It’s a music blog so whoever likes it can subscribe!
I’m going to leave this first paragraph until I have 100 subscribers
PLEASE HELP ME?
PLEASE share this link & pass it around to those that might enjoy it. Subscribe from a desktop or laptop computer with your email where it says “follow”. Then you will receive a confirmation email that I don’t know what it says. Follow the instructions. After that you’ll receive each post in your email inbox on any device. Let’s get some more people on board? http://www.amillionmilesawayblog.com Don’t feel as though you need to click on every link. I’ll do this so nobody else has to. I’m on facebook & email only. I’ve found people on face book that I’ve lost track of over the years, everybody has an email address for social media sites, might as well us it for this blog. I have no intention of putting this on twitter, instagram, facebook, etc. it’s an old fashion website. Up there are instructions on how to subscribe. I’m at 44 subscribers so all 44 of you please help me out? DO I HEAR 50, 50, 50? Don’t worry, I won’t use the email addresses unless told to.
Even though you subscribe to the blog I always recommend coming to the site to read it in case someone comments on a topic. Comments are always welcomed. If you’re using “Google Chrome” as a web browser on a PC the http://www.youtube.com links will be open to show you the title, artist & a still photo of the video. Mac computers I know nothing about.
Give the site a minute or 2 to load all of the links & everything should be fine.
Hard rock fans, buy this “Red Dragon” album by Room 333, which is compared to “La Gargola” by Chevelle! https://itunes.apple.com/ca/album/red-dragon/id917967693
What did I accomplish by 7:30 am? Went to the kitchen at 6:20, had my 2 small glasses of blended fruits & vegetables. Started my workout of 300 crunches, some extremely off balance Yoda……uh….yoga. Let Brewster out, then Kim left for work at 7:30am. I managed to do 20 push ups, some planking & a short “wrestle” with Brewster. I’ll likely do more push ups & crunches later on. Now I’m just really tired at 7:55 am.
“Lip Sync Battle” this week between Emily Blunt & Anne Hathaway.
I think I’m in the very few over 25 that likes Fall Out Boy
Too funny! I hope this link works
Pretty cool story about 2 kids in Winnipeg at a Jets hockey game. The little guy did it right!
I hate knowing an album is done the recording process yet there’s no release date.
I sort of like ‘Slayer’ most of their stuff is good until Kerry King tries to do a guitar solo in the same key as the rest of the song, which never happens.
I can listen to Slayer for about 45 minutes, then I need to listen to something else.
“Faith No More” add UK dates.
Royal Blood live (not metal) 2 guys, a drummer & bass player, they both do vocals. The recent band that I’m really into.
Mumford & Sons North American tour dates
Stream the new ‘Alabama Shakes’ album
So vinyl albums are making a comeback, especially in the UK. GREAT! So people will go out, buy the album if it’s not already on their iTunes, that’s the first thing they’ll do with the record before it gets scratched, listen to the actual vinyl record maybe 5 times, then put it away & a few years down the road they’ll hear it on the radio and think “Hey, I’ve got this on vinyl at home!?!?” and they’ve likely been listening to it on their iPod or iTunes multiple times since they’ve bought the vinyl album.
Vinyl or digital either sound is OK with me. I don’t have the physical space for a vinyl collection. My 600+ CDs are in the closet behind me. So for me I’m all for digital music. I now buy my music on iTunes or I’ve put about 60% of my CDs on iTunes & never touch them.
I got $235 in iTunes gift cards for Christmas in 2013 I believe. 3 hours later, I had $0.05 left on my iTunes account.
Never heard music by “Fast Romantics” I’ve heard their name mentioned before
You know I’m personally against streaming music sites. You want to use them, go ahead. I prefer to own the music I listen to, & be assured that it is mine & be on my iTunes 30 years down the road.
I don’t want to pay for radio either, but I do want to pay for my music. That’s why I’ll always harp on “…let the artists determine the price of their music on iTunes up to $20…”. If they’re comfortable with their lifestyle & make enough cash on tour, drop the price. If it’s a group struggling financially $20 on iTunes won’t matter to most. The CDs behind me likely cost about $22-$25, and there’s roughly 600 of them. Maybe it’s dumb of me? I know that my CDs & iTunes files will be there in the future, unless there’s a theft or fire here. WARNING!!! LANGUAGE!
I’ve seen this on electric guitar but not on acoustic guitar
Here’s Stone Sour’s cover of Metallica’s “Creeping Death”
Letterman’s guests for his last 6 weeks “Late night with David Letterman”
Shinedown announce summer U.S. tour dates & confirm 2015 album release
Big Wreck live “Ghosts”
Paul Rudd as a superhero? ‘Ant Man’ trailer
Remember 12:00 am Eastern time in North America the 3rd/new ‘Halestorm’ will be available on iTunes!!! That’s 10:00pm in Saskatchewan!
Baseball stuff. Why do people hate Alex Rodriguez Barry Bonds? Because you both took steroids, got caught then continued to lie about it!
Let me see if I have this right? Gambling on your own team to win as a on field manager get’s you a lifetime ban from anything related to baseball (Pete Rose). Using steroids is OK though & you can be inducted to the Hall of Fame. I guess those are the rules, but I totally disagree with them. Seems backwards to me?
Songs I like. “A Day to Remember” No Mitch I don’t wear skinny jeans when I listen to them. I just don’t wear pants much at all, just boxer briefs, unless somebody’s coming over………………even then it depends on who it is.
