That’s my main concern as well as do you like the info. This is stuff I like or that I know has a large fan base. I’ve told my cancer story & I don’t want to repeat myself. I hope you’re enjoying this music/other pop-culture blog. Let me know what you’re into? This is for you, & I don’t know what everyone likes, that’s what the comment section is for!
Rock It Out Blog from Tuesday evening “Muse” album review.
They trash this album. I’d rank this as my 2nd favourite “Muse” album after ‘Black Holes & Revelations’
It’s only Wednesday? This week seems to be going VERY slow for me?
Soundgarden’s “King Animal” number8 on top 15 alternative albums of this decade, 2005-2015.
I’m pretty confident I’ve got 4, 5 or 6 of my top 10 albums of the year. At least 4 of them I’m 99% sure of, my top 10 albums of the year could end up being a difficult choice this year?
Why have I been somewhat of a music buff during my life? My parents have very different tastes in music & my father has a head full of useless music trivia like I do. My dad is more of a ’70s rock fan where as my mother is more of a pop fan. My father & his younger brother listened to quite a bit of Jimmy Buffett back in the day though. My parents weren’t all that musical themselves, but our vehicle usually didn’t go far without music playing. To this day it just feels wrong to be in a vehicle without music playing turned up LOUD!
I remember going back to my parents house in ’99 after my grandmother’s funeral. I was 19 & didn’t really know what I was supposed to do or feel? I went to my room in the basement, shut the door & listened to ‘I Mother Earth’s’ “Blue Green Orange” album through my headphones. It was my first full year in university. I didn’t want to be at school so I skipped many classes & drove to Moose Jaw instead with my car stereo blasting Foo Fighters’ “There is Nothing Left to Lose” album on repeat through my Disc man I even missed 2 finals. If you missed 3 you were gone, I really didn’t give it much thought. December 5th of ’99 was/is a bad day. I also discovered my favourite band that month. From then on Foo Fighters’ became my favourite group to listen to. Even now if I’m in a rut I put on a Foo Fighters’ album & feel a bit better by the end of it, why? Because that band is always there for me on lifetime milestones. High School, a death, my wife’s first birthday with me when we had started dating, our first apartment after our marriage in 2005, a concert we had tickets to in 2008 about a month after I collapsed with stage 4 brain cancer, the song “Walk” released in 2011 when I was actually learning to walk & talk gain, & our 10th anniversary May 2015. They’re not as important to me as Kim, my entire family or Kim’s family & our friends but I know that along with all of those people those albums aren’t going away.

Mark Tremonti interview on the album “Cauterize”
As for “Cage the Elephant”, the band is fine with me, his voice drives me crazy, much like Geddy Lee from Rush did on the albums before “1985”.
The Amy Winehouse we never knew. Article.
I think iTunes had a boo boo? I had pre-ordered “Walk off the Earth” but it didn’t give the cloud on the 12th (release date) to download it? Weird?
You can buy the new “Live Slash featuring Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators” CD if you want.
This 3rd season was released on Netflix on Friday. 13 1 hour episodes, we have 2 left. I think Kim has a weird addiction. I like the show, but Kim LOVES the show. Every night she comes home from work & asks “Can we watch some ‘Orange is the New Black’?” We compromise. I’ll watch the first half of the baseball game I’m already watching, we watch 1 or 2 episodes of “Orange is the New Black”, then I stay up to watch the rest of the Jays game. We watch a butt load of TV!
I know very little about ‘Florence & The Machine’. I say give the group a shot at headlining/replacing Foo Fighters since Foo Fighters are unable to play. They were supposed to play directly before what’s an hour and a half time difference going to make? I’m sure most people weren’t going just to see Foo Fighters at the Glastonbury Festival?
Think of it this way, they can’t please everyone. ‘Florence & The Machine’ headlining the festival could be worse? They’re fairly popular I’ve heard their name many times. Who would you like to see? Whoever it is wasn’t chosen by the festival organizers for some reason?
18 years ago Megadeth’s “Cryptic Writings” album was released!
Big Wreck shared it, so here it is…
Dixie Chicks reuniting for European tour. They should make it a world tour? I haven’t seen them live since I was so against country music in the past. Dad, Bro, Mom, blame Kim for this on my iPod.
Rolling Stone’s 50 greatest prog rock albums
First number 1 album on Billboard chart for Muse’ “Drones” album.
Really, I didn’t see that coming I’m anxious for it’s release but I didn’t think it would be on loudwire’s most anticipated release list or even on their radar?
I’ll give A-Roid/Alex Rodriguez 2200/3000 legitimate hits in his career?
Songs I like. “Jacksoul” Soul music! Kim owns 2 of their 5 albums. The 1st album & the 5th album. Unfortunately the singer died of cancer after recording the 5th album which was released while I had cancer. This group is Canadian.
