I’d quietly ask the flight attendant if my child has a bomb, if the response is “No” I’d ask what the BABY is doing wrong. “You don’t like it, you show me how to do it then. I’ll gladly accept my refund when you take back to where the oh so dangerous child & I boarded the plane”.

Apparently not every cell phone works? Don’t feel as though you need to click on every link. I’ll do this so nobody else has to. I’m on facebook & email only. I’ve found people on face book that I’ve lost track of over the years, everybody has an email address for social media sites, might as well us it for this blog. Up there are instructions on how to subscribe. Don’t worry, I won’t use the email addresses unless told to. They’re just there for your preference or if you’re not on facebook.

Even though you subscribe to the blog I always recommend coming to the site to read it in case someone comments on a topic. Comments are always welcomed. Look at that! Third Ion above Pantera’s Greatest Hits album currently sitting at number 14! Can I ask what the heck is Five Finger Death Punch doing on a metal chart, or any chart for that matter?

Dave Grohl’s facebook page shared it, so here it is I think this is my favourite track on the new album.

I asked a question yesterday about Tool & got zero responses, that tells me you either missed it, don’t like Tool, which is fine or you’re not reading this. It’s interactive, so I’d really like some feedback. If this site is just for me, there’s really no point in me writing it. This is more for other people, not me.

I listened to this album 3 times last night, I couldn’t sleep very well? It’s not a beat you over the head death metal album. It’s a metal album you’d probably hear playing at comic convention. Imagine if the people from the star trek enterprise recorded a metal album? Like meringue, a light & fluffy metal album with songs that will stay in your head. Only 8 songs on it, but all around 5:00 minutes & one song at 10:00-13:00 minutes. This guitar riff sticks in my head.

I’ve seen Ozzy live as well as Tool, Foo Fighters, Barenaked Ladies, Big Wreck, The Watchmen, The Mayfield Four, etc. Ozzy & The Mayfield Four once, the rest minimum 4 times. Live is quite often better than the recording, as usual for me!

Neil Young’s about to release a new album June 29th, & tour with Willie Nelson’s son. Notice the headline to the article just says “Willie Nelson’s Son”, not the sons first name? There’s a shadow I’d want to get out of. Jakob Dylan of “The Wallflowers” is Bob Dylan’s son, & this person is this persons child, etc.

EVERYBODY’S FAVOURITE DAY!!!

OK, I’m at 51 or 52 subscribers now you do the work please? If I see this 100 times that’s fine, please spread the word?

Sorry, Sunday’s post was late. Busy day for us!

Give the site a minute or 2 to load all of the links & everything should be fine.

Check it out if you like. What my brother started when I got cancer! No, I’m not biased it’s really good! I don’t do reviews I could but I know everyone doesn’t like the same stuff as much as I do or even like it at all. So I would say at least check out these albums on iTunes.

https://itunes.apple.com/ca/album/red-dragon/id917967693

Look what was released today on iTunes. “Third Ion’s” debut album!

I like going out for breakfast, just not on Sundays. It seems like everybody & their dog go out for Sunday brunch. We did luck out & find a place not busy at all on Sunday. I thought for sure we’d have to wait ½ an hour for a table at 11:00am for 4. We lucked out & went right in with only a few tables full.

After brunch we spent the day at my parents house. Kim sat outside with my mom, dad was doing yard work & I was inside watching the recorded Blue Jay game, aka swearing at the TV. Had supper & left shortly after

I think it’s time to start complaining about the heat! I can only tolerate 15-23C. Anything over that & I start pouring sweat, from EVERYWHERE! If you want to find me this summer, I’ll be naked in front of an A/C vent or in a cold shower! I can’t stand the heat & I’m really fun to be around when I’m hot, ask Kim. Come on polar vortex, I miss you! That’s how I roll, literally!

I’ve got 4 albums coming in June. First up is Barenaked Ladies on June 2nd. Then Tremonti & Muse on June 9th & finally Walk off the Earth on June 16th, all pre-ordered on iTunes.

Tremonti & Muse are the ones I’m most anxious for. Barenaked Ladies were mine & my brother’s first concert in ’92. I was 12 & Mitch was 5 at the time!

This usually a guarantee with a choreographed dance as well at most shows of theirs

10 incredible guitar prodigies, where they’re t now, would easily blow me out of the water on a perfect day for me. I was/am a very slow guitar player, never a fast solo player, just simple rhythm guitar.

I tend to agree with Jack White. You don’t have to tour, it is expensive & musicians don’t make much money if any from a newly released album. You also don’t have to release anything unless you want the world to hear it, you’re making music that YOU want to hear. This cheap/free music will catch up to almost everyone if something drastic doesn’t happen soon. Musicians can’t afford to go on tour everywhere so why should they bother releasing new material? They’ll get a 9-5 job & play music at home after work & on the weekends.

