment I put in my body.  I don’t eat stuff I don’t like, I try to find a healthier option.  As for exercise, I’ve got the time to do it!

I understand the need for a weight loss program but you won’t eat that way forever.  It’s more of a push in the right direction to choose your options wisely when eating or going to the grocery store.

I graduated high school in June 1998 at 185 pounds.  For me to be under 215 or 220 would look weird.  I don’t really know what I am weight wise at the moment, I’m guessing I’m still around the 230 area?  The exercise I do is more for me being more mobile & independent surviving cancer, the weight loss is more of a byproduct.

Yes, it is slightly more expensive to eat healthy but I think it’s worth it.  I’d rather die much later than sooner!

I fell asleep to “Boston” their self-titled album, followed by “Alter Bridge” the recent album “The Last Hero”.  Woke up at 2:30am in pain, moved to the couch and listened to “The Damned Things” the album “Ironiclast” followed by “Metallica” the album “Hardwired………to Self-Destruct”

I’m just doing light exercising today, just to get my leg moving.  To this music “Chromeo” the album “White Women”

I did more exercise/stretching than usual yesterday leg lifts, calf raises, & other stretches.  A little bit until it hurt, then repeated it later.  Not much new here, just trying to get my leg/nerve ache to go away.  It doesn’t hurt al of the time, when I stand transferring to bed, the washroom, or the couch, I know I’ve got about 10 seconds before my foot starts to tingle.

Did anyone catch President Barak Obama’s Farewell Address?  There’s a reason I’m not a speech writer, I could’ve written his speech in a very few comments.  “Goodbye.  Good luck. I love my family.  I’m moving to a different country.  Obama out!  (Drop the mic)”

I would likely get bored with this album if I had it.  It won best video of 2016 at the www.loudwire.com awards though.

Even listening to it for this short amount of time, I know I wouldn’t listen to it, just not for me.

New Big Wreck song

I think he’s a fan of Led Zeppelin’s “Houses of the Holy”

He called it!  “Physical Graffiti” is my favourite Led Zeppelin album.  I immediately thought of the song “Houses of The Holy” when he said “Physical Graffiti”!

10 facts about “Tool”

NO, THIS ISN’T FAKE!!  WATCH THE VIDEO ABOVE FIRST, THIS IS A REAL SONG!!!!!!

I realized that two of my favourite albums are 20 years old this year!!! Man I’m old and one is 30 years old this year. Big Wreck’s debut album & Foo Fighters’ “The Colour & The Shape” turn 20.  U2’s “The Joshua Tree” is 30 years old this year.  All 3 were/are BIG albums for me!!!

The one thing about my music is I never put my entire library of music on my iPod on shuffle!!!

BASEBALL ALL-STAR GAME

Why does the All-Star game determine anything? The winner, American league or National league, gets home field advantage in the World Series in October? Why not have it be whichever of the 2 teams, in the World Series, with the better W-L record gets 4/7 games of the World Series in their ball park. Aren’t all-star games supposed to be fun, light hearted, & mostly for the fans? I didn’t watch the game or Monday’s home run derby. I love baseball, but I only follow the Blue Jays. I watch as many of the 162 games, they play each year, as possible. If I’m doing something else, I record Blue Jays in :30. Not as much fun for me as watching the entire game.

Lots of people find it boring which is fine, I get that. It’s as much if not more of a mental game. You have to be thinking of where you need to be for every scenario on every pitch. If you’re a player on the field not moving on every pitch you’re doing something wrong. My last 2 years of competitive baseball, I played 3rd base. As a fielder, my brain was working on “overdrive” for each pitch. I was thinking about what to do in the multiple situations that could occur if there was a ball in play & I was always on the front part of my feet slowly inching towards the ball. I couldn’t hit to save my life, fielding, for me, was much easier. I learned after a couple of years to attack the baseball in the field, it’s not going to hurt me.

I hope that whoever is watching Blue Jays Central, the pre-game show, is taking Gregg Zaun’s opinion with a grain of salt. I disagree with 80% of what he says, so make up your own mind. He’s a former catcher, when was the last time he played any position in a meaningful game other than catcher or hitter? Catching, hitting, & pitching are the few things I don’t know much about, that’s where I respect his criticism. He’s doing his job well though, I’m talking about him, but TV dives aren’t a real thing. Ever lost your balance while concentrating on a tiny ball as it comes closer to you? I’d dive or run into a fence to field a ball, & I wasn’t on TV? I guess I was playing the game wrong?

Big Wreck live! Rock on wit your bad self \m/! When did bass solos become cool?

Weird, sounds like a desperate move that isn’t needed? “Come to my wedding reception, even though I don’t know you from a hole in the ground”?

Radio interview with members of Finger Eleven. Album out Friday, July 31st. Two other songs released with an iTunes pre-order sound more like the older 3 albums & not the last 2 albums.

OK, question I saw on www.loudwire.com. Who is your preferred band to see live Foo Fighters or Pearl Jam? I’ve seen Pearl Jam twice & Foo Fighters 3 times. It’s a very tough decision for me. My first Pearl Jam show was in the summer of 2005 in Saskatoon, my first Foo Fighters show was at the Summersault festival in Saskatoon in the summer of 2000. I think I’d have to go with Foo Fighters since they just play for a minimum of 3 hours. I love both bands live or on a recording!

On Monday night’s Jimmy Fallon his musical act was “Echoesmith”. I misunderstood him, then he showed the cover of the vinyl album & repeated their. For 2-3 seconds I though “Cool, Aerosmith”! Nope totally different, but still really good!

I didn’t know they sang that song until just now.  I’m not a cool kid!

Scott Weiland talks about the death of Kurt Cobain. Scott, just stop drinking & doing heroin. I don’t believe that you’ve kicked the habit. You are the modern day Axl Rose from the late ’80s & early ’90s.

Arcade Fire to release feature film in September.

Joe Dirt 2………..gotta see it. I loved the first one! I hope this will be on iTunes, we don’t subscribe to Crackle, just Netflix.

I’d really like Kelly Clarkson to be near Regina with Pentatonix opening for her on the current tour! I assume this would be a FANTASTIC concert!

New music for me starts on Friday & then the following 2 Fridays. “Highly Suspect”, Lamb of God”, & “Finger Eleven” 17th, 24th , & 31st. 5 songs from Highly Suspect on the pre-order from iTunes, 4 from “Lamb of God”, & 3 from “Finger Eleven”

Billy Corgan, Smashing Pumpkins, gets writing credit for a current song.

So many movies I’d like to see! Joe Dirt 2, Sisters, Trainwreck, Star Wars in 2017 (I think I peed a bit when I saw the trailer for it), etc. LANGUAGE!!!!

Looking at this list, I should have been at Comic-Con in San Diego, Third Ion should have been there too. When a band is influenced by video games, that would be THE place to be!

I fixed my iTunes on Sunday & ended up doing some tweaking, not twerking, to it on Monday, now all is well other than the recent release by Barenaked Ladies “Silverball”. It will play everywhere but on our TV? My computer & iPod, Kim’s computer, Phone, iPad & car radio. Just not our TV?
