Do you have a question about stage 4 brain cancer?  Ask if you do!

Music throughout the weekend.  “I Mother Earth”, “Anthrax”, “Coheed and Cambria”, & “3 albums by The Watchmen”.

Friday evening Kim went straight from work to our friends’ house to babysit the kids as our friends were at a wedding.  I was home with Brewster watching the Saskatchewan Roughrider game in Montreal on TV.  The game was called official & cut short in the 3rd quarter because of a bad storm.  Lightning, thunder, & rain.  First time that’s happened in the CFL.  Riders were ahead at the time, so the Riders won!

Saturday I already made my juice on Thursday, so I boiled my eggs.  Kim & I watched the end of Stephen Colbert, & a condensed baseball game to see one of the NY Yankees go crazy after being tossed out of the game for doing nothing in the dugout.  It was the player beside him on the bench that said “He’s @#$#% terrible” regarding the umpire’s strike zone.  Kim went to see the outdoor “Garth Brooks” concert at the football stadium with 3 other people.  I went to my parents with Brewster.  In retrospect Brewster & I should have stayed home.  He barked constantly because he was always on the wrong side of the backdoor & he has to wear a diaper when he’s inside since he’s almost 14 & started marking in whatever house another dog lives in.

Today Kim’s doing some laundry & Brewster & I might accompany her on a grocery trip?  Then Kim & I plan to relax & watch a movie.

The first album by Alter Bridge, “One Day Remains”, turned 15 on Saturday, August 10th!

OK, Jeffrey Epstein committed suicide while in jail.  The media will have to speak about this.  While doing so, I hope they continue to talk about the mass shootings.  If they don’t, I’m sure nothing will change in regards to gun control.  Any politician that can, will sweep the shootings story under the rug.  So do we talk about a big shot that sexually harassed under age women & committed suicide while in jail, or the multiple people that were victims of the mass shootings?

I have 6 of their albums.  I’m not a huge fan of punk but I do listen to a bit of it, these guys reach my heaviness limit for punk.  I had some “NOFX” & “Fidlar” as well, I just found that too heavy of punk music for me.  I’m much more tolerant of heavy metal music.  All of that being said, I know nothing about this group other than the oldest album I own of theirs was released in 1988.  Here we go, 1 song from each of the 6 albums I have….

1988   SUFFER

1995   ALL AGES

The more you share this, the more readers I get.  No, I’m not profiting from this in any way.  I can’t tell who’s reading this but thank you! Word of mouth is the only way of promoting this.

Why did this become a music blog?  “Because music is a BIG @#!$%^*&( DEAL”-David Eric Grohl

“I feel good about the good things, & bad about the bad things”-David Eric Grohl

“Learn from your mistakes & don’t repeat them”-Chris

Stay safe out there,

And happy “Sharknado: The 4th Awakens”. I wish I was joking, but I’m not. It should be on whatever science fiction channel you have on July 31st?

I fell asleep to“Pentatonix” their self titled debut album of original material. They have 3 previous shorter albums of cover songs.

I exercised to “Bad Religion” about 20 of 22 songs from the album “All Ages”, then about 5 songs from the album “Under the Table & Dreaming” by the “Dave Matthews Band”, then 2 songs from “Dire Straits” the album “Love Over Gold”

I procrastinated a bit by listening to “Foo Fighters” album “Sonic Highways”

Remember most of this is just about me bombing around in a wheelchair, currently t the age of 36, I had stage 4 brain cancer at the age of 28 & I’ve been in a wheelchair since Tuesday, February 5th 2008, & I listen to a pile of music & I have played baseball from the age of 4-17 then I quit because my arm said I had to! Stupid arm!

I know there are people out there that have a much larger music collection than I do. I backed up my iTunes files the other day & I currently own 1180 albums on my iTunes + roughly 300/600 CDs I have yet to put on iTunes.

The majority of info on here is mostly stuff I’m interested in, there’s a lot more info out there that I’m not necessarily interested in. I urge you to look for info you’re interested in &/or let me know what you’d like to see here more & if there’s an artist or group I should know about? Feedback is always welcome!

The rest of our Sunday consisted with butternut squash soup for supper, along with Kim & I watching recorded “Shark Week” shows on our PVR. I think we have 2 or 3 to go still?

Upcoming bands we need to know about? I think I’ve shared this before as well? Sorry if I have?

Yep, I’m pretty sure I’ve seen this before & there wasn’t anything that “caught my eye” or ears

Last Week Tonight with John Oliver

Best Dave Grohl drumming moments 1985-2015

Dave Grohl released the album “Foo Fighters” 21 years ago today in 1995. He recorded the album by himself on every song, one portion of a guitar part was recorded by someone else.

http://www.rollingstone.com/music/features/foo-fighters-19951005 Both articles are quite interesting!