I like “American Ninja Warrior” it’s more of a sports entertainment show & an actual competition. You win or lose. You aren’t chosen by a group of “judges” on a subjective talent show & no points for pretty.

I don’t consider music a competition. Personally if I had my choice of these 2 bass players, it would be Flea of the (Red Hot Chili Peppers)

No disrespect to Flea, I just prefer Robert DeLeo from STP.

Songs I like. “Harry Connick Jr.”

I also have 3 Christmas albums of his. I don’t put them on my iPod until the holidays.

I’ve thought about my idea for people spending money on music. I don’t think anything will change unless customers habit’s & label habit’s change. I like digital music & having a preview of what you’re about to spend money on. Maybe digital files don’t sound great to people, fair enough go & by vinyl records or CDs, they’re still there & cassettes are making a come back too. CDs & vinyl can easily be scratched, fact, so take care of them if you want to use them if you’ve put them on your iTunes, iPod or phone. I don’t have the physical space for them & I listen to my iTunes more on the home stereo than I do on my iPod, & I’m fine with digital files.

Apple, pay attention please, an iTunes user has a statement about your service. iTunes is a great idea, in that it’s very convenient. For a song purchase maybe $0.50 for Apple as well as $0.50 for the label & $1.00 for the artist if they choose so? For a full album download $1.00 for the label, $1.00 for Apple & $0.00-$13.00 for the artist, you know, the people doing the grunt work for you? What are you going to do if the artists can’t survive on the money they’re making at the moment? Cancel or diminish the music portion of iTunes? I, personally, am surprised by the amount of new artists signing to a label with their album all over the internet for free & being successful with that process?

If music is free, let’s have everything be free. Groceries BAH I’m not paying for that or anything else ever again! Let us all riot & have whatever we want whenever we want. It’s happening with music, Netflix & other such things. So why not with everything? “I’m not paying so & so for that product! It should be free”! If that’s the case, everybody quit your job, you don’t need it everything is free or stay with your job & watch your paycheck slowly diminish in front of your eyes. Take your job on tour & do it in front of an audience. What? You don’t have the money to go out & do your job in front of people? Oh well, better luck next time, I guess.

Get your music however you want. Only the rich (labels & streaming sites) are getting richer. I don’t think $15 will break you for an album. For all of this to work, almost everyone will have to change the way they think, so it likely wont happen? Before I was diagnosed with cancer, I’d go into HMV & see a rack of CDs priced at 2 for $25 or 3 for $30, sweet deal. If I could find however many, 2 or 3 on the shelf, I’d buy them instantly!

Who on earth gets up before 8:00am on a Sunday? Parents with young children & those who have to work. I’m neither of those. Kim wanted to go out for a run, I wanted to sleep……………..I didn’t win that battle. “10:00pm, we should go to bed, early morning tomorrow” I think we just aged ourselves? 10:00 pm on a Saturday? That’s ridiculous!

I’m sure there won’t be a rock or metal festival on the Canadian prairies (Alberta, Saskatchewan, or Manitoba) that’s pretty much a guarantee at this point.

I’ve seen U2 in concert. When they we’re closer to the U2 from the ’80s & ’90s I’m good & I don’t have the cash to spend on that type of show out of province.

I had totally forgot about P.O.D. they were a flash in the pan for me.

http://www.loudwire.com top 100 alternative albums from the ’90s. The ’90s, that’s my music. I started high school in ’93. I was born in 1980 nobody around me in the ’80s listened to ’80s hair metal, so that’s not my thing. In the ’90s I found the music I wanted to hear over & over again. I would take my disc man to school to listen to before school started, listen to it on my bike to & from school & the 5 minutes between classes in the hallways. Then every night I’d fall asleep with my music on quietly in my room.

When I was actually battling cancer in the Pasqua hospital having my first of 7 cortisone shots. Paul Simon & Art Garfunkel announced a tour that included Saskatoon, & I really wanted to go, then I heard the price of the tickets & I was positive I didn’t want to go. 2+ hour drive with two ticket each priced at $350 a piece! NO! I don’t care who you are, I’m not paying that amount to see anyone.

I agree Corey Taylor (Slipknot & Stone Sour vocalist) Fall Out Boy are not about to “Save Rock n’ Roll”. I wouldn’t consider them a rock group at all. They are a decent pop band though, for me anyways. They released an album in 2013 called “Save Rock n’ Roll”.

Anybody still listen to “Dragon Force”? They have a DVD coming out. They got old for me after the second listen of their 1st album “Look at me I can play a billion notes in 3:30 minutes”. Good for you, you just keep doing your thing. Talented but every song sounded like a competition to fit more notes into the next song?

Songs I like. “Halestorm” 3 studio albums, 2 EPs each have 5 cover songs & 1 live album.

I’m not really a fan of their cover songs, maybe if they were live recordings?
