AT LEAST IT’S NOT FRIDAY THE 13TH

It’s a music blog so whoever likes it can subscribe!

I’m going to leave this first paragraph until I have 100 subscribers

PLEASE share this link & pass it around to those that might enjoy it. Subscribe from a desktop or laptop computer with your email where it says “follow”. Then you will receive a confirmation email that I don’t know what it says. Follow the instructions. After that you’ll receive each post in your email inbox on any device Let’s get some more people on board? http://www.amillionmilesawayblog.com Don’t feel as though you need to click on every link. I’ll do this so nobody else has to. I’m on facebook & email only. I’ve found people on face book that I’ve lost track of over the years, everybody has an email address for social media sites, might as well us it for this blog. I have no intention of putting this on twitter, instagram, facebook, etc. it’s an old fashion website. Up there are instructions on how to subscribe. I’m at 38 subscribers so all 38 of you please help me out?
Even though you subscribe to the blog I always recommend coming to the site to read it in case someone comments on a topic. Comments are always welcomed. If you’re using “Google Chrome” as a web browser on a PC the http://www.youtube.com links will be open to show you the title, artist & a still photo of the video. Mac computers I know nothing about

Hard rock fans, buy this “Red Dragon” album by Room 333, which is compared to “La Gargola” by Chevelle!

I do like my beer, but I’m trying to lose my big ‘ol belly. Unfortunately beer doesn’t help me maintain that elusive girlish figure I once had.

This doesn’t either.

I want this figure again.

This year Muse, Halestorm, Stone Temple Pilots, Into Eternity, Third Ion, maybe Tool, and Megadeth from what I know? I like the latest Smashing Pumpkins (Billy Corgan & friends) album, & Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds album “Chasing Yesterday”

To see Muse live is on my bucket list. This is why I don’t do reviews because I respectfully disagree with Anthony Fantano of “The Needle Drop”.

I don’t expect everyone to have the same opinion on songs I share here. It could easily go 3 ways. Terrible, it’s OK, or I love it.

One more person stuck in the ’80s or earlier gone!

Halestorm make music chart history!

In Flames live at The Wacken festival in Germany!

That’s great n’ all but when will we get a cross country festival in Canada? Remember the one day long touring festival Edgefest or Summersault? 1 day, outside in Saskatoon, at least 26 bands & 2 stages. ’99 I saw Big Wreck, Sum 41, Treble Charger, Finger Eleven, Hole etc. In 2000 I saw Foo Fighters for the first time, A Perfect Circle, Smashing Pumpkins, etc.

1st album

3rd album

How do you go from that ^^ to this?

4th album

I’ve heard Finger Eleven is done recording their new album. I’m guessing we’ll get new material from them this year? Anything would be an improvement from “Them vs. You vs. Me” from 2007. I like Finger Eleven but that album sounded nothing like a Finger Eleven album. They opened for I Mother Earth on the “Blue Green Orange” tour. This was I Mother Earth’s 3rd album, their 1st with new singer Brian Byrne & Finger Eleven’s first album.

I had heard Queens of the Stone Age were likely hitting the studio last fall. I guess they’re on hiatus though? Well deserved after the album (…like clockwork)

20 years ago a death changed rock music, no it wasn’t Kurt Cobain. “Mother Love Bone” before some of them became “Pearl Jam”

Tom DeLonge will be releasing 4 albums this year, from what I’ve heard?

Zakk is a metal version of Slash. They’re good at what they do, it just feels repetitive.

I do like Zakk Wylde’s acoustic stuff but even that get’s old to me fast.

Some of the groups for the “Rock in Rio” festival line up I’d like to see.

Rock It Out Blog special

Songs I like. “Coheed & Cambria” they’re not spectacular or terrible. I’d give them a 3.5 out of 5. I only have 3 full albums & I think I’m good.

Always check out the Rock It Out Blog or http://www.youtube.com/rockitoutblog

Why did this turn into a music blog? Because “music is a BIG ^%$#@&*^* DEAL”-Dave Grohl
