Do you have a question about stage 4 brain cancer?  Ask if you do!

Music throughout the weekend.  “Testament”, “Wide Mouth Mason”, “Nothing but Thieves”, & “Dead Sara”

^^This guy fed me the urge to continue singing after high school.  Still one of my favourite songs.  Dave Grohl made me want to play guitar & be in a band.

Tried to watch the entire Toronto Blue Jays game Friday night, couldn’t do it.  I ended up watching some of “That ‘70s Show” on Netflix & “The Newsroom” on crave.  I might as well have been watching CNN while watching the Jays.  I was screaming at the TV, just like I do watching Trump fumble things constantly.

Our new Toyota RAV4 should be in this week!  I still don’t like that we’re purchasing a new vehicle, when our current is a 2014 Santa Fe, that we’ve had no issues with, but it’s a new vehicle, I am excited about it!

Saturday was a day game in Houston for the Jays.  They didn’t win of course, Houston is currently the best team in baseball, and it was well played game by the Jays, a team full of mostly rookies or players that have been to MLB to fill a spot when needed.

Kim wanted ice cream……………..again.  She went out earlier in the day to the Farmers market to get some fresh vegetables.  She also bought me some new slippers that look more like runners.  We went out for some ice cream & I had found a girly movie she’d like.  We watched the movie, “Five Feet Apart”, then I watched an episode of “The Newsroom”.

Chick flick wasn’t terrible though.

Kim went out for a run this morning & picked up groceries.  I just finished making my vegetable juice for the week.  Eggs are next.

14 years ago on June 14th Foo Fighters released the double album “In Your Honor”.  1 disc of 10 rock songs & 1 disc of 10 acoustic songs!

Thank you “Grunge”!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

50 rockers that have been in multiple bands

To add to that off of the top of my head.  Josh Homme “Queens of the Stone Age”, “Kyuss”, “Them Crooked Vultures”, & “Eagles of Death Metal”.  John Paul Jones “Led Zeppelin” & “Them Crooked Vultures”.  Paul McCartney “The Beatles”, “Paul McCartney & Wings”, & “Paul McCartney”.  All of the singer/songwriters in “The Travelling Wilburys”, Tom Petty, Roy Orbison, George Harrison, Bob Dylan, & Jeff Lynne.  Dave Navarro “Red Hot Chili Peppers” & “Jane’s Addiction”.  Many, many more.

If Trump doesn’t believe in aliens what on earth does he need a ‘Space Force’ for?

One person to record a LEGENDARY album!

Probably better to keep him in the dark, isn’t he always in the dark, until he’s impeached or arrested.

The most recent release from them deserves another review.  It’s a really great album but I don’t seem to listen to it very often.  I thought I would but I tend to go to “Systematic Chaos” from 2007 or earlier releases like “Images & Words” from 1992, or the 2 albums that were released while I was in the hospital.

My brother got into them before I did.  He was watching a few concerts on DVD that I thought were OK.  Then they released “Systematic Chaos” and I was all about Dream Theater.  Every day at work I’d listen to that, Lynyrd Skynyrd’s Greatest Hits & a sports podcast.  That would take up 6 or 7 hours of my day.  Left me sometime at the end of my day to chat with co-workers.  Of course I’d take my earbuds out to chat throughout the day as well.

The more you share this, the more readers I get.  No, I’m not profiting from this in any way.  I can’t tell who’s reading this but thank you! Word of mouth is the only way of promoting this.

Why did this become a music blog?  “Because music is a BIG @#!$%^*&( DEAL”-David Eric Grohl

To my father, grandfather & my father-in-law, thank you! So very much!

When you’re first born & can’t really do anything, who becomes your first hero?…….no it’s Batman, Superman, Spiderman, etc. It’s your parents! I have a ton of respect for any parent. There is no way I could do that job.

Here I am 35 & not all grown up yet. My parents are raising me all over again, I guess the first time wasn’t hard enough?

I remember being very young in my parents apartment, my brother wasn’t even born yet. Dad & I watched ‘Episode VI Return of the Jedi’ together & guess who grew up to be a Star Wars fan? Me. No I’m not the fan that lines up outside the theater for 2 weeks to be at the first showing of the movie & I don’t dress up as my favourite character & go to a comic convention. ‘Star Wars’ is a story about a father & son though, George Lucas just chose to make it a science fiction story. My dad got me into ‘Star Wars’ & ‘The Lord of the Rings’. I tried reading my dad’s books of ‘Lord of the Rings’, couldn’t do it. “Ah there’s going to be a movie someday” good thing there was!

Before I had cancer, my brother & I took dad to the casino to see a 1 hour 1 man play of the entire first 3 Star Wars movies, Episode IV-VI. We got him tickets for fathers day!

Dad got me into “The Beatles”, some of “The Rolling Stones”, “Queen”, & David Bowie. Thanks dad.

Kim & I bought our first house & got possession on November 25th, 2005. We borrowed my mother’s cell phone since we were going to Prince Albert the day we heard yay or nay on our offer. Our realtor called to give us the good news while we were on the highway. This is what I popped on from my iPod……

I probably wouldn’t have a clue who David Bowie is or Jimmy Buffett without my dad.

Now my dad is a fan of Foo Fighters because of me, that’s pretty cool!

This is the show my parents went to while I was in the hospital, the tour for this album! I had just entered the hospital a month & a half before this concert in Saskatoon in 2008.
