I have a question. Has U2 found what they’re looking for? Honestly, they were my favourite group once I heard “The Joshua Tree”. Then I grew my U2 catalogue with everything up to & including “How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb”.

I’ve gotta say the new ‘Muse’ album “Drones” I was really excited for but it’s starting to ware off already. It’s great but not really what I was expecting? Tremonti came out the same day & really surprised me with how good it was!

Muse starts off really good then goes on a slow decline after this first track.

Taylor Swift made enough noise & apple heard, artists will be paid for the 30 day free trial of apple’s new streaming site.

Janet Jackson song from upcoming album this fall.

Is it just me or does it seem as though musicians are pushing their albums out really fast? Last week she announced the new album & today there’s a single & an expected release date for the fall? That seems really quick to me. I would think someone would release a single, announce the release date for the album once it’s recorded? I don’t know how things like that work, but it seems as though many artists like to work “under pressure”.

Don’t know why? This has been stuck in my head lately? I must need an “Odds” fix. This album was released in ’93, I’ve listened to it around 4 times since 2008 & it still holds up for me.

More debates over Apple’s streaming music site.

I don’t want my music streaming. How about a subscription to iTunes? I can download for free while Apple pays the artists? We’ve always been able to purchase vinyl, cassettes, CDs or digital files & now you’re taking away the opportunity to own music? If you’re paying them a decent amount for a streaming/radio site, maybe take a look & do the same with iTunes so I can download it & own it instead of paying for renting music for the rest of my life? Look at what you made & what’s wrong with it then fix it? Don’t just build a better mouse trap, fix the old one? More reaction to this topic…

Why Apple says Taylor Swift was right.

If I can’t OWN it legally, torrent files it is! Where you pay $0.00 for anything digital. You take my stuff away, I’ll take your’s away. I have nothing against others using a streaming service. For me it’s like renting an apartment, once you stop paying, you lose the apartment. If you’re paying your mortgage eventually you’ll own your living space. You’ll never own the apartment by paying rent.

John Oliver’s take on the Charleston shooting. Why is this still happening? If you hit your head against a concrete wall 400+ times you’d think it would start to hurt after a while?

Personally, along with many other baseball fans this is not right. Pete Rose bet on his team to win one game he was managing not playing in & he bet on them to win. Suspension, fine I agree, lifetime ban from baseball not right. Baseball is currently looking around the corner of inducting steroid users into the ‘Hall of Fame’. If one steroid user get’s in, most of the fans will react in a negative fashion.

  1. Hi Chris. What are the albums you rate highly for being able to listen to start to finish? I find most if not all albums I get tired of the same “sound” before the album is finished or else it just one or two hit songs with filler songs.

There a only a couple albums I can listen to start to finish without pushing skip…
    Tool (any album except Aenima)
A perfect circle eMOtive and Mer de Noms
And Metallica S&M. (It’s a greatest hits but the songs are different than the originals)
    Also strangely Arcade Fire Suburbs.

    • Zac Brown Band-Jekyll & Hyde (all over the place, not a country album at all), Foo Fighters -The Colour & The Shape, Big Wreck-In loving Memory…, Halestorm-Into the Wildlife, The 2 you mentioned, Metallica & MdN by APC, Soundgarden-Badmotorfinger! There’s a good start. I don’t buy individual songs, pretty much entire albums from iTunes or CD which I’m running out of room for. If I like about 80% of the album, I’ll buy it.
