Do you have a question about stage 4 brain cancer? Ask if you do!
I fell asleep to “Foo Fighters” the album “The Colour and The Shape”
I exercised to “In Fames” the album “I, the Mask”
Well we know our dog Brewster is OK for now. We knew that he has a severe heart murmur & thought it was getting serious since he was coughing so hard that he would gag. Turns out that he has bronchitis. He’s on cough medicine, anti-biotics, & got a steroid shot at the vet Sunday evening. No heart medication for now. The cardiologist looked at his X-rays & his heart isn’t enlarged. His cough was getting pretty bad, sounded like a veteran smoker! I guess he is around 98 in dog years. Thought I’d have to get all parental on my almost 14 year old dog for smoking cigarettes!
When I mix Brewster’s dry food with his wet food, in order for him to gain some weight, we have a routine. “Hello my name is Chef Daddy. Today/This evening I will be preparing you some very stinky dog food. A mixture of your regular smelly dry food with a touch of smelly wet food. Special just for you”. He gets a look in his eyes as if he’s saying “Shut up and put down my bowl already!”
Brewster’s health news was a relief, I was expecting much worse. The house thing will happen when it happens, & just getting over that stuff mentally feels as though SO much weight has been lifted off of my shoulders. Hard to save cash when you live on disability, Canadian pension plan & are still under the poverty line.
Between mixing Brewster’s food, exercise, practicing guitar, keeping the house relatively clean, wrestling with Brewster on occasion, house hunting, & other regular everyday things. I keep myself quite busy during the day, then Kim comes home & we try to relax with some TV. It may not sound like much but remember I’m in a wheelchair which slows me down a bit.
He seems to have extra energy now. I like that he’s up & about, checking things out. He seems to keep track of me around here during the day. He’s more like a puppy than he was when I left my Rehab program in 2012. He wants to wrestle & play now. He used to be content just sleeping in his kennel most of the day.
I’m good, it’s Wednesday that’s about the time of the week that my body get’s stubborn & doesn’t want to exercise, but I “carry on…” as usual.
THIS WILL STOP FOR THE YEAR ON AFTER A POST ON SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 17TH
Drummer, Chris Adler, talks further about his departure from “Lamb of God”.
A country A Capella group. There was a short lived TV show called “The Sing-Off”. All A Capella groups, aka no instruments. Groups from 2 to 10 people. I tried, oh so long ago, in high school to form a barbershop quartet. I struggled terribly with & we called it off after 1 rehearsal of 45 minutes accomplishing a 4 bar song. Everybody singing different parts makes it tough, at least in a 4 part choir you’ve got a section of people for each part & not just one person on each part.
Pentatonix won a season on “The Sing-Off”, Home Free won a different season. Home Free is more country on the 2 albums I have. I hear they change it up live though. Please remember that when you hear a bass noise, that’s one guy, he’s impressive! I’d be watching “The Sing-Off” if it was still on.
Talented group, just too much country for me!
