$30,000,000 Keep going Canada, Fort McMurray will make good use of your donations!
I could smell the smoke here Friday evening. Northern Alberta to their neighbors indoors in Southern Saskatchewan. No fatalities though, could be worse than it currently is.
Not cool at all!
How did we spend our weekend? Friday night we stayed home & did nothing but unwind from the week & watch too much TV. Saturday was our 11th anniversary. We went over to our friends place, Corey & Jolene & our “niece” Hannah, to hang out in the back yard, watch Brewster try to take on Dug (who’s roughly 6 times Brewster’s size), BBQ, shoot the breeze, take down some Rebellion beer, & cap off the evening with a showing of Disney’s “Tangled” before Hannah went to have her bath. We came home & watched/bought “Ellen Degeneres’ stand up HBO special The Beginning”.
Now it’s Mother’s Day. I hope you took the opportunity to “Love your Mother”
I just like the song below & it has the word “Mother” in it.
Nothing big for Mother’s Day. Mitch, Rachel, Kim & I took my parents out for appetizers. That’s what Mom wanted to do this year.
10 amazing drum stunts. LANGUAGE!!! They’d be impressive if the sound was better?
Of course it was also a weekend of music for me. A TON of “Ben Harper” with a dash of “Third Ion”.
I think Alter Bridge members deserve a break, especially Mark Tremonti & Myles Kennedy. I love their music, but the Energizer Bunny/Battery won’t last forever!
Stone Sour’s “Come What(ever) May” was released 10 years ago Friday…
Article with Mark Tremonti. A few videos inside the link
Tegan & Sara have a new video from their upcoming album
Jimmy Fallon & Keith Urban do country songs as a duo called FML
Preorder Chevelle’s “The North Corridor” on Friday, May 13th!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Let me explain this first. I’m not, nor was I ever a great singer, I was good enough. I can’t teach anyone how to sing. Just go out & do it. Repetition might just work?
“Yeah, I mean I think the best way to learn how to be a better singer is to just go out there and do it live every night. I think that’s what’s been the best for me. You know vocal lessons are one thing, but actually applying it onstage is the big thing.” – Mark Tremonti
Ian Thornley of Big Wreck never intended to be the singer for Big Wreck. The 4 guys dropped out of The Berkley School of Music to form Big Wreck the other members sort of voted for him to be the singer.
I never really got into “Hole”. Not because I was a Nirvana fan & then a Foo Fighters fan. Hole just wasn’t for me.