Easily my favourite song on this album!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Below……

I hope this “Alter Bridge” recently signing with a new record company, “Napalm Records”, doesn’t delay the already recorded 5th studio album?

Ah, well played Soundgarden…..

Health or job. Which would you pick? It would be a no brainer for me, HEALTH! Melissa McCarthy!

Oh my” That’s a long link!

Todd Bryanton on drums! The 2nd drummer in our band “Chemical Horizon” & the 1st drummer of “Room 333” when I got sick. Very talented guy!

Toronto Blue Jays GM had a busy week between Tuesday July 28th to the trade deadline at 4:00pm Eastern Friday July 31st. 5 new proven players in 4 days for an All-Star short stop & 11 minor league prospects. Blue Jays acquired arguably the best Short Stop in the game, one of the top 5 starting pitchers in the game & a speedy Left fielder, as well as 2 relief/bullpen pitchers. I think the GM deserves a break including a long nap

Lamb of God album review

Leave him alone, I say. It was 21 years ago in April. Photos or no photos, it doesn’t really matter, he’s not going to “comeback” from the dead?

Bruce Springsteen surprise appearance with U2

I’ve heard their name thrown around but never heard any of the music from “Huntress”. Gut reaction, no thanks.

10 songs about going crazy

How was any song from this album not included? He wrote it in as a patient in an insane asylum?

25 most destructive Guns n’ Roses moments. Even they can’t mess up a good song by Paul McCartney & Wings!

Limp Bizkit can though.

^^Even www.youtube.com couldn’t play the entire Limp Bizkit version! Hahahahaha!

Iron Maiden out September 4th on iTunes, no songs to preview

Trivium out October 2nd, not so sure about this song yet?

2 big albums for me, but I’m going to wait to hear more of both before I even think of pre-ordering them. Iron Maiden tune sounds pretty good though.

Zoolander 2 teaser

10 best Foo Fighters

Nope, it’s subjective & being a HUGE fan it’s a few B-Sides for me.

I’ve managed to find 60 B-Sides, quite a few are cover songs. I have about 40 on single CDs. You know with a song from an album & 2 others that didn’t make the cut to be on the album.

I’m getting really tired of ‘Slayer’. I think I’ll take a year or two off from them?

Top 25 punk albums of all time

I’m not a huge punk fan. I’ve got “Bad Religion” & “The Smalls”, I like them, for me I’d have to go with the watered down “Green Day” ‘Dookie’ album

Story behind the artwork for ‘Nirvana’s’ Nevermind album!

More ‘Led Zeppelin shows? Probably not.

I was expecting a very good album from Mark Tremonti, but his metal/rock album “Cauterize” blew me away.

Disturbed is loud wire’s most anticipated album of the month for August. For me & others that would be setting the bar pretty low. I’m not in my early 20s anymore.

I don’t do album reviews, I recommend stuff I like. Check out the Finger Eleven album “Five Crooked Lines” the last 2 albums were disappointing for me, this feels like more of a return to their first 3 albums just more grown up. The single “Wolves & Doors” for me, is one of the weakest tracks on the album.

New “Dream Theater” album? I didn’t even know! So many surprises this year! It’s coming next year but even that’s just good news!

^^I was hooked on this album when it came out. Everyday at work, I’d listen to it while running my printing press, iPod on in my pocket!

Worst to first Green Day album. I can’t stand “American Idiot”. I’m not a hard core Green Day fan though.

^^Just not my thing.

Pretty quiet weekend here. Some friend came down from Edmonton. There were some Chicken wings that needed to be eaten & some beer that needed to be dealt with. Last night a smoked/BBQ supper out doors wine, beer & an adorable kiddo that has warmed up to “Unkie” Chris. She also put on a dance show after our meal. She’d hit the floor & start kicking her legs then I’d be all “SHE’S BREAK DANCING!”! If she was going to pull off the worm, then she’d blow my mind along with many others!

Day off, couch is looking good to watch some Blue Jay baseball after yesterday’s terrible umpire at home plate! Really, first inning warning to both dugouts after Kansas City throws at the 2nd Blue Jay hitter followed by another hit batter later on, then 2 balls thrown at Josh Donaldson’s head, both in different at bats. Benches cleared, no fight broke out but 2 Blue Jay coach’s & a rookie Blue Jay pitcher tossed from the game after the Blue Jays did nothing in retaliation.

Songs I like. “Muse” Went to a band rehearsal at Todd Bryanton’s, went to the basement to set up my gear & he had “Muse’s” 2nd studio album playing. “Is this Radiohead?” I asked. “It’s Muse” he replied then I went out the next day & bought the CD I heard. Now I have all of the Muse albums on CD other than their recent release “Drones” which I was quite disappointed with, I was expecting more from it.

If Matthew Bellamy wasn’t such a great musician & singer, it may have been a 1 listen & delete album for me?
