Do you have a question about stage 4 brain cancer?  Ask if you do!

I fell asleep to “Queens of the Stone Age” the album “…like Clockwork”

I exercised to “Pretty Vicious” a 4 song EP & multiple singles

+40 Celcius outside, & our A/C isn’t working at all.  I guess that means it’s +29 Celcius in our suite.  This is our 6th summer here & there’s only been 1 summer we haven’t had to call about the A/C not working.  That’s the main reason I exercise ASAP in the morning.  In the winter it will remain +20 Celcius & nobody in the building turns on their boiler heat & the A/C will freeze if we turn it on.  We open our balcony door in the winter just as much as we do for using the BBQ in the summer.

All of our windows face South so it’s usually +20 Celcius or more in here year ‘round without the boiler or A/C on.  I often wish we lived in igloos all year like some other countries assume we do.

We borrowed a fan from my parents on Monday.  By far the best sleep I’ve had in a month!

Chris Adler not up to drumming for “Lamb of God” yet after injury.  There’s an album I can stop waiting for this year.  😦

Billy Joel plays “Pour Some Sugar on me”.  Would be nice if you could hear his piano in the mix.

If you think metal fans are crazy, read this study

I listen to one of the bands mentioned.  I’ve heard a 2 or 3 of the others & I’ve never even heard the name of the majority of other groups.

This is real!  I called the Apple support line regarding this.  iTunes is gone, but the idea of it isn’t.  Anything purchased before or after the Apple update will stream.  Everybody will have the option to buy music or subscribe to the streaming service after the update.  One store, one media player, & 2 ways to attain music, purchase for the entire file or “download” it as a streaming item only.  Nothing is really changing except the software, you will need pretty much anything other than an iPod Classic to stream the music.  I have a new iPod touch coming soon, yet my iPod Classic still works.  For me this is not a big deal.  If you still have an iPod Classic, I recommend you get an iPod Touch, iPhone, switch music players & order CDs from Amazon.  Unfortunately the update does not support the iPod classic.  You’ll need a cell phone or an iPod Touch to use the update.

I think this is a very good move by Apple, since all I use it for is music!  The only downside of this move are the people who have working iPod Classics.  Mine still works but I have an iPod Touch on the way.  The update also includes PC computers.  What I forgot to ask is “If I stream the music I’ve paid for, do I pay the monthly fee to stream it?”  I don’t think that will be the case, but I could be wrong?  If I am wrong, I’ll just use it as a regular iPod classic, if it streams GREAT!  As for the release of the update?  It won’t happen until the fall of this year.

I don’t listen to Disturbed’s music, I haven’t listened to it since I heard their 3rd album & stopped listening to all of their albums.  Their lead singer doesn’t seem to take any criticism well, but he’s not against dishing it out!!!

Yep, the guy from the rap duo “Outkast”.  I bought the album on CD where the 2 of them made an album without the other guy.  I liked the Andree 3000 album more.  “The Love Below” he also acted in the movie “Four Brothers” with Mark Wahlberg.  About 4 adopted boys returning home to find the killer of their foster mother.

Here’s one of their hits as a rap duo.

It took a rocket foul ball to hit a very young child at a baseball game before players reacted saying there needs to be extended netting around the 3rd base & 1st base line.  What did analyst/former backup catcher Gregg Zaun say before he got the boot from Roger’s Media 2 years ago?  Something to the effect of ‘Don’t buy a ticket in that area if you can’t react fast enough for a ball or a bat flying into the stands’.  I don’t like the reason he was fired, sexual misconduct which means there’s at least one victim if not more, but I’m elated he’s gone.  Just sucks that his actions likely made someone a victim.

The more you share this, the more readers I get.  No, I’m not profiting from this in any way.  I can’t tell who’s reading this but thank you! Word of mouth is the only way of promoting this.

Do you have a question about stage 4 brain cancer?  Ask if you do!

5 days of exercise total; 400 pushups, 600 leg lifts, 300 crunches, 300 tricep lifts, 450 squats, 300 back flexes

I fell asleep to “The Struts” the only 2 albums they have out “Everybody Wants” & “Young & Dangerous”.

I exercised to “Kelly Clarkson” the album “All I Ever Wanted”

One thing that I’d like to explain clearly.  There was body shaming going around Kelly Clarkson.  I said that “I’ll never see her so it doesn’t matter” what I meant was, I’ll never see her live & if she’s happy & feels healthy, who cares.  Weight or no weight she still sounds the same.

I did get a little more information from my mother about the day I passed out at work & was diagnosed with stage 4 brain cancer.

Mom was home sick with the flu, Kim, dad, & Mitch were all at work.  It was morning of Tuesday, February 5th.  Time of day is questionable.  I was taken to the Pasqua hospital, Kim came into the back of the Ambulance with me.  They took me to the wrong hospital, I was then taken to the General hospital.  My parents, brother, Sherry & James were all there before us.  I guess my mom was a wreck.  She kept asking if I was there yet.  They kept telling her that I wasn’t.  She then mentioned that her son mass bleeding in his brain.  They told her I was on the way there.

