ED SHEERAN

Please come to the site so you don’t miss anything!!!

So Brewster gets up to pee at 12:45am, I was still up watching TV. I let him out on the balcony to do his buisness & I’m not allowed to do that? At 12:45am do I get his harness & leash out and on him to take him outside while being noisy or do I quietly open a door in “OUR” suite to let him go to the washroom? He’s just over 9 years old beyond mid-life for a dog his size. “You can’t teach an old dog new trick”. If that’s true, he’s trained to go to the balcony door, or get our attention & lead us to what he wants or needs. Food, water, outside, or to play with one of his toys.

If anyone in the condo complains about anything other than him making noise, I’ll invite them in for cookies & tea so we can discuss the matter & come to a reasonable agreement.

I agree, GET IT, if you like heavy music! When they say they’ve got “Wolfie” they mean Wolfgang VAN HALEN on bass!

2 year old hears “Rage Against the Machine” for the first time on “Guitar Hero” & rocks out!

OK we’ll talk about the Elephant in the room, Ed Sheeran. I like him & his music. I don’t know him personally, from what I’ve seen of him being interviewed there’s no reason to not like him. Saturday night he played at The Brandt Center. One of the perks of being in a wheelchair, we got tickets. They sold out really quick. Physically handicapped seating has never sold out at a concert I’ve been to in a wheelchair. We get an awesome parking spot, & we have always been able to get tickets to a show that we want to go to.

Finger Eleven is advertising their new album repeatedly on social media.

As for my statement on Facebook, I’m not trying to be rude at all but it’s difficult to follow my 1000+ likes & 7 people while 293 people are set to just email. It becomes time consuming & I don’t even have to go to work?! I write these blogs that were started for me to update people on what I experienced during my time in the hospital, that’s why I was all over social media after 4.5 years in the hospital. So I’m here for email & my blog. Other than to find people from the past or “follow” your friends, how often do you message people? Maybe 10% of the time? Same here, I did that too. I had something to sell. First, the band I was in, now this blog. Am I using facebook the right way? I don’t know? I’ve set 95% of you, or more, to facebook messages only. Why? Because nobody has time to receive status updates from more than 10 people. I mean no disrespect to anyone but I am on facebook & it’s for email & to find out what my preferred music artists are up to. Read the blog please. Consider this my status update on Facebook? I’m fine. I’m in a wheelchair & I have a patch over my left eye to prevent double vision. I survived cancer. I’m here & it certainly beats the alternative! Everyday is a little bit better (physically) than the day before. I’m also a music junkie! If you haven’t guessed that yet.

Ed Sheeran is great live, he did nothing wrong, he was Ed Sheeran. Played his songs & a few songs that likely inspired him.

Ed Sheeran played my favourite Stevie Wonder song! AWESOME! The arena in Regina holds a small number of people, like 6000 roughly maybe more I’m not sure, I could check on google but I’m lazy. We got tickets we we’re in, I got to see/hear Ed Sheeran live! The opening act “Rixton” plays I’ve never heard of them. Cool new band for me to see/hear. I didn’t really care for their music. They didn’t do anything wrong. They played their songs, they were full of energy & they did their job, warmed up the crowd, great so far no harm no foul.

Sound is wound up to the point that everything is distorted. That’s fine, the venue is built for junior hockey nothing to do with music, the person doing live sound is probably 150′ away from me, I’m in a wheelchair. I’m on the main level, that person is on the floor. When I go to a concert I like to be by the sound board, since that’s where it will sound the best. I can’t always do that, nobody’s fault.

So we’re in a large concrete venue, sacrificing sound for a venue that holds the most people possible in the city. That’s fine, par for the course. There’s a show in Regina we have to drive to it,15 minutes away, GREAT, it’s not the 2.5 hours in a car on the way to Saskatoon.

They finish, lights come back, roadies flip the stage for Ed.

What did bother me were the 5500 people videoing 50% of the show on their cell phone. “Do you want to watch the concert now or in a few hours when you get home on your 6” x 3” cell phone screen, where the audio will likely be worse?” I know that there will be multiple cell phones at every concert. So go ahead take a photo or 2, take a video of your favourite song, then put your phone away. You paid what to see/hear this live concert & you’d rather watch it & record it on your cell phone? Wait for the concert DVD or blu-ray. It will sound & look better than the $60+ version on your phone & it wont cost more than $40.

I/Kim have paid the same price as you & I don’t own or want a cell phone, personal choice. You’ve got one great, cool. It’s called common courtesy. “Hey am I or my cell phone blocking your view?” “Yes you are actually could you please move 8” so I can see the stage”. Maybe I should have said something, but they likely wouldn’t understand me, my voice is very quiet & I’m difficult to understand at the best of times.

What did I think of the concert? I got to see Ed Sheeran live! It wasn’t what I expecting it to be. I watched half of it through an able bodied stranger’s cell phone 8′ away from me. If your cell phone is more interesting than what’s happening right now, why are you here? Good grief, you obviously don’t have the tine or desire to be here, you’re doing something “better” on your mobile device.

Songs I like. “Iron Maiden” Since we’re on the topic of “Ed Sheeran” he’s covered Iron Maiden! Iron Maiden are a metal group. Almost every metal fan wants to put every metal group in to a some type of sub genres of metal. That’s cool these guys fit into the “Power Metal” genres & that’s how metal fans/music fans are. Great! I personally don’t do that. There’s Metal, Rock, Country, Rap, Disco, Electronic, Pop, Classical.
