Do you have a question about stage 4 brain cancer?  Ask if you do!

I fell asleep to “Dream Theater” the album “Distance Over Time”, followed by “Metallica” the album “S & M” (Symphony & Metallica)

I exercised to “Audioslave” the S/T album, followed by “Halestorm” the album “Vicious”

Yep, back to exercises this week.  I actually lowered 3 totals to make sure I’m getting everything proper & the results I would like.

I had a temporary Physiotherapist, an older lady who was very nice.  She asked me if I was a body builder, I just laughed & replied “Hahahahaha, far from!”

2 things & walking isn’t one of them.  I do miss playing baseball but I quit after the season in 1997.  My arm was ready to fall off, playing 3rd base on 2 teams.  I got a call one night to play with the A level team, I was on the B level team.  I declined since I was a useless hitter & I had a team practice that night.  Company soft ball was fun though.

I don’t miss playing guitar & singing, sort of.  I don’t miss the 2:00 am nights on the weekends when I load up my car full with my amplifier & guitars, & then return home & unload it all in the wee hours of the morning.  If I was famous enough to have a roadie do the heavy lifting, I might feel differently about that.

I do miss sitting at home, singing & playing my acoustic guitar just for fun.  Kim even mentioned once that she missed me doing that around the house.

I know my Grandfather, on my mother’s side of the family, couldn’t understand why my brother & I were playing this type of music or what we got from making our music.  We didn’t play metal, but we listened to some of it.  I can’t do any type of metal scream, before cancer or now.  I never had a “desire” to do so.  There were so many other people that trained to do those type of vocals.  We played heavy rock music, but listened to more metal stuff.

Affleck is out as Batman/Bruce Wayne.  Now the rumours start.

Ideally I’d love to see Christian Bale reprise the role!  John Hamm would be a graceful transition from Ben Affleck.

No, I didn’t watch The Oscars.  I own “Black Panther” & “Bohemian Rhapsody” I just want to see “Blackkklans Man”.  “Green Book” won for best movie.  Never paid any attention to it.  People will say to me “Oh, you need to see it!”  What, will I die if I don’t see it?  That’s the only time I ‘need’ to see any movie.

This was funny in the 1990s when David Letterman caught wind of the gas station owner, Dick Assman, in Regina.  Now SGI won’t approve a novelty license plate that says ASSMAN on it?  Did everybody lose their sense of humour?  Would this be allowed in the USA?  The current President says things that are questionable at best.

TOOL (NEW ALBUM THIS SUMMER, MAYBE?)

4 guys based in L.A.  The drummer, Danny Carey, is a part of the Mensa organization.  Guitarist, Adam Jones, worked as a special effects worker for film & TV, he now does Tool’s album art & videos.  All I know about the bassist, Justin Chancellor, is that he is their 2nd bassist & I believe he’s English.  Singer, Maynard James Keenan, owns 3 or 4 dojos, has a black belt in a martial art, owns & operates a vineyard in Arizona, & sings for Tool, A Perfect Circle, & Puscifer.

They seem to enjoy teasing fans with false information about any release they may have coming.  They aren’t metal, rock or anything else.  I’d just call them a progressive music act.  The rhythms are tribal almost, REALLY good

Tool is not a band that you’d just tap your foot to.  Very minimal 4/4 time rhythm.  Maynard doesn’t scream, he will shout on key, & he is a very good singer, not showy but does what is needed for the song.  He prefers to think of his voice as another instrument in the band.

In their live concert set up, the drums & Maynard are in the back while the guitarist & bassist are near the front but on the sides of the stage.  The majority of their songs titles & lyrics are meant to be double – entendre.  Such as songs called “Prison Sex”, “Stinkfist”, “Aenima”, etc.  This is meant to provoke the listeners mind.

They’re quite private & very smart in not telling their fan base when an album will be released or anything more than fans need to know at the moment.  Their catalogue started with an EP & carries on from there….

Somewhere in there is a limited edition EP with a VHS of videos.  I got into Tool later on & had to download it as a torrent, after searching many pawn shops.

Please share this, I’m not profiting from this at all.  Word of mouth is the only way of promoting this.
