I mentioned a while ago that I changed the way I do my squats now, let me try to explain this as it seems to have made a BIG improvement! All of this is done while sliding my hands along my transfer pole not a firm grip, just enough to keep my balance. 50 of them 3 days a week, I squat like a backcatcher in baseball. I stay in a crouch for about 2 or 3 seconds then push with my legs, never pulling up with my hands. The other 50 is just me going from flat footed to my tiptoes & again holding it for a few seconds. Now I can actually see a muscle on my left calf. I was looking for results & I think I’ve found out how to get them.
I plan on doing muscle meaurements & weighing myself again on July 1st, the mid way point of the year.
Tough week. Started off still feeling a bit tired & sore from last week. Wednesday & Thursday were both terrible in terms of my energy. Today was better though. I went to bed earlier than usual, got up by 8:00 am & carried on as usual.
Yes, I got my routine annual checkup MRI results this week. I go for another routine MRI in 6 months, since I have a new doctor at the Cancer Clinic. My 3rd doctor in 3 years (I go there once a year), so my new cancer case doctor. I guess they found a cyst in my back, it showed up on an MRI from the first time I had one in 2008 or 2009? My doctor says it’s not related to cancer at all & it’s nothing to worry about, unless it starts to bother me. This MRI will be much shorter I was told, only 30 minutes.
She told me the scans looked fine, nothing odd showed up. I then turned to Kim and said “See, I told you I was normal!” the doctor instantly says “Whoa, I never said normal?!” I asked if there’d be a time when I don’t have to go in for an annual MRI scan. She said “When you get sick of me”, I immediately looked at Kim & said “YAY, we’re done!” jokingly of course. Gotta say this doctor is much more personable than my original doctor, who I don’t believe sees patients anymore, & her temporary replacement who was nice but a bit awkward. I’m glad to not see my original cancer clinic doctor that was VERY oppinionated & vocal (Body shaming me, shouting at me down a hallway because I’m not short or under 80 lbs). I graduated high school in 1998 at 185 pounds while playing sports, bike riding, running cross country.
Not really sure why they need to scan the insignificant cyst in my back, but as I said the MRI didn’t bother me this time, despite my severe claustrophobia. The annual scan will continue for as long as…..well there’s no real end date for it. I think she said they’ll just scan my brain now instead of also scanning my spine? They’ll take less time from now on.
Anyways, I’m still cancer free 11 years & almost 5 complete months.
If you met me in person and didn’t know I had cancer, you’d likely have questions, don’t be shy, ask away! I’m in a wheelchair, unless I’m doing my exerises, I can stand but I must hold onto something for balance. I wear an eye patch over my left eye to prevent my double vision that cannot be surgically repaired, because of my eye patch I have no depth perseption. My speech is quiet/unclear due to muscle loss in my cheeks, tongue, & lips as well as a loss in breath support. I look as though I’m much worse off than I really am…………….you should see the other guy though! WOW…not good!
I keep reading/watching reviews on that guitar & I like it more each time I see it!
There it is, the exact same guitar through the exact same amplifier I hope to find the amplifier used one day. That’s the tone I’m looking for, different from my other guitars. Without a doubt saving for the guitar. Amplifiers can be easily found used later on, besides there’s nothing wrong with my current amplifier other than the 4” speaker. Pretty sure I won’t be playing live, 20-50 Watts in an amplifier are plenty down the road. Being in a condo a 20 Watt is more than I need already!
I’m not a guitar collector don’t let me mis-inform you. I play guitar. I need one amplifier, a few guitars to play, & some regular guitar maintenance tools. I don’t need 14 guitars. It would be cool but they wouldn’t all get played regularly.
Someone needed to say it clearly & bluntly, and finally it happened. This is what it’s come to…
Another new tune from “Lamb of God”!
