Rock It Out Blog news from Monday. For the topic of the discussion, award shows seem quite irrelevant to me. I’m not about to rush out & buy an album because it won best whatever on an awards show? Music is very subjective, not everyone is going to like the same music. Sure I watch award shows, doesn’t mean I take them seriously! They’re a talent contest for what’s popular at the moment.

Even shows like American Idol, The Voice, The X Factor, The Sing-Off & America’s Got Talent, & Dancing with the Stars, etc. Are just talent contests, judged by whoever needs the money.

These are all people who should give their music away for free. They don’t need money since they tour quite a bit. That’s why I say iTunes should let the artist choose the price. Those who need money will say $20.00 and those who don’t need the cash will hopefully say $0.00
