This was what I found hilarious on Tuesday’s David Letterman, that changed to his Top 10 list as read by the Mayor when I posted it.

I’ve watched the Metallica “Some Kind of Monster” DVD again. I don’t like their music, but through the entire movie, writing & recording “St. Anger” in 2004, they were working on themselves as individuals not as a metal band, which must be hard to do when you’re a part of 1 of the biggest music groups in the world! It’s hard to step back & look at YOURSELF from a different perspective. So me hating them is wrong. I may not like they’re music, but I know they’ve made an effort to improve themselves as individuals. It’s easy to watch other people and criticize the “flaws” in others. If you look at yourself you could just go with how you are at the moment or strive to make personal improvements, which is easier said than done. Remember what Michael Jackson said…

I’ve been the lead singer/frontman for 3 or 4 bands. I didn’t care if I was liked, our music was liked or anything other than is everyone safe and happy at the moment. Maybe there were 12 people or 500 people in the audience, doesn’t matter! I wrote the majority of the lyrics in my brother’s group. When I wrote lyrics, I didn’t “care” what people thought about them. I naturally wrote obscure lyrics that others could relate to. I didn’t do that on purpose, that’s just how it came out. I didn’t go over everything with a fine tooth comb. Blah, there it is, I’ll sing it & leave it as is. I may rewrite things to fit the melody in my head, but the idea would remain in tact.

Why do I like the music that I have? I’m not the type of person that can just sit around and listen to non-stop metal/rock/hard rock. That’s great, but sometimes I don’t want someone screaming at me. I have different stuff. Yes, I have Michael Jackson’s Greatest Hits, 21 songs most of them from a CD I own 3 or 4 songs from iTunes. I bought this oh so sugary pop album from iTunes, I actually preordered it! The first song, that is.

3 of these from Greatest Hits albums, the rest from full albums! Something different once in a while. Any song by the Dixie Chicks I usually enjoy. The album “Born & Raised” by John Mayer is absolutely FANTASTIC for me, still. It really holds up for me still.

I fall asleep with my iPod on a hard rock or metal album on. Kim’s not a fan of that type of music. So I play it during the time she’s not here or on my iPod at night through my headphones.

Why are Foo Fighters & Big Wreck my favourite bands? Both aren’t afraid to try something different! I like that. In 2005 Foo Fighters released a double album, 10 rock songs & 10 acoustic songs. For me 5/10 decent rock songs, then 10/10 acoustic songs. Check this song out on “The Pleasure & The Greed” album by Big Wreck, I love this song, way out of their comfort zone!

RIOB news from Wednesday night.

Halestorm week 4 in the studio.

Mark Tremonti in studio working on solo album number 2.

Should be easy. I don’t think Gene would really have to put any effort acting as God?

This album has to live up to ridiculous expectations now. Youtube commercials, TV commercials and anywhere else possible. More Foo Fighters on David Letterman.

More Muse photos from the studio!

Royal Blood performing on Seth Meyers last night. 2 guys bass/vocals & drums.

Halestorm opening for Eric Church through January & February.

10:00pm Saskatchewan time I’ll be able to download the first single from the upcoming Foo Fighters album, since I’ve pre-ordered the album on iTunes!

I fell…………..to 54th out of 271. From 34th on the CFL facebook page I’ve joined. I guessed the proper result of ¼ games. Oops!

FRIENDS episodes on Netflix January 1st 2015

Bono doesn’t need to apologize for giving out a free U2 album. Everyone who complained about it should apologize for how they reacted towards U2. You don’t like them, fine. Apple made a free app the next day to show you how to delete it. SO REALLY, GET OVER IT!

Why did this turn into a music blog? Because “music is a BIG @#$%#$& deal”-Dave Grohl
