Thornley, all Canadian. Ian Thornley of Big Wreck did this after Big Wreck broke up in 2002 at least that was the last time I saw them. The band Thornley released 2 albums between 2002-2012 when Big Wreck 2.0 released the album “Albatross”. Ian Thornley and Brian Doherty, are the only 2 original members of the current line up of Big Wreck. While “Thornley” would play a small sampling (2 songs) at their concerts, there was still something that sounded a bit different……and not in a good way. I don’t know what it was, but something was a little off.
Despite “Thornley” and “Big Wreck” having the same singer, song writer and lead guitarist, comparing the 2 is like apples and oranges. Quite a few people, including myself, preferred “Big Wreck” to “Thornley”. They weren’t terrible, but they weren’t “Big Wreck”. Here’s 2 songs from both albums “Come Again” from 2005 and “Tiny Pictures” from 2009…
And a third song from “Come Again” because I can! Fun song to watch live!

It sounds completely different than “Big Wreck” to me.

There are quite a few movies in theaters or coming soon! “Lucy”, “Hercules”, “The Amazing Spiderman 2”, “Superman vs. Batman”, “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles”, “Blended”, “Captain America: The Winter Soldier”, “Neighbors”, “Sex Tape”, “The Other Woman” and I have yet to see “American Hustle” if it wasn’t for the exercising, Toronto Blue Jays and The CFL. I’d have way more time to go to see a movie.