Once I was at the right hospital the surgeon was tied up finishing a lengthy surgery.  I had to wait a bit to have 2 of my 3 brain surgeries.  My brother had to restrain my mother so the doctors could do their job.  He had to tell her that while pulling her back.   I blacked out in the Ambulance before it left the parking lot at work.  So this part of it I don’t remember at all.

I was unconscious for a week in an induced coma & 3 weeks in an un-induced coma.  I was in the ICU that entire time.

My mother wanted to stay once I was in the ICU, she wanted to have someone familiar for me to wake up to.  One of the nurses finally told her to just go home, since I wasn’t going to wake up that day.

The next day, I assume, I had my 3rd brain surgery.  Every night until I woke up, someone was sitting with me in case I woke up after being told I had a 5-15% chance of waking up at all.  Mom, dad, Mitch, & Kim I believe all took turns sitting with me in case I woke up.

I did wake up in the ICU.  I think Kim was just outside of the ICU?  I vaguely remember waking up.  There were a handful of empty beds in the ICU & the nurse brought whoever was there in to see me & knew I wanted to get out of that room.  I was moved to the Pasqua Hospital for recovery & low intensive physiotherapy.  I stayed there for a little more than a year.  Celebrated my 29th birthday in January of 2009 in the auditorium there, with roughly 75 friends & family.  Mom made a TON of chili for everyone, Grandma made 2 big cakes vanilla & chocolate, & a cooler full of pop.  I haven’t walked on my own since the morning of Tuesday, February 5th, 2008.  Ah well, at least I can work on it! This story might never have been told, by me at least.  I don’t remember it well as I get further away from that date.  “In the end it doesn’t even matter.”  I’m here but I don’t remember much of 2008, I was asleep for most of that year.  “You gotta sink before you swim” I guess?

All of this talk of surviving cancer tells me I’m not done here yet!  There’s something else I need to do.

Yep, I planned Valentine’s Day supper for Kim.  A Reservation at her favourite restaurant, & my parents could take Brewster for the evening.  Brewster has serious anxiety issues & can’t be left alone.

On Wednesday she came home from work & decided she’d rather stay in.  Easier to hear me, I have a fairly quiet voice.  Kim came home with Dairy Queen for supper & some DQ ice cream for both of us. We just watched TV & cuddled on the couch.  So, another quiet evening at home.

She also bought me some beer, she knows me all too well!  I don’t drink during the week though.  I’ll try some of the craft beer from “Rebellion Brewing Co.” later on today!

A teaser for the upcoming “Big Wreck” album!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope everyone enjoyed their Valentine’s Day!!!!

I think most of Saskatchewan has heard of the one album I have.  4 guys from Saskatoon did very well for themselves & have around 11 albums in the iTunes store.  My parents had this album, & I’ve had it for a little while too.  I bought mine on iTunes though.  If you live in Saskatchewan you have at least heard a tune or 2 from this album…

I fell asleep to “Big Wreck” the album “Albatross”

I exercised to…..Nothing at all. I did my crunches yesterday & I just need a break from exercising. I’ve had tunnel vision on exercising. I need to stop & smell the roses! I hope they don’t “…smell like poo, poo, poo….”

Wrong week to take off from exercising! The 2 late night talk shows I record, Jimmy Fallon & Conan are both off this week. I’ll grab my kindle & guitar this week? I can’t watch Ellen Degeneres during the day. I watch that with Kim as soon as she gets home!  I’ll be here as usual & keeping up with the blog & emails, etc.  My body could use a break though!

I really try to avoid politics in general. The recent law imposed by Carolina is flat out stupid & I’ll never ever understand the need for it. No it doesn’t affect me personally in any way, but it’s flat out LEGAL discrimination. A few years ago I wanted to see a particular show. It was a big name act, I can’t remember who?

I had the presale password & a gift card for the ticket company. Because I’m in a wheelchair, they told my mother over the phone that presale tickets are not allowed for wheelchair seating. They changed their tune & immediately got the manager on the phone when they heard the word “discrimination”!

Pearl Jam canceled a show in North Carolina because of the new law of HB2. I’m sure many people would agree with this decision!

April 29th!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Next Friday or 12:00 am Eastern time Thursday night on iTunes!!!!

The Mother on ‘Everybody Loves Raymond’ Doris Roberts, died Monday at the age of 90.

Anything Gwen Stefanie has done outside of “No Doubt” is not really up my alley. Here’s her 27 date tour though.

What album are you waiting for this year? I didn’t know ‘Lacuna Coil’ was even releasing an album this year, that’s pleasant surprise! I’m waiting for that, Third Ion, Into Eternity, Tremonti, maybe Tool & maybe Alter Bridge? Possibly more that I’m forgetting, like I heard mention that Pearl Jam might release a new album?

I never understood the attraction to The Deftones? I do know a handful of friends that enjoy them, even my brother put them on as we drove to Winnipeg. They don’t make me cringe or anything, I’d just never purchase an album of theirs. I don’t do reviews, nor do I listen to Deftones. Here’s a review by Mr. Anthony Fantano.

Review on ‘Dust’ album by Tremonti

I agree! Alter Bridge needs to take advantage of the GNR reunion. Lot’s of free time for singer Myles Kennedy since Slash is busy for a while!

I guess today is the 22nd anniversary of “Live” the album “Throwing Copper”. I still like this album!

“Happy 22nd Anniversary Throwing Copper!
