Saskatchewan, watch what you eat for meat products from Yorkton, Saskatchewan Harvest Meats, recall!http://www.cbc.ca/m/touch/canada/british-columbia/story/1.2690965

I don’t care if you like their music or not, as with any band, but look at what they did to help a fan out!

I don’t hate Jack White. His music is just more miss than hit for me. Here he is covering “Enter Sandman” by Metallica.

Still my favourite film along with “Good Will Hunting”!

I’m pretty sure I know why Pearl Jam hasn’t played this song live before. FYI-I’m a fan of Pearl Jam!

I only have 2 of his albums, and one is a greatest hits album. I guess you’d call him techno metal light or shock rock. Whether you like his music or not, make a point of seeing him interviewed. He’s a VERY good interview and an EXTREMELY smart guy. He also writes, directs and remakes horror movies. I don’t watch horror movies, I’m a wuss, but Criminal Minds and serial killer documentary’s don’t bother me?

It’s dumping rain here today and most of southern Saskatchewan has declared a “state of emergency”, due to flooding. I’m sure our old house is full of water in the basement. We’re good, we’re

Didn’t know they split, not a band on my radar.

Another group not on my radar.

I don’t have to understand why half of the world likes Metallica? I have to acknowledge that they’re huge. I hear many of their fans aren’t to harpy about recent albums. Maybe they’ve hit that point where they should just tour as much as possible on their ’80s material?

Motorhead, Soundgarden and Black Sabbath $4.25? I’ll take 10 please, so I can stretch out and relax!

Rickie Lee Jones, my parents music that they’d play on most road trips and I hated it as a child, seems really good to me now though. I got it from them with many other CDs!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hl6YWgumUBc It’s not a long album, 8 songs in total. As a kid I hated her voice, different than the run of the mill radio stuff or my Chipmunks/Sesame Street/Raffi/Mini Pops albums that I’d play in my room on my Mickey Mouse record player.

Here’s Metallica stirring the pot at Glastonbury.

From what I know they have one video. I was instantly hooked we’ll call it “Mexican rock”. I have the one CD “Fizzy, Fuzzy, Big & Buzzy” from ’96. They also did “The King of the Hill” theme song. I’m quite certain that there’s a different group on iTunes with the same name with 4 or 5 albums. These guys made one album from what I can tell?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-iQLNR9btr4 I think it was the group I’m talking about, sounds like them anyways.

I saw and heard this video and I’ve been hooked ever since.

I hope the plumbers have a great Canada Day long weekend! “We’ll be back Thursday or Friday to fix the a/c”. How many times is it going to break ’cause this must be the 8th time so far. I think this was the 2nd longest time it’s been working, 11 days, the longest time was 12 days. If they hit 2 weeks I’ll be floored! Have they ever thought of replacing the unit? If I get warm I’ll be half naked in the hall, and I wont be breaking any written condo rules and whoever passes by will hear this…… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YjQ1xD6UL-4 Yeah first world problems. The plumbers are the reason I drink with no shirt on half way through the day on a weekend! Good thing I’m pretty!

Why did this become a music blog? Music is my hobby as was baseball that I watch daily, Blue Jays baseball that is. I listen to a pile of music and I practice my guitar about 2 or more times a week. It’s true what they say about lead singers though. Some random girl completely wasted would approach me after a show and try to get me to go where ever with her. Became more of a pain that I wanted.

I always responded with “No, I have a girlfriend”. Dave bailed me out at the Plains Hotel once when I was approached by a drunken/persistent girl. She wouldn’t leave me alone. Dave saw this and called out to me “Hey Chris, would you mind giving me a hand with packing up my drums?” He bailed me out and I immediatelly said “Thank you” and probably went on a rant. It didn’t happen all of the time, maybe 4 times in total.

I thought if one of us 4 would go through that it would be Rydell, since he’s so pretty?

RADIOHEAD

Thursday, June 26th 2014

Daft Punk documentary in the works.

http://consequenceofsound.net/2014/06/daft-punk-to-be-the-focus-of-a-forthcoming-documentary/

HILARIOUS Texts! http://www.collegehumor.com/post/6977149/here-are-the-16-most-hilarious-ways-to-respond-to-a-wrong-number-text

Radiohead made 3 remarkable albums at first then many albums of random noise followed by “In Rainbows” then back to the stuff I don’t like. “Pablo Honey” was a pretty good debut album! “The Bends” is awesome and “OK Computer” is mind blowing, then “Kid A” to begin the random noise onslaught! With a glimmer of hope on “In Rainbows”.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XFkzRNyygfk “Pablo Honey” ’93

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BciOfJsqh7M “The Bends” ’95 and 2 more songs, great album

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-_qMagfZtv8

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IrTB-iiecqk Both have very cool videos

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IBH97ma9YiI Again cool videos from “OK Computer”

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u5CVsCnxyXg

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WBJICA5B7xE

One from “In Rainbows”. They put this on their website for a minimum of $0.01. I bought the actual CD.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WedRDYmtvX4 2007. An OK album, better than the albums in between “OK Computer” & “In Rainbows”

I’m hot and more than a little tired. Our a/c isn’t working……………again. It wasn’t working all day yesterday either it’s 80F in here today. Working out when you’ve been tired all week isn’t fun, it sucks, especially in any temperature over 74F. These are my first world middle class problems. I wake up somewhere between 4:30am-10:00am, last week was around 5:00am, this Monday as well when we drove to Saskatoon to see Queen.

Pearl Jam’s reason for covering “Let it Go”

http://consequenceofsound.net/2014/06/eddie-vedder-explains-why-pearl-jam-covered-let-it-go/

Groom & Groomsmen dance to Beyonce, Destiny’s Child and Backstreet Boys. HILARIOUS!

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/06/25/groomsmen-wedding-dance_n_5530110.html?ncid=fcbklnkushpmg00000023&ir=Good+News

I own 5 of the CDs, “S/T”, “Rated R”, “Songs for the Deaf”, “Lullabies to Paralyze” and a live greatest hits CD called “Over the Years & Through the Woods”. I’ve got “Era Vulgaris” and the most recent release “…like Clockwork”.

For me “Era Vulgaris” get’s a pass, not a fan of it in the least, all of the other albums are good and may have 1 or 2 songs not up to par for me. I’ll give you 1 song from each album that have been released in the order that I mentioned, just not the greatest hits album. They aren’t metal, but weird rock. They call it “dessert rock”?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IYbQMCWEAsk ’98

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K0fJQsB7G4g 2000

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s88r_q7oufE 2002 This was my introduction to them, because Dave Grohl played drums on the entire album.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=69e8oa85F3g 2005 they had this following song as their first single

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hGRqnNEOpe0

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oHDaKtx6bGY The only half decent song on “Era Vulgaris” late 2007

And now the most recent release that I can’t seem to get enough of. Dave Grohl played drums on the entire album again and multiple musicians played on different songs, Elton John, their old bass player (Nick Olivery), Trent Reznor (Mr. Nine inch Nails), and maybe a few more?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gOXaUjGk-yY 2013.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=21pJ2m45P0I This isn’t really a singles album. It’s a full album to listen to or one you might just pass on all together. I found that with each album, in the beginning, that the more I listen to whatever album, the more I’d like. Of course the exception of “Era Vulgaris”
