I know I said I wouldn’t be posting any blogs this week, and no, this isn’t a music post like it should be. This involves Kim & I at the moment and The Toronto Blue Jays and I. I know there are other Blue Jay fans out there.

I’ve played the game of baseball from the age of 4 to the age of 17. I went to one T-Ball practice and one game and immediately asked to be put into actual baseball, using pitching machines at the age of 4. I’m no expert on the game but I watch as many Blue Jay games as possible, since all 162 games of the regular season are televised. Lucky Kim!!!

EVERY FAN AND EVERY COACH/MANAGER HAS FIGURED THIS OUT, OTHER THAN THE BLUE JAYS ORGANIZATION! Francisco NEEDS to be sent back to the minors to learn how to hit anything other than a fastball consistently!!!!!!!!!!! Leave Lawrie at 3rd when he’s healthy, and consider platooning Kawasaki and Goins at 2nd. Keep Francisco in the minors, he WILL get better and hit with more consistency as he learns to do so in the minors.

The 19 inning game was a “statement game”. What did Francisco do in that long game? Nothing! I don’t know him personally in any way, but I know he struck out numerous times with runners in scoring position to win the game much earlier that’s the statement he made in that game. Who got on base and scored the wining run? Kawasaki! The 7 time all-star in the Japanese league. Who’s more likely to be sent to the minors to make room on the roster for Encarnacion and Lawrie when they return from their injurys? Kawasaki and Gose the current back up outfielder! Why? What do they need to do to make the 25 man roster?

At this point in the season a team being payed $128,409,900 is out of the playoffs, why? That just doesn’t make sense???? It’s not Gibbons (field manager) fault or Alex Anthoupoulos’ (General Manager) fault. The team on the field is overpaid and should earn their paycheck. I would love to play for the Blue Jays, like Ricky Romero in the minors being paid $7,500,000 to “figure things out”.

Anyways, Kim found out this evening our vehicle is not starting properly. Hopefully it’s a cheap fix! It’s been acting up for some time? It took her 5 times this evening to start. She’ll call the mechanic’s tomorrow morning.

Last but not least. Like Sami on the RIOB, I don’t usually get upset over a celebrity death, but Robin Williams is already missed. A FANTASTIC entertainer who would always push the boundaries of comedy. I even bought “Dead Poet’s Society” from iTunes this evening and pulled out one of my all time favourite movies “Good Will Hunting” along with his 2001 HBO special on Broadway. Conan O’Brien on the passing of Robin Williams.
WARNING AGAIN!!! Apparently this clip ends with my favourite Nirvana song! Jimmy Fallon’s tribute to Robin Williams

And a song to say farewell to Robin. Written and preformed acoustically by Brian Byrne of I Mother Earth. All about suicide and depression. Buy it on iTunes, all proceeds go to a charity to try and prevent this type of thing from happening.

Why did this turn into a music blog? Because “music is a BIG @#$%#$& deal”-Dave Grohl
“Complaining won’t solve anything. If you want something done your way, just do it yourself!”
“Don’t try to please everyone, it CAN’T happen”
“Learn something from your mistakes and don’t do them again”
“I feel good about the good things and bad about the bad things”-David Eric Grohl
“Hubby Boo Boo” aka “Butthead” aka Christopher or Chris G. Fraser on facebook

P.S. This was written late Wednesday night. Still a hard lump to swallow.
