Music throughout the weekend. “Tremonti”, “Paramore”, “A Perfect Circle”, “Nothing but Thieves”, “Foo Fighters”, “Devin Townsend”, “Stone Temple Pilots”
We were at the “Sandpoint Golf Resort” in Manitoba. It’s about 2.5 hours south of Winnipeg. My widowed uncle, Richard Gagnon, was getting married on July 1st. We drove with my parents to the golf resort. It was a very nice resort. Our cabins were excellent. Very nice cabins with 2 rooms, each with 2 twin beds. The cabins also had a kitchen area with a fridge, sink, toaster, & a coffee maker. We took food with us, my parents did as well. We were so far south that within 2 steps out of the cabins, you were technically in America!
We drove to Winnipeg on Thursday evening, we got there at 12:30 am or so. We stayed in my cousin’s new condo. My brother & Rachel had some stuff going on in Regina & had to change plans last minute.
Uncle Richard made things as easy as possible for us. The cabins were reserved & paid for, only 5 or 6 stairs up for me, and it was an OPEN BAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No, I didn’t drink like a fish.
The actual wedding was on the 19th hole, right next to a HUGE lake. Mom & I used a golf cart to get there, she has bad knees & I obviously can’t walk. Perfect day to be outdoors! Very sunny with a good breeze.
When we got there on Friday, we went to my new aunt’s cabin, Sammie, which I believe she owns & is a HUGE and VERY nice. Had a few drinks & supper, then checked in to our cabins. My cousin, Megan, stayed with us & Danielle stayed with my parents.
On our way back we picked up my parents’ dog, Goose. She stayed with my dad’s aunt & uncle in Winnipeg. Brewster was here in town with Sherry & James.
We were exhausted last night. I put some stuff away, Kim picked up Brewster, and we watched a ½ hour show & went to bed. Rough life relaxing.
Today will be like our typical Sunday. Getting ready for our 3 day week. Yes, I’m sun burnt on my left arm from when we had lunch at my great aunt & uncle’s in Winnipeg yesterday. I do have an AWESOME watch, pasty white strip though!
This is just my take on them. Chris Cornell, Kim Thayill & Hiro Yamamoto formed the band in 1984 in Seattle, Washington. They released 6 studio albums of full original material beginning with the album “Ultramega OK” in 1988, they broke up in 1997 after the release of “Down on the Upside” in 1996. Later on they reunited & released the album “King Animal” in 2012. Unfortunately singer Chris Cornell died before another “Soundgarden” release. Of their 6 studio albums, I’d like to focus on my go to album by them “Badmotorfinger”. Yes, they do have other FANTASTIC albums “Badmotorfinger” is the one for me. This is the album released before the wildly popular “Superunknown”. It is a bit ‘heavier’ than the 3 albums after it.
Johnny Cash covered this first song.
When Corey started SIAST, he saw me pull out the “Superunknown” album & asked if I had the “Badmotorfinger” album. I replied that I had never even heard of that album. He lent it to me the next day, after giving it 2 good listens to it, I bought myself the album. Corey is a HUGE “Soundgarden” fan.
I was a casual fan of them & Corey McDonald turned me into a more interested fan of them.
New “Into Eternity”!!! Oh, happy day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
New video from ‘Halestorm’!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I had many issues regarding the claim at first. He’s like the Tom Hanks of rock/metal.
I’m all for the #metoo & #timesup movement. Pay equality is a no brainer! Same job, same pay. I was very blind about these issues. There is one thing about all of this that seems odd to me though. It seems as though if someone is accused, they’re instantly guilty until proven innocent. That I don’t understand? Is it not innocent until proven guilty in North America? Are the accusers coming forward with physical evidence?
I’m not trying to be a jerk about it. I honestly do not understand? Sorry if I angered anyone. I’m dumb at best about this subject.
The more you share this, the more readers I get. No, I’m not profiting from this in any way.
