Music throughout the weekend. “Halestorm”, “Queens of the Stone Age”, “Tool”, “The Struts”
LANGUAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The second I posted Friday’s blog I went to www.youtube.com & there was already a review of the “Halestorm” album “Vicious”. The album was released at midnight Thursday night. WOW, I wait before I judge an album, I like to listen to it a few times & digest it. That review should be a reaction video!
Here is utter ignorance at its best. You realize they’re not just denying service to the #LGBTQ community! I assume the rest of us that support the #LGBTQ community would boycott this establishment as well. From what I know there is no location in Regina. If I were to pass by one on a trip I might go in, buy a small meal, finish it, thank them & as I’m on my way out I’d shout “I’M GOING TO SPEAK WITH YOUR MANAGEMENT! YOU JUST SERVED A GAY PERSON!” Or I’ll just pass by & avoid a heart attack. What if the employees have no gaydar?

“No, they sound too much like Led Zeppelin” – internet. OK, if you don’t like Led Zeppelin that’s fine. If you do like Led Zeppelin, why are you complaining? Robert Plant, singer of Led Zeppelin, thinks they’re great. If he doesn’t have a problem with them, why do Led Zeppelin fans?
I love Big Wreck but this sounds much like a specific Led Zeppelin song, other than a general sound. Ian Thornley even admits that this song was heavily influenced by Led Zeppelin.
Friday was quite/tame here. We stayed up too late, Kim hit the hay at midnight, while I stayed up to watch ‘The Late Show with Stephen Colbert’. Kim was grabbing some groceries & taking photos during most of the Blue Jay game, so I watched that since she really doesn’t care for baseball.
Saturday I watched more shark week & went to the Rider game that night. Kim & Brewster were out & about while I was at the game.
Dear Saskatchewan Roughriders,
Sincerely,
Me.
Today is get ready for the week ahead. Make a vegetable juice, hard boil some eggs, bake some fish, & try to be positive about cardio for 5 straight days as well as other possible workouts. Kim will get a few groceries, & finish up the little bit of laundry left to do, then a nice long weekend to look forward to!
GREAT BIG SEA
4 guys from Newfoundland, Canada. I think I saw them twice in Regina at ‘The Conexus Arts Center’. I only own their first 2 albums, on CD. I bought them in my teen years, the ‘90s. One in 1996 & the other in 1997. They released 10 studio albums & I believe band member, Alan Doyle, is currently a solo artist? They’re known for being from Newfoundland & doing some traditional Newfoundland music. I grew out of them when I discovered ‘grunge’ about 8-10 years after it exploded.
I must say that on the odd occasion that I do listen to them I like it. It’s something completely different than my usual rock & metal music.
1996 UP
1997 PLAY
When these were released, I was still cautiously dipping my toe into heavier music. I know I wasn’t into metal at the time.
The more you share this, the more readers I get. No, I’m not profiting from this in any way.
